Blake's becoming more and more interested in this puzzle.
"Hmmm, well... I suppose I can go to the Public records department and find out who is listed as the owner of the property... I wouldn't want to cause you Any trouble Ms. Schweiger. It's kind of an odd thing not to want ownership of a property to be known... particularly when it'll be a matter of public record... very odd.
Blake looks uncertainly at Ms. Schweiger (hoping she may volunteer the information).

Mrs. Schweiger's tone becomes increasingly impatient.
"It would be, under normal cirumstances. Unless the owner has a reason to keep it private. Which, apparently he does."
She looks at him questioningly, waiting to see if he had something else to say.[/color]

Blake stands up and offers his hand to Ms. Schweiger.
"As I said, I wouldn't want to cause you any trouble Ms. Schweiger, and you've been most generous with your time. Thank you"
Blake looks to Anna as he turns to leave.

"I am sorry I couldn't be more helpful, Mr. Richter, but this is out of my hands."
Mrs. Schweiger seemed to be getting ready to leave herself, because she picked up her coat as she ushered them out of the office.

Anna waited until they were out of earshot.
"Are we going to just give up?" she asked Blake. "Is that true, can she really not tell us, or is there something fishy about all this?"
Somehow this didn't seem right. Anna wasn't sure it was illegal, but it didn't sound right either.

Blake smiles reassuringly at Ms. Schweiger.
"Of course, of course, I understand completely Ms Schweiger. Please, have a pleasant day."
As they leave Ms. Schweiger's hearing, Blake responds to Anna's concerns.
"No, we are not giving up... just changing tactics and coming at it from another angle... and yes, something is fishy here... the ownership of the property should be a matter of public record and available to anyone who cares to check. Most times if you want to hide the ownership, you hide it with multiple dummy companies and subsidiaries..."
Blake thinks for a moment and then looks at Anna.
"Know anyone good with computers?"
Blake grins mischievously.

Anna couldn't help grin too. "Not really... but I don't think a Realtor's office would have the most sophisticated of security systems. Why, what do you have in mind?"

Blake continues to grin.
"Well, I'm thinking that it seems all the information we want, is on some computer somewhere... if the district assessor's office can't tell us what we want, we may have to find someone who can obtain the information for us."
"lets head over to the assessor's office for land and titles first though."

Anna nodded. She didn't exactly know where that was, which was why she had led him here in the first place. But she was sure they wouldn't have a hard time finding it.
"Maybe one of the guys know how to handle computers," she said, without much conviction. It didn't look like Micah or Danny could handle telephones, let alone computers. She didn't know about the other two, but she didn't exactly think they were the type either. "Maybe one of the non-Garou..."
What did Blake call them earlier...
"The kin?"

Blake walks over to a public phone and picks up the directory... flippy through the pages he looks for the City government listings, In order to find the address for the Public assessors office (Probably in the courthouse).
As soon as he can find it, he'll call for there hours, and if open, they'll head there.
