The four headed away from the scene at high speed, Max and Yvonne barely had to slow down as Adiyah and Torsten could almost keep pace with them. As they got further away they could hear the sound of the booted feet stomping toward the gory scene. The boots stop and they can just about hear the quick command that takes place, though it's getting quieter with distance. "Too late! Spread out, sweep the area!" But it looked like whoever they were they were demonstrating a reasonable amount of caution, as they showed no more sign of running about and the few noises they made rapidly faded into the distance.

Max waited until they were out of earshot before speaking. "My flat isn't far from here," he said. "We shouldn't risk running around town like this." By "like this", of course, he meant the fact that they were all a little bloody and Torsten's clothes were ripped. He didn't know the city too well yet, but he tried to keep to the less crowded streets and back alleys. He wished he'd learnt to run the roofs like Trick, that would have been useful right now. Assuming nobody has any objections, shall we move to Max's Apartment

Trick arrived at the edge of the park and perched on the nearest rooftop. There was a black van parked on the curb a little way down the road with a driver in it and the engine running and it looked like there was activity in the park but Trick would have to move closer before he could make out any detail.

Yes = something was definitely up, Trick didn't even need Garou instincts to tell him so. Black vans like that were never good news. In his position on the rooftop he was safe, but too far to make anything out. He was going to go through with this...
He scuttled down until his feet touched the pavement soundlessly, then crouched in the shadow of a corner, peering, thankful for his taste for dark clothing. The black greatcoat flowed neatly into the shadows. He decided against shifting for the moment and instead crept closer, using the shadows of the vegetation in the park. Not looking for trouble, he repeated silently to himself.

As Trick edged closer to the park it was readily apparent that something was going on further in. Though the foliage and the dark of night did a good job of camouflaging his stealthy approach it also made it hard to see anything more than some vague shapes moving around further into the park. It looked like six in total, moving in pairs, though the shadows could be deceiving him. The driver of the van doesn't seem to have noticed him yet, in fact Trick suprises himself with the near-silent approach he makes. He couldn't be sure it was going to last though, it would be easy to scuff a shoe against the floor or step on a twig in the dark.

Luck of Gaia's own, Trick thought to himself, allowing himself a faint smile. Too soon to be satisfied though, he wasn't really getting anything, except a clear idea that edging closer would be risky. Six armed men could give even a Crinos some trouble... if they were so inclined. Who knew? You didn't find out these sort of things through direct experience.
He edged a few more steps closer, then risked it and shifted to his lean, black lupus form. His original tribe left him a good heritage, a slender shape that fit in with the shadows well. Straining his nose and ears, he kept to these shadows as he crawled low, closer, closer. In the dark, if he ran away fast, he might even be able to pass for a large mutt for a moment.

Trick took to his wolf form with ease and made his way slowly into the park. All looked to be going well, until he placed a paw in an unnoticed patch of leaves which makes a clearly audible crunch in the quiet night. He tensed, instinct telling him to bolt, but a quick glance back at the van showed that the driver wasn't really paying attention and it seemed Trick had gotten away with it this time. Not being the most alert of men, or wolves, Trick found himself unable to make out any detail of the shadowy figures. His lupine nose does pick up a scent of blood and recently-fired gunpowder inside the park though. From where he is, he can move further into the park to take a closer look or stop to investigate the van.

His senses told him that some of the action had already happened. Trick's ears twitched. He was not altogether built for this, but rather than frustrate, it egged him on. Careful, careful, and you could manage anywhere...
He watched his footing and focused his other senses on picking up any other signals. Whose blood had been spilled here? Belly close to the ground, he kept on creeping forward until he could get a clearer picture of what had happened in the park.

Trick moved in stealthily, making only a little noise and keeping to the shadows to the best of his ability. Once closer in, he could tell a little more about the scene. There were a couple of dead bodies that were the source of the prevalent smell of blood around the scene, they were dressed in suits and had numerous injuries that looked very much like bite wounds from wolves. The live humans were of course a far greater concern, there seemed to be four of them in total standing in pairs. The first two are near the bodies watching over the area and waiting for something, while the other two were further off walking through the park. They appeared to be carrying assault rifles. Despite what he thought was a good effort to stay unnoticed, one of the men standing near the bodies happened to look in his direction at exactly the wrong time. For a few seconds he stood in suprise, but it was too little time for Trick to act on before he spoke. "Hey, look there." he said, raising his gun to aim at Trick though not showing any sign of firing yet. His companion looked where the gun was pointed and spotted Trick too, raising his own gun and answering the first. "Is that a wolf?"

Epic shit. The gun made Trick freeze in place, staring at the two men, his ears folding back, belly brushing the ground. He was not about to do anything that would prompt them to shoot him, but he didn't think he could slip away before getting shot, despite lupus speed. Not when both guns were trained straight on him, anyway.
A wolf sighting in Berlin was not the sort of thing he thought people would just pass uncommented. He didn't even look particularly European, as wolves went. Perhaps if he lay low enough, looked scared enough, he could pass for a jackal mongrel. Sometimes humans really were that blind.
Not usually.
He swallowed the Rage that rose up with alarm and waited for one or both of them to make a false move.

The pair glanced nervously at each other, despite Trick's inactivity. "Call the others." Said the first to break the silence, the second responded by reaching for his radio and talking into it. "We've got a wolf here guys, you should come look." His hand stayed on the grip with the stock tucked firmly into his shoulder so the gun was at least pointed in Trick's direction, even if it wasn't held so steadily anymore. The gun held by the first didn't waver at all now the initial suprise had worn off. Trick's hearing picked up the noise from the receiving radio held by the other pair, some ten metres away through the park. He didn't have much time before he'd be facing four guns instead of two.

Trick was still cursing in his mind, but his choice was clear. Guns hurt. Till now, he hadn't actually breached the Veil, but if they shot him and saw him heal then it would certainly come closer. By their reaction, he judged that they weren't actually expecting or looking for a wolf. They were probably not in the know. He'd need a backup plan to keep them quiet, somehow, but that was not his first priority right now.
His first priority was to run, and he did just that - bolting so suddenly, so sharply that his hind legs kicked up dirt. He fled into the deeper shadows, hoping his dark coloring and lean form would be easily concealed in the night. He leapt away with teeth gritted, awaiting, any moment now, to feel the bite of bullets under his skin.

Thankfully, no bullets pursued Trick's escape as he made full speed out of sight. Whether they were caught off guard by the sudden move or just didn't have any reason to shoot Trick could not tell.
((you're away, feel free to move another area if you want))
