< A few days after >
Nadezhda storms outside as the last of her injuries are healing after her rather unsatisfactory brawl with Saxon. Then she lights up a cigarette and stands there, fuming quietly.

Karin had been waiting. It was one thing to sneak up all the way to the front door, but she wasn't even trying to get inside, what with all the puppies throwing all their egos around. Even if Karin hadn't been cloaked in shadows, Nadezhda would have had to be paying extra special attention to notice the little white rat sitting in one of the lawn chairs. Karin then shifted to her homid form, and stared at Nadezhda. "Fighting already?" she asked smugly. "You're new. I don't know you. There's lots of new folks around lately. I wonder why..." Karin was still wearing the old labcoat with the nametag on it. There was blood on coat, and the nametag read, as always: Karin Breitenback, Medical Technician. It didn't matter that the woman in the picture was blonde, and looked nothing like the girl sitting on the lawn chair.

If she hadn't just shifted in front of her, Karin might of got a more hostile response. There was little point messing around if Karin knew she was a shifter, Nadezhda was still a little pissed off that everywhere she met some bastard knew more than they should though. "Lucky fucker, he could take on anyone if he had enough bloody bookshelves to drop on their fucking heads. Piece of shit! Who the fuck are you anyway mousey?" She takes the end of the cigarette out of her mouth and flicks it, trailing sparks, towards Karin.

"Karin Breitenbach, Medical Technician," Karin tapped the nametag idly as she said that. "But I could ask you the same question, standing out here, looking all shifty-like and calling people mousy. Except I won't because I don't care. I can't be bothered with names and all I really need to know is that you're one of them."
Karin stood up and straightened her lab coat. Then she flattened her hair and took a set of eyeglasses out of her pocket and put them on. Then she resumed staring at Nadezhda.
"Tell me, angry-puppy, are you reasonable person?"

"You could ask me the same fucking question, but you're on my patch now. So why the fuck should I answer any of your questions?" Nadezhda steps up to Karin and glares right back at her. "What the hell do you want?"

"Apparently not," Karin shrugged, but didn't back down.
"Here's why, Little Miss Hostility," she countered. "Because you and your kind have managed to make a right fucking mess of things. You always have, and you know, we've come to expect it. But who do you run to when things get messy? That's right, us. Your cubs get snatched from under your noses, you come to us. Your kin get lost, you come to us. Puppies make a mess, and we are left to clean it up. So, in general, it would really help if you're nice to me..."
Karin pulled a fag out of her own pocket and lit it. Then she started blowing smoke into Nadezhda's face. "I want what you want," she said, still in the habit of using the collective 'you' for the werewolves, despite that the fact that she had no idea what Nadezhda herself wanted. "A neutral place for negotiations. Tiergarten park, by the fountain. Send someone nice. I liked the Shadow-Stalker."

"I don't make a fucking mess of anything. I clean up messes." She grins, being a smoker herself the faceful that's blown to her doesn't affect her in the slightest. "They were on about the bloody kin earlier, personally I couldn't give a shit. Bloody humans just get in the way. You can talk all the hell you want here since I don't see how you've earnt any special favours by giving them more liabilities to look after."

"I see, so you're a tough chick, hmm?" Karin gave her a scrutinising look. "A real bad-ass. One of those 'I only look out for me' types. Did you have a hard time growing up? You had to fend for yourself early on? Daddy wasn't around to tuck you in at night? So you didn't get the fairytale childhood all the human kids talk about." Karin paused, took another drag from her cigarette and then looked back at the werewolf.
"Word of the wise, my new friend, don't take your unresolved hostily issues out on a Twitcher..." She took a few steps backwards. Apparently this conversation was over. "Like I said, Tiergarten park, tomorrow at noon. And send someone nice."

"Fuck you bitch, I had a great upbringing, my father was a minister and told me bedtime stories. My childhood is nothing but a collection of happy memories." She pauses to grin, apparently she wasn't paying much attention to Karin's demands. "The only unresolved hostility is the hostility that you've inspired and I can resolve by breaking your skull."

Karin laughed, giving Nadezhda a parting wave as she walked away. Still in the yard, she cloaked herself with the shadows once more and shifted to rodens, and then disappeared.

"Everyone's dead already, they just don't know it yet." Nadezhda spits on the grass and heads inside while pondering who the hell was going to piss her off enough to killed first.
