This is the Umbral side of Berlin's main streets. It is lined with creepy looking buildings that are crawling with metallic looking snow white spiders spinning their webs.

Danny's run comes to a halt after around half an hour.
He stops across the street from a rather normal looking building and waits for the others to catch up. The building itself doesn't give off any immediate signs of danger, but there is definitely something unsettling about it.
"Be wary." he growls low. "And be quiet."

Lorelei comes to a halt, high spirited at the stamina. She was more exicted than she'd been in years and she was tempted to bounce and yelp like the pup she was, but the word from Danny made her silent. She gazed at the house...was it just a spooky house? She looked around her and wondered if she had ever noticed it long before.
The hair on her back begins to rise and she wonders whether this was this instinct thing or just suggestion... either way she was slightly apprehensive, and trod very delicately on her four legs...she couldn't get over having four legs.

Kaleb has no problems keeping quiet. He knows what this might be, the webs say it all. "What exactly do you plan to do?" He whispers to Danny, keeping it low and while he speaks he gazes around the umbral version of the buildings. Never know what might just be out there, especially if there are these webs hanging around on buildings...

"In the physical world it's just a human eating place." he answers, "I passed quite a few in my search for Kaleb. I couldn't place the taint at first. Then it occurred to me to get a look from the other side. The place is crawling with banes..."
With their keen wolf senses, the others can hear a mad rythmless clacking that for some reason makes their flesh crawl. Then it appears by the door. It looks like a large overgrown hound and its skin looks like it's made from thick serrated carapace.
"The Ooralath. And where there's one, there's usually others." he starts to back away. "Don't make any sudden movements."

Kaleb doesn't move, not at all. Hell, what the hell? is all he thinks. This was not going to be good. Maybe the ooralath might run away scared, 4 versus one for now. He so didnt have a chance. Especially with me around, he thinks in his head, laughing a bit at this.

Lorelei stares with something akin to deep revulsion, and something very close to horror. This was the part she wasn't looking forward to... if werewolves were real other things were too. She kept completely silent, and again mimicked Dannys reactions as exactly as she could. she didn't want to get this stuff wrong...and she didn't know anything about this. Watching Kaleb she was curious to his amusement, but still bent on obeying so she can't ask whats funny. Ooralath....sounded ugly, too.

looking up at the creature he slowly backs away. the fur on his back rising he trys not to growl. he looks at kaleb. what the hell was he thinking, just standing there......

The clacking sound stops and the creature looks right at them. It seems to have noticed them, but it still doesn't move. It just fixes them with a stare.

Danny keeps backing away slowly.
"Scatter. NOW!" he yips at Kaleb. "You stay with me..." he barks at Lorelei.
If they scattered they could confuse it. Banes aren't exactly masters of logic. Besides, they could outrun it easily in Lupus. The only problem was that there might be others. That was always the problem with the Ooralath.

he tears off around the corner at danny's word. he didnt like that thing and he wanted to get as far away from it as possible. buildings flash by and he soon puts many streets between it and him. he slowls down to a trot and looks around at where he is.

Kaleb watches Warren take off and heads in a totally opposite direction. Hell, he didnt want that thing following him, he knew what it was capable of doing. He looks back of his shoulders and just keeps on running away, but then something catches his eyes. Maybe it was something edible, or something new and shiny. He stops and looks at it.

Lorelei didn't need telling twice, and the speed the other two set off at was enough to make her absolutely certain she didn't want to be near the thing any longer than was necessary, and definitely not alone. She keeps herself close to Danny, though not close enough to touch...she was funny about her personal space sometimes. Wasn't any teen...but she wasn't about to head of on her own just yet. She wanted to know more before she skipped merrily off and ran into one of those things on her own.

Danny watches the others take off and hopes they have the sense to step across the gauntlet first chance they get. Hopefully the bane would come after him, if anyone.
Making sure the cub is following, he runs back up the street, heading away from the restaurant and the army of banes inside.
