Not finding a damn thing deliliah kicks at the ground and then looks about. Hmm, now what? She looks back at her hummer and then heads back to it, shoulders slumped. Defeated at not finding a damn thing.

As Warren steps out of the hummer, his cell phone rings. He recognises the number as belonging to Ralph, one of the guys down at the station.[/color]

"Where have you been? I have been calling you for the past hour!" Ralph's voice crackles over the phone, sounding concerned. "I thought this might interest. The guys brought in a thug on a drunk and disorderly charge last night. Says he swears he was attacked by a wolfman right in the middle of the city. It's crazy talk as far as anyone down here is concerned, but I'd thought I'd tell you. If there is some truth to this, you'd be the one to know."

Olga saw the hummer go at full speed, almost taking her out of the way but she managed to move fast enough (and the driver had good reflexes too).
"Uff!, That is why momy always told me to be careful when crossing the streets... There are so many lunatics out there... That is why we have to be always aware of the bad people, Olaf... Olaf? Olaf? Where are you? OLAF!!!"
The small girl stood up in a moment and began looking for her Teddy. A small blood tear was moving on her eye, sign that she was up to cry.
"Olaf? Oh! There you are! I thought you were leaving me." The shaggy bear was on the middle of the street. She took it with care and pet it for a moment. Then she began spanking the bear with all the malevolence of a sadistic master. "You were mean, Olaf, you should not leave me! Who would take care of you? You are so small and fragil, you are no inocent and pure... you need a valiant mother as me! A mother that will never hurt you and will never leav you alone." The spanks were so hard that the bear fell to the ground again. In her punishing anger, Olga kicked the bear. Unfortunately, the bear landed next to an open sewer cage and fell inside.
"Ups!" A giggle, and she ran to the open hole to the sewer.

It is a little before midnight and the park is almost completely dark except for the pale light that of a waxing crescent moon. Suddenly, and out of nowhere, three large dogs appear in the park. At least they seem to be dogs at first glance. A closer look might reveal that one of them looks more like a scrawny reddish-brown wolf, and the other two look more like jackals than anything. The larger of the two jackal-like wolves sniffs around quickly, making sure they were alone. Then, before either of the others can catch their breath, Danny growls. "I'm sorry I put you through that." he says mostly to Kaleb. "When I saw it before it was mostly hoglings... But you had to know," he turns to Lorelei now, "You have to see for yourself, to know what we're up against. I could describe it for days and you still wouldn't understand until you saw it for yourself." The he checks himself and looks looks around. "Where's Warren." he asks.

kaleb looks at danny and shrugs. "No biggie he growls, now I know, and it turned out fine." He looks at lorelie quickly and then back to danny. "At least she is fine, and Warren appears to be as well." He stops and looks at Danny, "How long did you know they were there for about?" He growls to him.

Lorelei nods once. "Its better to learn hands-on..." she doesn't say much more and she shifts on all fours. She was seriously spooked, there was no denying it. Warren... "He disappeared when you told us to split, heading East, I think." She could try to be helpful...but she was starting to feel seriously shaky inside. She wanted to be at home...and packing. Her mother had obviously been lying to her about her life from the start so she couldn't wait to spit the truth at her and leave. Sniffing at the air she asks quietly "So those things stay...in...in the Umbra, right?"

The park is practically deserted at this time of night. Nobody notices the three wolves who appear out of nowhere and convene in the moonlight. The sky is clear and the moon overhead, a waxing crescent moon, sheds enough light for a wolf to see properly. As Kaleb catches a glimpse of the moon, he feels the Rage rush through him again. Lorelei too can feel a rush of excitement when she glances at it. Kaleb regains the 2 rage he spent.

Danny nods reassuringly. "Mostly, yes. Unless they possess someone in the physical world." he frowns, "Their type usually haunts more desolate places. They were not here by chance." He pauses, thinking this through. "Well, I'd just stay away from main street in the Umbra for now." he advises. "I was hoping we could investigate the place on this side." He stares up at the moon. "But it's late. We should probably get you home before someone notices you've disappeared."

Lorelei is listening, but she is unusually not watching Danny, her eyes on the moon. She nods a little and drags her eyes away from it..."I...Okay, staying away from the monsters I can do...Its late?" she gazes around herself. She had forgotten time was passing. "Yes...I have a few conversations to have with my mother." She shows her teeth in what could be a snigger. "Will I see you again?" He'd said he wandered a lot...he might just vanish into the night and she didn't know enough yet.

He wondered how late it was exactly.Damn he wished he would have dedicated his watch...he snickers a bit at this. He remembered when he was new to the ways of things, how many questions he had...Good thing there was Warren around at the time. "We gonna go back to your friends house, or I could try to catch up with Warren and crash at his." Kaleb asks Danny before he decides to go anywhere. Hell, he didnt mind if he crashed right here in the park, as long as there was good food around. Usually the trash cans in the park had the best food.

Danny answers Kaleb's question first. "You are welcome to stay at my kin's house for as long as I'm there. It would probably be better if we stick together. There is strength in numbers. If you could contact Warren too, just to make sure he's all right." Then he turns to Lorelei with a very sincere look on his face. "Don't worry. I would not leave you." The idea of leaving a cub of his tribe, or any tribe, before their rite of passage was unthinkable. "For now, be careful what you say to whom. There's still much I need to tell you. If you can meet me here in the park, tomorrow, in homid, I will tell you of critters and the Litany, and... well there's much to tell. I will also try to get one of those... fellytone things so you can get in touch with me easier. They're really practical. I'll give you my kin's address for now. But come on, let us not linger for more than we need to."
