Danny nodded, and as she trotted away he took off again, flying towards the Caern.

Sparrow walked confidently, leading Yvonne through where she thought the others had gone. They arrived at the wall shortly, and Sparrow stopped.
"They crossed here," she said. "Look, you can see the marks where they clawed their way when they couldn't jump. We should cross too." She paused, and waited for Yvonne to go first. Then she sprang up to the top of the wall and looked down.

"It's going to get more dangerous from here, that side of the wall isn't ours." She concentrates for a second, reaching for the ancient dire wolf and changing to Hispo form, before leaping up to the wall and looking around for any sign of trouble. "If you keep your nose to the ground, I'll keep watch for any danger."

Sparrow gave her a look that meant she agreed, and jumped off the wall to the other side. "The Wyrm has eyes and ears everywhere," she said, half to herself. She sniffed around a bit, and then started down the main street, heading towards the Botanic Gardens. Of course, since neither of them had any clue what the Botanic Gardens were, let's just say she was heading roughly North-East.
Yvonne keeps her senses alert for any immediate danger, but as it is, they are not threatened. However, the taint of the Wyrm gets thicker the further they go. It obviously has a very strong presence here.

Yvonne jumps down from the wall and follows along a few steps behind, to keep the number of scents Sparrow has to contend with to a minimum. She continues following along, looking around constantly on alert, until Sparrow finds something.

Sparrow kept going, stopping occasionally when she thought she had lost the scent. But she usually found it again and on the whole, they were moving moderately fast.
Then, suddenly, she stopped. Yvonne, who (I assume) was still sniffing for taint, felt so overwhelmed with it she almost got sick. Sparrow nudged her: "Look at that," she said, as quietly as she could. She sounded stricken. The building she had indicated was not old enough to have its own umbral representation, but it was starting to. Since neither of them knew the city, they had no idea what sort of a structure it was. But on this side of the gauntlet, it was crawling with banes.

Yvonne flinches back at the taint, then stops to look around for a second for any other threats, before focusing on the banes watching for any hostility (more so than banes normally excude, anyway). "They can't of continued this way, can they? Did they turn off?"

]The banes don't seem overly hostile. In fact, they don't seem to have noticed the two Garou yet. Sparrow shrank back. "No, they wouldn't have been able to pass unnoticed," she said. "But then where did they go..."
She paced back and forth irritably. "Not unless... no, none of the ones we met could fly."

"They must of gone back to the physical world. I'll look to see if the coast is clear." Yvonne looks around a moment to find something reflective to aid her attempts but, whether she does or not, she tries to look for a line through the weavers webs to see the other side of the gauntlet.

It is difficult at first, but Yvonne finally manages to push her senses through the gauntlet. In the physical world, this is a main road. There are a few shops on both sides, but none of them look very fancy. The bane-ridden place is a restaurant. There's a number of people in the restaurant, not to mention a good number on the street. This is probably not the best place to step sideways.
"We should move, before they see us," Sparrow says once Yvonne is done.

Yvonne looks up at Sparrow. "There are too many people around there. We need to find somewhere secluded to step across. Even then, if they did cross over, I'm not sure how we could track them."

"We couldn't run as wolves among men," Sparrow said. Then suddenly she stopped and cocked her head slightly to the side.
"Do you hear that?" she said. "We are being followed. Be ready to fight..."
And with that she shifted to her dire wolf form.

"No, probably not." Yvonne turns around in the direction Sparrow indicates and lowers into a crouch, ready to pounce. One advantage of never having got in a fight before her change - there were no human fighting habits to drop.

The reddish-brown wolf that approached them was also in Hispo. She wasn't especially large in this form, however, and was obviously no match for the two of them. She didn't look at all familiar, and with the overwhelming wyrmtaint in the area, Yvonne found it impossible to tell if she was the enemy.
Sparrow growled low, her hackles raised, ready to attack. One didn't expect to run into many Gaians this side of the wall, so Sparrow expected the worst.

Yvonne tenses, ready to spring, a low growl rising in her throat. She spares a moment for words though... "So who's side are you on?"
