Vasara shifted back into his human form and looked at the new recruits for the Pack. "Dead members have been mourned and losses replaced. We have been tested and we are ready. This is our Pack." It had been a long time since Pack was on full it's strength, maybe this lineup could last longer alive than previous one. At least they seemed to be more grimmer, more tougher than before, but Vasara was not so sure would it be enough.

"You have always chosen well," Danny said. "Now it falls to Tapio, the Bear King, to accept them too."
He took a few steps back and got ready to summon their Totem Spirit. He took his time, preparing for the Rite. It was no trivial task, to call upon such a great and powerful spirit. And even an experienced ritemaster like Danny could not afford to rush things. Kasiya stood a short way off, watching. It hadn't been so long ago that he too had summoned this pack's totem, although it was for a much grimmer purpose.
Danny grew into his warform and called upon the Bear King with a howl. Tapio, Avatar of Bear and guide of the Slagbroeder. Your children seek your counsel.
It had started to grow cold even before Danny had finished howling. But for a while, that was the only sign that his call had not gone unanswered. The chill made the younger Garou shiver. Even Saxon could feel his extremeties turn numb. Nadya and Vasara, who were used to the harsh northern winters, stood unshaken. Finally, Tapio approached. Vasara saw him first, and it was him that Bear approached rather than the ritemaster. He stopped by the pack's Alpha and blew on him with his icy breath. Now even Vasara had to shiver. Then Tapio spoke. His voice seemed to come from every direction, and at the same time, it seemed to be inside their heads. And his voice was kind and soft, and when he spoke to Vasara, it even seemed sad.
"There are scars that even I cannot heal, Judgment-from-the-Skies," said Tapio. "You have led this pack for a long time, and you and I will fight side by side for longer still."
Tapio turned his face towards Saxon and Anna, and blew on them too. Like Vasara, they felt the remainder of their wounds close up, although Anna's shoulder scar remained.
Then he turned to the two new pack members. "Tell me your names, bear-cubs."
(Oh, yeah. Saxon, Anna, and Vasara heal up to full health.)

Nadya stands confidently in front of the bear, though not disrespectfully. "Nadezhda." She has no more to say, she isn't going to try to sell herself.

Though Kamut is often wary of using it, amongst spirits he uses his deed-name in all things. Human names have no place amongst them, if there is a better alternative. "Shadow-stalker is the name I earned." He bows his head to the spirit, doing his best not to shiver in the cold.

After they gave their names, Bear's Avatar turned back to Vasara. It would be up to him to speak for them, like he had spoken for Saxon before, and convince Bear to take them as his cubs too.
"Have you found them worthy?" he asked.

Vasara looked one more time the new recruits and thought things over. Nadezhda and her unconventional (at least in garou way) fighting style would be invaluable. She just needed some smacking if she got out of line. Kamut, although he was a mule and ragabash, had shown heart and capacity. Both, if they lived long enough, could end up as a very high-skilled and renowned garou and it was good to have them around.
"Yes. They have been weighted and found worthy." was all Vasara said to Bearking, nothing more needed to be said.

"With them your pack comes full circle," the Bear King said. "You run with all the phases of the moon by your side. As they grow into their roles, they will grow into better warriors."
Tapio's words gave away that he knew the two newcomers more than they thought. They had already fought with the pack, and the pack never fought without Bear at its side. He turned his large eyes towards Kamut, and Kamut got the feeling that they were staring right through him, reading his thoughts and judging his will.
"Shadow-Stalker, though no great warrior, you have stood your ground with the rest of my cubs. Remember who you are, remember what you do. Even a war pack is in need of a subtler touch, at times. There are many ways to win a war."
Then he turned to Nadya, and gave her a look that would have humbled even the proudest children of Fenris. "Daughter of Fenris, you fight with the fearlessness and ferocity of your tribe, and your lust for battle is matched only by that of my cubs. But there is more to Bear than blood and battle. There is wisdom, and there is balance. There is even kindness, and redemption. I hope you will learn that too someday."
He spoke to Anna next. "You walk the path of Fenris now, Bearcub. Your old life is behind you. Let this pack be your anchor."
To Saxon he said only two words: "Well done."
Finally, he stopped in front of Vasara. "This is your pack," he said. "You have chosen well. In the years we have fought together, you have never faltered, and you have never fallen. Teach them and guide them in the ways of Fenris and Bear."
"Now, rest. And when you awaken, you will start your journey together, as a pack. As Slagbröder, brothers in battle, and children of Bear."
And as the air grew colder still, the five new pack-mates fell into a deep and dreamless sleep like none they had ever experienced before. When they awoke, two hours later, they didn't feel stiff or uncomfortable, even though they had fallen asleep on the cold umbral ground. It was already past noon, and they felt fresh and awake, as if they had rested for a week. Although there was no sign of their Totem (or the two Striders for that matter), the lingering cold told them they were still being watched over.
OOC: Everyone is now at full health and Willpower.

Nadya starts and sits up sharply, falling asleep suddenly is rarely a good thing and she half-expects to be in some government lab. Or maybe she's just a bit paranoid. She stands and looks around at the others, more alert, more energetic than when she had fallen asleep. She doesn't really recognise it consciously, but it shows in her body language that she's eager to be off and do something. "Where does this journey begin then." She looks around for clues of where to go or a sign of the being watching over them.

"That was... interesting." Vasara mumbled as he got up. The sudden sleep got him completely off-guard. "You're free to do what you wish today. I'll go to library and try to figure out what to do next, you're free to join me anytime you want, but until evening you can take a break."
"Anna, a word with you." he said after dismissing others to do whatever they were going to do with their few free hours.

Anna had been sure that she'd need at least a month to recover from the past two days, but it seemed that this "nap" had been enough. She glanced over at the two new members of the pack, but there would be time to get to know them better later. She scrambled to her feet and joined Vasara.
"What is it?" she asked, feeling more cheerful and rested than she had in weeks.

Kamut offers Anna a distorted smile, then nods to Vasara. "I will spend some time in consideration of Tapio and what the future may hold for us. I am honoured to be with your pack, Judgement-from-the-Skies." With that, he shifts down to his patchy wolf form to speed his journey and heads towards the representation of the library in the spirit world.

Nadya made no effort to conceal her dissapointment that the journey would not be continuing immediately, so after giving a terse nod to Vasara she makes off in the same direction as Kamut. She isn't going to try to cross over until she's in the sparse gauntlet of the caern.(joining the others in the library)

Vasara watched others to leave before he spoke. "The cub-gloves are off now. You are a full member of the Pack and Tribe. If you think the way here has been harsh, trust me, it will get harder. As cliath, you are on the same line as most of us, and we can't have dead weight." Vasara looked at Anna menaciously.
"You must learn, and unfortunately there is not much time. We, as a pack, need a theurge, so take every chance you get to learn from others. Learn to heal, learn the rites and most of all, as a Fenris, learn to fight." Vasara took his old necklace that had hung from his neck for many years already. "When I completed my Rite of Passage, I got this from my elder to help me on my way. It is yours now. Don't lose it and always respect the Spirit within it. I don't tell you what it is or what it does, you must learn it by yourself." Vasara gave his necklace to cliath.
"Unless you already know these Rites, I will also teach you a Rite to ask forgiveness from the Spirits, a Rite to dedicate your non-fetish stuff to you so you won't lose your belongings when entering the umbra and a Rite to cleanse a place or person from the Taint of Wyrm." Vasara continued with a stern voice.
"Dismissed!"

Anna nodded, and tried not to flinch under that look. It was so reminiscent of the look the Valkyrie gave her, that Anna was half expecting him to take to the skies too. She felt especially honoured to be given the necklace. She had never seen Vasara without it, and although she wasn't sure of its power, she knew it wasn't something to be taken lightly.
"Thank you," she said. "I hope I will be worthy of it." She stared at it for a while before fastening it around her neck, vowing to always respect the spirit within. "The Valkyries have taught me the language of the spirits," she said. "I was hoping you would teach me to command the respect of Fenris in battle." She wondered if it was presumptuous for her to ask to learn the gifts of the true Fenrir. But she was part of the tribe now. Even the war wolf of Fenris had granted her that.

"Watch. Feel. Learn."
Vasara took a deep breath and opened himself to the spirit-energies inside him. He activated the Gift very slowly to make sure Anna would see and feel what he was doing, as words had little meaning on the ways and gifts of the spirits, he decided not to waste them here.
He slowly shifted his mood, pulling out some ancestral, primal aspects of his lineage as Fenris and he visualised the mighty Warwolf as vividly as he could. He let his consciousness to mingle with the image, and soon his whole being followed and he seemed to grow, radiating fearsome and commanding aura of respect.
"Think what you saw and felt. Then practice." Vasara said and left for the library, still radiating from the power of the Gift.
