Edward zoomd up along the curb near the crime scene in his inconspicuos platinum BMW. He does a quick survey of the scene, students still going around campus, cops and crime scene tape in several areas. What he was looking for was the head honcho on duty or someone to lead him to them. He grabs the required paperwork, stuffes it into his Armani suit pocket. Exits the vehicle and sets the car alarm with an annoying beep beep. He sets off towards the nearest policeman / detective, with purpose and a cocky smile. Once he reaches an officer he says ' Greetings officer, I am Edward Rockerfella, Im hear on the universities behalf to check the crime scene, legal matters you see. Here' s the paperwork.' Now with the biggest grin you have ever seen and confidence he say 'Now if you will show me to the scene of the crime.'With that he follows the policeman to the heart of his curiosity from this mornings news.

The cop didn't look at all surprised to see the young lawyer. He glanced apprehensively at the car, probably wishing he good afford something like that, and then nodded. He was too tired for introductions so he got right to the point.
"Yeah, I was told you were coming. Set up one of our CSI's to show you around. Just don't touch anything."
He led Edward over to a young man with a toolbox.
"This is Karl, Karl this is Edward Rockerfella, the lawyer I told you about. Make it quick, we've got work to do." With that Edward was left standing at the entrance with Karl. He was, at least, a lot friendlier than the Officer.
"Step right this way, Mr. Rockerfella. Please walk behind me, the scene is still under investigation and we don't want to disturb the evidence."

Edward thanked the officer with the cheesiest of smiles, as only a lawyer can give, after all they were Edwards specialty!
He then shook Karl's hand with a firm handshake..after all you can tell quite a lot from a persons handshake!
'Hi Karl nice to meet you. Lets get over to this crime scene, I ve got a 3 o'clock appointment. So I only have a few hours. After you...' At which point he follows Karl, continuing banter if it happens to ensue, through the university buildings passing staff and other police officers of various departments. Other CSI staff and officers keeping snoops out.
He eventually arrives at the laboratory, the scene of the murder from the news. Edward is inwardly jumping inside with anticipation, his curious streak would soon be sated!
The door to the laboratory is swung open by Karl. Edward puts on what ever protective clothing (slip on plastic shoe covers etc) After all he must follow protocol!
And into the laboratory he steps.....

Suited up, Karl led the way into the lab.
The whole place was a mess. It was as if a hurricane had passed through the laboratoty, leaving bloodstains and claw marks in its wake. The bodies themselves had been moved, but there were three outlines that suggested three victims. (Note: Body outlines in crime scenes only exist in crappy crime films and rpg's)
Karl led him further in until they got to a small room. It was furnished like a child's bedroom. It had a colourful bed, a small table with a few chairs in the centre, and even a wardrobe. But right now the bed was broken, the walls were splattered with blood, and the door was torn off its hinges. Karl stopped and let Edward take it all in.

Edward takes out his notebook and takes notes, looking high and low, noting down what appears to be clear spots of where some bodies must have previously lain.
He asked Karl a few question in rapid succession ' Ok Karl heres a few questions for ya..1. Do you have the identities of the dead people? 2. Who was the subject in this bedroom? 3. Any files/footage relating to this incident are hereby confiscated as evidence and property of the university? 4. Has anyone else been on the scene not cleared? If so i need there names for witnesses and cross examination?... Well first things first wheres the tapes?'
With that he waits for Karl to regain his composure and answer his questions and hopefully produce the tapes....

Karl paused, processing all the questions, and then looked down at his own notes.
"Four dead, one's Professor Brunner, he was found up in the gardens though, for some reason. The ones in the hall were two of his PhD students," he scanned the notes for particular names. "Johannes Kopp and Michael Wetzel. The fourth is an assistant professor, Sonja Giese. The one survivor is a HiWi student, she's in a coma last I heard. As for the subject in the bedroom..." Karl scratched his chin in thought. "Well you'd know more than I do. It seems not a lot of people knew about this research topic. The university's given us reports, but I'm not in charge of those. You'd be better off just asking your people though. And the surveillance tapes have been taken to the crime lab. Apart from that, I have no idea what happened to them."
He shrugged and looked up at the lawyer. He sure asked a lot of questions, but Karl supposed that was his job.

Edward..silently cursed in his own head! He scrambled down the name sof the victims and a note as to who this mysterious subject was. 'Thanks Karl! Have you got a card I can contact you on. You may be called upon later in the course of a trial if that occurs. Also do you have the number of the people in charge of delivering the evidence? Here's my card if you get into trouble give me a call!'
With that he called the judicial office for a requisition request and silence order on this particular case. Once that was done he called the police department and asked for the head of the crime lab and informed him of the situation. That was that he would be there in 30 minutes to collect the tapes and they had better be there or the Chief Justice will be not pleased.
He then proceeded to leave the laboratory and go back to his BMW. Once out of the room he got rid of the crime scene gear and brushed himself off. Off he waltzed back to his car.....

As Edward pulled out of the driveway, the streets had already started to clear. The only cops who were still on the scene were busily handling evidence, so no one else noticed the two people who appeared in the gardens, as if out of nowhere. But Edward did. In his rearview mirror, he could have sworn they just appeared there: a young man with long blond hair, and a young girl in her late teens.

As Edward sees these two individuals appear out of nowhere in the bushes, he does a deft little u-turn and parks on the other side of the street.
He whips out his trust Nikon SLR camera with the bazooka zoom lens, zooms in on the two individuals, takes a few snaps for his boys to follow up later. Then heads off to his office to pick up the legal documents for the requisition of evidence from the police.
He flies out of the university district like a bat out of hell. Ever the attention seeker!
