Danny stepped sideways, followed by Sakura and Adiyah. The building's Umbral representation looked very different from its physical counterpart. In places it looked like a different structure completely, giving the impression that whatever had been rebuilt was fairly new, but whatever was leftover here was much much older.
"Owl's brood," Danny said, answering the question Sakura had asked on the other side. "And ancient Bears."
He looked at the fox-changer. Interest showed at least some understanding. She was probably more familiar with the realm of spirits than the average garou here.
"A long time ago, Mother Bear and her children were charged as the guardians of the spiritual places around here. Of course, a lot has changed since then. When we lost our Caerns the bears fell into a long sleep. When we reclaimed it, we asked their forgiveness for losing the sacred places, and asked them to return."
He had walked out to the front entrance of the Caern as he was speaking. Now he shifted to his wolf form and waited for the others to join him.

Adiyah listened to the tale, both out of interest for a good history lesson and because it prepared her with some basic knowledge of what and whom she was to speak and attend to.
She noted the area, she had yet to be used to this place on the umbral side and, well best to know your surroundings. She saw Danny shift and followed suit, her tawny brown wolf form hitting the ground with all four paws.
"Very good to hear they are returning." She remarked quietly.

Here in the Umbra...And away from the rest, Sakura decided to tell Danny more.he was the groups leader and as such should know. "I am here chasing a fox spirit...one I think is in need of help." She glanced about the umbral room as she licked her lips. "I am thinking my mission here maybe related to your troubles. Inari seems to be implying that since I have found my path to you. Or perhaps my presence is a means of showing that the time for past deeds needs to be set aside. Given the number of 'Fera' about."
Shrugging she looked back up at Danny" What do you know of my kind?" An abrupt change in topic but she was never one to follow a path straight. And for some reason she suddenly felt Danny should know more, if only to utilize her abilities better.

"I'll admit I know very little," Danny said. "Only what I have heard in stories. I know we are different. But in essence we are the same. I have no doubt that you were sent here for a reason. If our paths were meant to cross, then your mission may well be related to our troubles. The spirits know what they are doing. Bear, Owl, Fox... and even Rat. We all fight the same war."
If only everyone could it that way. The rats for one were stubborn on that point.
Once they had joined him in their four-legged forms, he started leading the way towards the west. It wasn't a long run, and they were still well within sight of the Caern and its protection when Danny stopped.
"It's here," he said quietly. There near the stump of a tree lay a sleeping child. An strong sense of emotion overwhelmed both Adiyah and Sakura as they approached. All the grief they had experienced in their lives seemed to rush back to them. Danny looked equally pained, and he seemed reluctant to approach the sleeping figure.

She had been watching the scenery and the two near her as they walked. Her fur ruffled and her nostrils flared as they moved west. Adiyah always felt a bit uncomfortable here when she wasn't fighting something. Even though she dealt and spoke with spirits regularly, being immersed in them and the fabric of this place was......an interesting sensation, especially when one's own senses were heightened.
Adiyah saw the child and took a step or two forward towards the tree stump. Then she stopped and winced. Pain grief, sorrow, all surrounded this 'child'. She was glad she was not in birthform, or she might of sobbed or fallen in the infinite sadness.
"Sweet gaia........." She breathed, just at a whisper, and looked to Danny and the other woman.
