Caitlin ran her hand down her face and ground her teeth again, all that was keeping her here all that was stopping her from walking out in disgust was her dignity, was her manners and training.
She took a breath, and then another dammit she wished someone had taken the blame for the mistakes she had made, hell she would have been well on her way to fuckin’ elder if that had been the case.
She waited for a moment to speak then, waited till it was appropriate her voice quiet and calm though like calm waters there seemed an undercurrent. “I am sure you are right Anna, however I think you more than anyone knows that like the Devil, the wyrm is the great deceiver and it takes many forms…even those of innocence. But as the matter is seemingly over and dealt with I will speak of it no more.”
She looked then to the large Fenrir looking briefly into his eye but not long enough to constitute it a challenge just enough to know that she was no cub “Rhya,” She used the honorific as was appropriate to his rank. “Though it is my purpose to question, sometimes through those questions I know...” Kamut got a quick glance, she was sure he understood ...she was not altogether happy that he had been over looked, mule or not.
She looked then to the black wolf, her voice still soft and calm her nostrils flared momentarily. “Perhaps we might speak later?” For now Caitlin was quiet manners, now was the time to watch and learn, this was a very interesting gathering. Right now she decided to let elders deal with the newcomer and her bloody silver bullets…

Danny raised a hand slightly for attention. He might be the ranking Garou at the table, but he was no leader, and he was no mediator. At times like these he was glad Vasara was the Philodox.
"Please sit down," he acknowledged Adiyah's arrival. "Better late than not at all. I hope the family is ok." Then he looked around at the others. There was no point discussing this anymore. "The ghosts are no longer the issue at hand. What is done, is done." He gave Caitlin a look that meant he was thankful she was dropping the subject.
He turned to the ones asking the more pressing questions, starting with Vasara. "She is Nadezhda, Galliard Daughter of Fenris. She is ok."
He left Nadezhda to wonder how he knew that, and then answered Yvonne. "It was the night they took Jan," he said. "They were after our kin, but when I interfered and stopped them taking Christina, they followed us here." He pushed the chair back and fetched a small tin box which he then placed on the table. It had a single fired bullet in it, and it was shiny and distinctly silver. "This is what we're dealing with," he said. "And right now, they are as big a threat as the Spirals. Luckily, they seem want us alive, so they aren't too intent on using them unless we force them to. As far as I'm aware, none of them made it back to report our location." At least Danny had surmised that much from the lack of any further attacks. "They don't seem to have a way to find us," he said. "So let's not make it any easier by doing something foolish. The whole mess with Martin is what led them here in the first place. Guard the veil as you would guard your lives." He looked at Vasara. "Kasiya will aid the pack in finding Jan," he said. "Or at least give you a place to start. If you need a good set of eyes and ears, Shadow-Stalker can go with you." He glanced at the Shadow Lord, hoping he didn't mind him volunteering him like that. "Right now it is important we lay low and keep together. But someone needs to contact the Ratkin, and it definitely can't be me." He looked around, hoping someone would volunteer.

As you should know more than anyone... I wonder what she means by that.
Anna stood up to get a good look at the bullet in the tin. A couple of weeks ago she had experienced for the first time what it was like to be shot, repeatedly. And those had been regular bullets. She wasn't about to underestimate silver ones. She let the matter of the Hag drop for now. There would be time later, after her Rite of Passage, after they had found Jan.

It was turning into a gobfest all right Saxon concluded watching the others, why did they have to make it all complex. Decide what you are going to do and then do it, come back mourn those that had fallen and then get rat arsed, worked for him every time.
He looked at Danny and Vasara, "Alpha's you have tasks for us? Then assign them and lets move on. Otherwise some of us here will still be yapping on about things tomorrow."

Now that really wasn't ideal, talking to Ratkin, she hardly knew anything about them anyway. As ever though, someone had to do it and anyone else who seemed capable of it was tied up. "I can try to talk to them." she sais to Danny. "It might be good if you told me a bit more about them first though."

"I would be glad to assist, if I can." Kamut looks around at those he would be accompanying. Vasara, Saxon, Anna and even Kasiya get observed but only for enough time to give an amiable nod to each. Unless Vasara refused his accompaniment there was no more to say.

Since everyone else seemed to be getting sent off, except Adiyah who hadn't been involved in either plan yet, Nadezhda peers closely at the silver bullet as she stubs her cigarette out on the table. "Looks like a fourty-four or four-fivety-four. Maybe a fourty-five. Worth saving though, you don't often come by chunks of the stuff, if I had the moulds I could re-cast it into something I could shoot." She looks up at Danny from the bullet to ask a direct question, though the look she gave him was far from pleasant. She'd introduce herself if she was good and ready and didn't need some cripple knowing more than he damned well should. The question is totally unrelated to the searing rage though. "Got anything else that needs doing? Not that I couldn't handle any of it, but you seem to have enough people on the job already."

"Family is fine, safe and sound. Thanks for asking after them." She smiled, and fell silent letting him speak.
She looked over the new faces, pausing on Kamut first, then Nadezda. Certainly seemed like an odd assortment this caern had, herself included. She moved closer to see the bullet, wincing at the gleam of silver. Nothing like trouble that didn't directly inviolve spirals. She sighed.
Klaus, what have you brought our family into?
She glanced to Yvvone as she spoke. "I could go with her, Danny if you like. Be better to stick together, if there are things like that happening." She gestured to the box, shrugging.

Kasiya meets Kamuts gaze without hostility, only boundless calm. For a moment he hopes that the Shadow Lord knows what he's doing. Ragabash don't have a good track record at this caern it seems from the pictures above the fireplace.

Caitlin rubbed her one of the scars across her belly as she saw the bullet; she herself had felt the sting of silver though not in the form of a gun, it was not something one would forget.
She looked over to Yvonne and the Adiyah , “If you want I can join you, I don’t know too much about the Ratkin but I’m pretty sure I can talk them into anything even if its just so I shut up.” Saxon got another smile then, she may as well get that in before he did.

Danny nodded to Adiyah and Yvonne, but considered Caitlin's offer to go along for a bit longer. He was sure the Ratkin wouldn't be too appreciative of Caitlin's mouth or manners. "Alright, you too," he said finally. "But I need to talk to you in private first. Tomorrow morning, then I can tell you all you need to know about Ratkin."
Noting Middle Born's edginess, he turned to her. "I know you want revenge. It is difficult sometimes to sit back and let others take action. But the city is a dangerous wilderness, especially for those who do not know its rules. I think for now, it would be best to let the pack handle them."
Finally, he looked at Nadezda, trying not to seem too amused. "I'm sure they could use an extra set of claws if you're willing to risk yours." There was no pressure behind the suggestion. After all, it wasn't up to him, but up to Vasara if he felt he needed more muscle. But she could argue later. He had said all that needed to be said. He took a step back from the table and removed the tin with the silver bullet in it. "Friends," he said. "I think we have said enough. Now is the time to honour our fallen. This evening we will howl Kaleb's dirge, and drink to his memory. Remember him at the rising of the new moon, as the original Berliner. He was born here, he lived here, and he died here. We honour him most by holding the city against all odds, by fighting to keep it from falling to the Wyrm once more, by standing fast in Berlin's darkest hour."
With that Danny shifted to his Lupus form, a hulking black wolf with an odd lopsided eyepatch. "Now, Umbra," he growled. Some things just sounded better in the Spirit World. He stepped sideways, and waited for the others to follow before he led the group in the gathering for their fallen comrade.

"We all have something to do." Vasara looks at the Pack and then at Kasiya and Danny "We need to perform Anna's Rite of Passage, no need to delay it any further." At least it would be one thing less on their mind "After that tomorrow, we go and find Jan. Keeping low profile, naturally." Vasara couldn't help himself taking a look at Saxon. They had some experience on 'low profile' ending up as something completely different.
One more look at Nadezhda "Fenrir, eh? That's enough information to me. You're ok then." and Vasara stood up giving an approving nod to Kamut. He would come with the Pack.
Vasara shifted into big, grey wolf at Danny's words and not waiting others to say much more, he started to force himself through the Gauntlet. It could be rude, but even though Vasara had developed his spiritual side, he could still take long time to get through and he hated it when other's had to wait for him.

Middle Born would be a liar if she did not want revenge, but she also understood that she was not best placed for such a mission, it would be folly to go perhaps at this point.
Still she wondered why the crow had stayed her with her and not directed her elsewhere, perhaps he had another path for her in the City. For now she would honour the dead as was right, for that was what they all must do so that they might return to Gaia and be reborn.
She too shifted to the beautiful black wolf, with a fine coat and breeding of heroes…even if she was not one. Middle Born shook herself and made her self ready to pass though once those of higher rank had for that was appropriate.

Well dammit, not only did she need bat ears she should also have packed her Fenrir suit too GRRRRRR and all that, but it was at the dry cleaners…
Caitlin was more than a little amused as the private talk reference, how many times had she had that little ‘chat’ and how many times had she smiled sweetly and nodded. It was likely to do with manners…hell she used Rhya. She nodded to Danny though and would do what was right.
The Fianna would take advice in dealing with the Ratkin, she was no fool she would take it, and use it, however Caitlin was not one to cow tow and though she could hold her tongue if it was necessary, but sometimes it did take someone who would stand their ground to get a good deal. However that was a matter for another time.
For now they would sing for the dead, and there was many, Caitlin would take that time to remember those in her pack that had passed on. She shifted to her lupus form then, a fine red wolf with long legs and proud features. The burns were more visible without clothing, as were the various other scars she wore…she was no cub that much was apparent.
She too waited to step through but then she would sing as she had many times before …
She indeed spent a little of her power that she might do the taskeasily and with embaressement...after all she was a Fianna from an ancient line and the little bastard would have more fule for his fire.

Anna listened to Danny's words, staring at Kaleb's picture over the fireplace. It was hard to think of Kaleb without smiling. He was just that kind of guy who infected everyone with a careless cheerfulness. But Anna didn't shift immediately. In her Lupus form, the scars she carried from her time in captivity were more apparent, and she didn't want everyone seeing. It would be darker in the Umbra. So instead, she placed a homid hand on her Alpha's shoulder and led him effortlessly across the gauntlet.
Once there, she shifted to her own wolf form. In Lupus her fur was a pure white, and although she didn't know it, bore the signs nobility that only years of inbreeding could produce.
