But Anna didn't need to translate. The girl seemed to understand English pretty well and she just jumped in answered Simeon's question directly, and in English.
"Martin's the boy they found at the edge of the Black Forest. It seemed as if he was raised by wolves. Professor Brunner has been wanting to study feral children for a long time. We were just sedating him... he was very strong for his age... but then strange things started to happen. We gave him sedatives that would have put out a horse, but he didn't react to them." She didn't stop speaking. It was as if once she had started, it was easier to just keep going. "The professor named him Martin, and tried to teach him to speak, and educate him while at the same time studying his behaviour. But Martin was aggressive, and he didn't like people. He spent a lot of time under the bed, howling like a wounded puppy. And when they tried to get him out he bit and scratched them so much they had to be hospitalised. In the end the professor just let him sleep there... He... he was scared, and alone, but he wasn't a monster. How coud he have done this to us. He just suddenly went mad and... I don't remember much after that. It's like a dream."

Simeon looked at Anna...a bit of concern. Sounded like they had a lost cub on their hands. One that this 'professor' had inadvertently set off into his first change. Though was it a wolf who had changed to human and had been confused or the other way? Either way it was trouble.
Looking at the girl he asked quietly "Is there anything else you remember about Martin?"

"Well... he scared most of the staff. Nobody really liked to go near him. And he was prone to violent outbursts. But I knew he was just scared. We didn't know his exact age, the professor estimated puberty, so we figured 12 or 13. He learned German rather quickly. He could say the basic things within weeks... but he didn't like being cooped up in that room. I don't think he understood why we didn't just let him go back to the forest... or that he wasn't a wolf, but a human... it is a bit hard to explain."
She finished speaking and closed her eyes, breathing a bit more easily.
"What happened to Dr. Brunner? He'll be heartbroken that his little experiment went crazy on him..."

Simeon looked over at Anna, he wasn't sure of the 'professor's condition and looked to see what she had to say. or at least see how she reacted, and take his cue from that. If the professor was dead for sure, he would know by looking at her. "I am not sure..." he began.

A sharp knock on the glass indicated that their visiting time was over. The young nurse who had brought them was standing outside, looking slightly apologetic, but waiting.[/color]

A faint look of relief crossed Simeon's face. At least they wouldn't have to give the girl any more bad news. Doing his best to giver her a reassuring smile "We will find out for you. Don't worry and just get better. Maybe we can come back and visit and let you know more, if we can get past the nurses."
Looking over at Anna "We best get going and let her rest." He figured they could talk more about what was going on once they left the hospital.

Anna nodded and followed Simeon out of the room. She too was rather relieved that they didn't have to explain what had happened. She thanked the nurse as they exited and then whispered to Simeon.
"What do you think he will do when he realises she's woken up?"

But Simeon and Anna never did get to see the nurse's reaction, because by the time they had reached the hallway the nurse was nowhere to be seen. Instead they were greeted by a man in a suit, who in turn was flanked by two heavy men who could only be his guards.
"Now that was impressive," he said with a toothy smile. "I had a feeling Frank would do his job... but you have turned out to be much more than I bargained for." He turned his smile to Anna. "You will have to tell me someday, what did you to that girl when all of modern medicine could not save her..."

Simeon stepped in front of Anna, as he looked at the men and then up and down the hallway. Too many people about, not the time and place for a scene. "I am afraid we really don't know what you are talking about." He said with feigned innocence.
Even as he spoke he was trying to formulate a plan, hopefully this guy and his goons would be adverse to starting something in a public place.

Anna stepped back, looking very shocked. Frank? The crying boy in the bathroom at the University? So they had walked into a trap. She had no way of explaining this to Simeon now, but judging from the look on his face he understood what was going on.

The man made no move towards or away from Simeon and Anna. The "guards", however, both flashed revolvers at the two of them. From the staircase they could still hear the bustle of the hospital, but this floor seemed to be empty.
"I think you do," he didn't appear fooled by Simeon. "You see, my associate is really interested in what makes people like you tick, and he'd pay a hearty sum for you... dead or alive. Now, I trust the legend of the silver bullet isn't far off. You see, it worked on the others..." He grinned as he indicated the revolvers. "Now, I trust you won't make a scene?"

Seeing that there was 'no one' about...and the fact that their present company already knew what they were Simeon decided that he had nothing to loose. "Of course I will make a scene..." As he grinned wickedly. Using his rage, he shifted to Glabro and lunged at the man's two henchmen, hoping to give Ann a chance to run and get away.
(Rage for instant shift spent)

Anna wasn't quite sure what to do. She really wanted to shift to Crinos, but considering the hospital halls were probably equipped with surveillance cameras, she knew it was a bad idea. Instead she joined Simeon in Glabro. Running, of course, was one option. But where to? Following Simeon's lead she swung a massive Glabro fist at the nearest of the henchmen.
((Also spending rage to shift to Glabro))

"Get backup, seal the area... no one gets out!" the man spoke into a wireless and then turned quickly to his henchmen. "Get the girl, don't kill them!"
Even as he was speaking, Simeon had already landed a blow into the jaw of the nearest henchman. He staggered back a couple of steps and fired a round into Simeon's chest.
The other two both fired at Anna as she approached. The first bullet caught her in the shoulder and the other in the leg, but she keeps approaching and attempts an attack, but her swing misses the gunman.
Damage this round (in lethal) Simeon: 4 Anna: 5

Growling "Nice try." Simeon, as he swings a gain, his other hand moving to grab his opponent gun hand, with the intent of bending it back and breaking it.
(Split action for two please.)
