Erik gives a shrug after Hands of Mercy refuses his help to his feet.
"Righteo, then, y'grumpy cunt." He syas, then turns to Vasara, "Kid fought well, he's a wicked shot. Dunno how much of it you saw."
Yes, he'd won the day, but the arrow in his back was still rather painful. Which reminded him...
"I believe this belongs to you?" He says with a grunt, as he pulls the arrow from his wound, "You want it back, or should I keep it as a souvenir?"
He points the bloodied tip of the arrow at the skald, offering it to him.

The metis nods mutely to Vasara, and turns to retrieve his fallen bow as the other speaks. He turns back to face Erik, simply looking at him in silence for a long moment before something returns to his eyes, and an uncertain smile appears on his lips. He reaches to take the arrow and replies very quietly "Yeah, you fought well. I'll see if I can find something more deserving to stick this in."

"I didn't see much, I was distracted by the squirrels." Vasara said ironically "But it looks like Hands-of-Mercy nailed you well before you strangled him into submission." he continued by far more serious tone.
"So, anyone in for a beer or do you want to head back at the caern? At least that way we will avoid after-Challenge group-hugs." Vasara laughed.

While the skald's 'more deserving' comment could be taken as a compliment or as an insult, Erik doesn't pick-up on it.
"I could use a drink," He says, addressing both Fenrir, "Buuut, that can wait 'til tonight, I guess."
He nods his head in the direction of the Caern.
"Should probably head back to Cloud-Dancer," He says, barely resisting the urge to call her 'Cloudy', "Think she was about to fill us in on what's happening around the place... 'fore we got sidetracked and all."
He flashes a half-smile at Hands, as he shifts back to his breed form.

Hands of Mercy turns back to finally pick up his bow and eases the string off before devoting a few moments to cleaning off the dirt it had acquired when it fell from his grasp. Not sure what to make of Vasara's comment about group hugs he lets it pass. He hasn't yet met any Children of Gaia at the Sept. Then another thought crossed his mind which he does voice, still speaking very quietly. "There isn't any alcohol at the Caern?"

Danny made his way through the Umbral forest towards the Ash tree, along with Kasiya. Both Striders moved quietly, and remained unnoticed for the time being. He spotted Vasara with the two strangers, and stopped suspiciously for two seconds. He couldn't sense any taint. He needn't have worried, but it never hurt to be extra careful.
"Two new Garou," he said quietly to Kasiya. "We grow stronger every day."
He shifted to his homid form and approached the three of them.

Kasiya whuffs agreement gently, but follows it up with a slight trepidaton:
"I can smell Blood"
Remaining in his breed form, Kasiya pads alongside Danny, still careful, but then those who couldn't fight always had to be ready to run.
He sniffs at the air, trying to make out scents other than fresh blood, sweat and pheromones.
((Sense Wyrm, even though I know the answer.))

Vasara scratched his unshaven jaw "I think there might be some, we used to stash some to make special cocktails for vampires some time ago."
The two Striders caught Vasara by surprise. He really didn't think there would be anyone else around, that was the reason for him to bring the challengers here. "Hi boss." he said to Danny, nodding slightly "Nice day for a little walk?"
There had to be reason why eldest of the local garou was walking around places like these with packless theurge, but Vasara was not sure should he ask about the reasons straight away on front of two newcomers.

Erik watches the pair as they approach, giving them both a nod in greeting, fighting the urge to direct an "Ahoy, matey" at the long-haired homid. The Fostern had referred to him as 'boss', after all, and Erik had learnt that not all of his superiors here in Berlin appreciated his wit.
"Hey there," He says, giving a slight wave with his right hand, "Name's Erik."
Meanwhile, his left hand is pressed firmly against the bloody arrow-wound on his back. Not only had Hands of Mercy's arrow ruined a perfectly good t-shirt, but the damned wound was refusing to close. Typical.

Hands of Mercy turns to regard the two new Garou approaching, pausing with his hand near the loose end of the bow string for a moment before Vasara's reaction confirms to him that these two are no threat and his hands continue to rub the dirt from the fetish bow. Boss. That would imply this is the Silent Strider alpha of the Caern, presumably, as Vasara introduced himself as the alpha of his pack. Hands of Mercy bow his head to the Garou and follows Erik's lead, though a little more formally.
"Sorrow's Hail, Hands of Mercy. You are Walks-With-Death-rhya?"

"I heard there was something going on out here," Danny said, although he didn't say exactly what he'd heard and who he'd heard it from.
"I am indeed Walks-with-Death," he said. "And this is my tribemate, Kasiya Treads-the-Darkest-Path. I am intrigued. What brings you lads to Berlin, and..." he looked at Vasara. "I see the pack got back in one piece. We need to talk about what you found."

Kasiya whuffs aknowlegement as he's introduced, glad to be spared formality, and begins a comprehensive sniffing of Erik. Seeing as Hands of Mercy had engaged Danny in conversation he'd leave them to it, but moreso, the scent of blood was stronger on Erik and instinct stronger than thought draws him.
Approaching Erik openly, he makes circuits of him, sniffing up and down his legs, his boots, and stretches his neck to reach the bleeding wound in Erik's back. The act paints a picture for the Lupus.
Flanked.
That thought sums it all up for Kasiya, though he'd quiz the Glade Child later and find out exactly what had happened.

"Yeah, the Pack is back. Nasty bug, a really big one. Hard skinned too, it will be a day of great Glory when we whack that bug. And it has lot's of friends too." Vasara said. "I think others have more details than I do, I kind of accidently managed to put myself into position of bait there." he grinned.
"It has some powers of illusions, and maybe the worst is that it kind of turns the ground under you into quicksand. It's hard to fight on surface that is so unstable, we need to find a way to get past that. And besides, it has a horde of Banes around it. Bane itself is slow and easily outmaneuvered, but I am worried about all those Skrags and some kind of crazy hounds that it has hanging around. If they slow us down, we will be in serious trouble not only on killing the Prey, but also on surviving."
Vasara deliberately left the details out why the three of them were here. He felt it really wasn't anyone elses business unless the actual participants of the challenge wanted to let others know why they were here. Challenge was over, after all, and so the issue was settled.

Erik's eyes are fixed on Kasiya as the lupus circles him. He doesn't seem at all bothered by his actions, but as the Strider stretches to sniff his wound, he frowns a little, his body language giving-off a 'you bite me, I bite you' vibe.
Vasara's mention of a Wyrm-beasty soon grabs his attention, however, and he looks over to the Fostern.
"If you had've said you'd just come back from fightin' some big, fuck-off bug," He begins, "I would've come back out there with ya, rather than play hide-and-seek with Hands, here."
He flashes a smile to both Fenrir, before turning to Danny.
"I dunno about the rest of 'em," He says, motioning to the other Garou in attendence, "But I came to Berlin to rip-off the Wyrm's head, take a shit down its throat, then go home and fuck its sister."
He looks back at the others, an 'am I right, or am I right?' look on his face. His choice of words may not've been the best, but you had to admire his... enthusiasm?
Looking back at Danny, he continues.
"So, when're we heading out?"

Hands of Mercy gives Erik a long look, wondering at the Homid's capacity for making anything, even holy war, sound obscene. Once the Silver Fang was done, he responded to the Athro's question in his own manner.
"I hail from the Sept of the Blood Fist. The Sept Alpha believed that you could benefit from the attendance of further warriors, and that I could learn from the experience of a human dominated environment." There is a brief pause. "Further, the Eldest Theurge of the Sept believes I have some particular part to play here." He leaves out mentioning how the Alpha saw sending him to Berlin as a death sentence. He was not about to start speaking ill of his elders, nor risk insulting the Alpha of this Sept.
