Aleksi raised his eyebrow when Kaleb told him that Vasara and Kaleb were family. Could this kid be a werewolf? Aleksi shook hands again with him "Kaleb? You should see bouncers, when I got here there were few cops trying to get in waving a photo of a young man named Kaleb who was supposed to hang in here lot." After saying that Aleksi pressed green button and started the call. "So, if you're Vasaras 'family', there must be more in you that meets the eye, right?" he said as he raised the phone up against his ear.
He was shocked and raised his index finger in exitement... he heard normal ringing sound! "Wait, his phone is open again!"

Kaleb's eyes opened wide as he made mention of pigs in the bar. "Maybe it's some other kid, ya know I'm not the only Kaleb around these parts." Kaleb looked around the bar, slowly taking in the patrons, lowering his head to the bar after a quick scan.
"More then meets the eye? Well, look at me. I'm a strapping young pup." Kaleb snickered at the "pup" analogy and smiled when he made mention of the phone ringing. "Maybe we can take this call to go? Ya know family stuff to do." Kaleb ran a hand through his hair quick and glanced up at Aleksi

Aleksi was forced to smile when he saw Kalebs reaction on mention of cops. Even if he didn't have much love for criminals, if this kid was Vasara's family it had to mean he was part of that other family Aleksi never could be part of. A expressions of both sadness and even anger crossed his face as he grabbed with his free hand his luggages, other hand holding the phone next to his ear.
"Sure, let's go. Umm, where are going?" Aleksi stood up and stretched his back causing several loud cracks as his joints prepared to get going again. Damn, why wasn't Vasara answering the phone? Impatiently he tossed the still-ringing phone to Kaleb "If you are part of Vasara's 'other' family..." Aleksi made a meaning look at Kaleb "...then I guess your business is more urgent than mine. You talk to him."
The big man looked a bit sad before smiling again widely and continued "So, what kind of trouble brews within your society? Do you need my help?"

Kaleb caught the phone and waited for Vasara to pick up if he would that was. Making his way to the backside of the bar, he glanced around hoping that they'd have little to no problems with anyone in the place. "Yeah, family. Well we're headed back to the home. And if you can fight, then yeah, we could sure use your help."
"As for the trouble, don't know. Danny, you'll meet him later told me to get vasara..there are a few people, not family related that seem to be breaking our laws." Kaleb kept walking, listening to the phone ring. Gving up on it after a few seconds, he shrugged. "Seems like you and me will have to save the day." Kaleb pushed the back door to the bar open and stepped out into the streets.

Before Kaleb left the bar, Aleksi said to him "I will help you even if my brother can't." with a grim voice. "Wait for me for a five minutes, I need to get ready here." Aleksi walks to the bathroom with his luggages and soon comes back, looking a bit heavier. He walked outside with Kaleb and there he opened his jacket and raised his shirt to show him the kevlar-vest and an military-issue pepperspray-can hanging on his belt-holster. He smiled to Kaleb and said with low and silent voice "I am very honored to be chosen to fight side by side with your... kind."
He opened the luggage, showing Kaleb a good set of old fashioned carpenters tools packed inside with few clothes protected with plastic bags. Then he opened a bit the fake bottom to reveal handle of a sawed-off shotgun that he had covered and surrouded by more tools to fool the customs office.
He put a small hand axe from his luggages inside his jacket and said "I guess I can't get any more ready than I am now." There was a whole new kind of light in Aleksi's face, he had waited for so long to get a change to prove his worth to werewolves, and now was his chance.
"In case I will die before seeing Vasara here... I want you to tell Vasara that he can go fu... umm... that he really should try to act as a responsible, adult man acts." It was not very wise to tell garou to go fuck himself so Aleksi censored himself before he said anything that could cause trouble later to either him or Kaleb.

Kaleb beemed at Aleksi's words. Not everyday did someone feel honored to fight with him, this guy was alright.
"Nice tools you got there. You're alright, man. Just stick with me and we'll both make it out just fine. You can tell him what you want after that." Kaleb boasted, taking a few steps down the alleyway.
"Right, short story of the long version. We got a pack, a caern and apparently the shit's gone up the creek so to speak. Other then that not much to tell." Kaleb hastened out of the alleyway and stopped. "You got a ride? Would be much easier and faster." Kaleb waited.

"No, I don't have a vehicle, Vasara was supposed to take care of those things." Aleksi looked at Kaleb "...but if you can call a cab in this city we can get closer to our destination and walk rest of the way. I can even pay it if you don't have your wallet with you?" Aleksi adjusted his jacket a bit more, the short-handled axe felt awkward there but now he just had to live with it.
"About this caern, I think I should ask you few questions concerning my shotgun... where is it, and would gunfire compromise its safety or endanger civilians?" He would never use a gun if there was a chance of hurting innocent bystanders.
He still thought about earlier Kaleb's words "...yes, I guess I will be alright..." he had seen in his past what angry pack of Fenrir could do in a fight and felt both secure and uneasy "...You are right, I feel safer now when I know there's war-wolves watching for my back..."

Call a cab? Hell, good luck with that idea. Kaleb looked down at his clothes. No way, was some cabbie gonna pick him up anytime soon.
"Yeah, maybe I'll leave that up to you. Somehow I just scream, ain't got no money." Kaleb snickered and pulled at his shirt. Kaleb snorted at the money thought, and shook his head. "Wallet? Whaddya need one of those for?" Making his way to the city streets, Kaleb held up his hand and waited for some sign that they would get a cab.
Kaleb listened to Aleksi's questions and shook his head no. "Look, guns are dangerous things, but what's coming is more then likely more dangerous then what you are toting around man." He waved his hand around patiently, and as a cab approached the pair, he turned his attention back to Aleksi. "Besides man, they are at the caern willingly and knowingly. I don't wanna see any of em hurt either, but they are no better off alone. Don't ya think?" Kaleb slide into the cab backseat and pointed to Aleksi.
"He'a paying." He tells the cab driver in german.

"Good to know that there is no need to play things quiet." Aleksi said with confident voice but still had doubt in his eyes. Was he really going to participate in a werewolf-fight, he thought and his brow started to sweat again. He needed something else to think on, and fast!
"You could need a wallet... maybe for paying the cab?" Aleksi laughed as he stepped in the taxi. He gave driver his fee in advance and added "Yeah, I'll pay, he'll tell the address where we are going. Get there fast enough and you'll get some extra..." Aleksi really tried not to look like an old pervert picking up younger street-people as he realized the creepiness in his words. "...ummm..." he almost added something to cover things up, but decided to keep his mouth shut... He buried his face in his hands and shook his head.
Then he straightened up and took again his poetry-book and started to read with shaky fingers to calm his nerves down.
"...Damn I could use a drink..."

Kaleb smiled as Aleksi agreed to pay. Hey if not, he could have walked and Kaleb would have taken the umbral way. Smart guy.
"Wallet's tie you to the world. It's a plot of the...well, never mind. But you know what I mean." Kaleb nodded his head in an all meaning way. "Look, step on it bud." Kaleb told the cabbie.
"As for your drink, I don't think the situation calls for it. Don't worry, I'll look after ya. We're family." Kaleb nodded, watching the cab increase in speed.

---many nights later---
Aleksi had dropped the young garou back at caern and after driving around aimlessly he found himself again at Ragnarok. He had been working straight for days to fix the damages of battle and reinforce the building for further trouble and he had decided to have a drink.
Even that bastard, Vasara, had been gone for a long time. Again. He always left when some real work was to be made. Aleksi could have used some aid in his work, but those garou were always so busy. Except his half-brother who had a habit of disappearing when some honest work was about to be made.
Aleksi walked in, greeting the bouncers with firm handshakes. "Seen Vasara lately?" he asked in accented German. The look in bouncers face told him all he needed to know. He shrugged his shoulders and walked at the table where he had met Kaleb some time ago for a first time. The kid was missing too, Aleksi thought and begun to worry. Even as he was a werewolf, his habit of smiling and fooling around, and very thin frame made Aleksi to doubt the kids ability to defend himself properly.
There was lots of people at the bar this night. He waited for the blocker to make her round, cleaning tables and picking up the empty glasses. "Nice evening, miss." Aleksi greeted her "Could you bring me a beer after you have made your round?" She was a fine-looking girl. Little moody and edgy at the times, but she needed to be. Not everyone could earn a living in a place like this. Aleksi's train of thought was interrupted by a brief fight breaking only a few tables from Aleksi's table. He watched the bouncers run to deal with the situation, one of them harshly grabbing one of the brawlers from hair and back of his jeans and hurling him outside before running back for encore, as long as there was anyone still making trouble.
He gave a thumb up for Dieter. Aleksi really hated violence himself, but he also knew that in harsh places, violence was a necessary evil. Better to be prepared and willing to fight than a victim of some random brawler. He turned his head and was going to keep on chatting with the girl, but she had already disappeared into the crowd.
Damn he thought and waited for the well-earned beer to appear in front of him.

A short while later the girl returned with some strong beer and placed it in front of Aleksi. "There was a large Russian man looking for Vasara earlier too," she said, once she'd made sure no one else was listening. "And a couple of men who were almost definitely cops. Is he in any kind of trouble?" She looked genuinely concerned, although whether it was for her job or her boss was anyone's guess.

"Cops and Russians? No clue about those." Aleksi took a good mouthful of beer and swallowed it, savoring the taste "I thought I could find him here as he's been on the road again for days. Don't worry. He's a big boy, he can take care of himself." Aleksi wasn't so sure as his voice might have indicated. Vasara had left to find a lost wolf days ago, he should have already came back. "Nothing to worry about, he's working on simple situation. It just takes time..."
Was there a reason for him to get worried? Should he do something? What could he do, he was only a kin? Thoughts ran through Aleksi's head. He needed a plan for a situations like these... and one was already forming in his mind as he finished his beer.
"Shot of vodka, please."

---hours later---
Vasara walked inside his bar, looking tired and many years older. He shook hands with with Dieter as he entered. It was good to give respect to those working for you. The music was loud and he heard few men singing a familiar tune, althought only one knew the words, other's just howled along. He smiled when he saw Aleksi, drunk as hell, singing drinking-songs with group of bikers. He had already forgotten what Aleksi looked like happy.
Vasara walked to counter and ordered a bottle of Finlandia Vodka, some greasy food and few beers to himself and everyone sitting in Aleksi's table. He grabbed the bottle himself and slowly walked closer to table, making sure Aleksi saw him before he joined him.
"Got room for a tired biker, boys?" he asked, with a wolfish grin on his face.

"Aye, you bastard! Where 'ave you been?" Aleksi shouted, one eye closed to stay focused "I've been looking fer ya! Where's that smiling kid? Booze for the smiling kid!"
Aleksi's plan had worked, the alcohol had dulled the feeling of being useless kin, and he knew Tony was a hard case, obviously he had been worried for nothing.
Then the day was ruined.
He looked at Vasara's darkened face as he mentioned Kaleb. That look didn't need no explanation. Something had happened. Something bad. The laughter died on his face. He looked Vasara open the vodka and drinking straight from bottle. Hadn't Vasara quit drinking when he lost his eye? What the hell had happened to him here? There was no joy on him anymore.
