"Wait, Russia? We are going to Russia?" Maria piped out, sounding more excited than she had in days. Russia was the mother country, the home of her tribe. She had learned to speak russian in honor of it. And now she got a chance to go there.
She did hold her excitement back, as she listened to her packmates speak first. She was the omega of the pack after all and the most inexperienced of them. " How are we going to travel there, thought? I hate to sound like a broken record, but people might still search for me for that murder, so I wouldn't like using anything public" Maria asked Danny.

"I don't know if even I would recognise you after those scars," Danny said. "But maybe a little more of a change in appearance will be helpful. Humans are easily fooled. No Sept will open a moon bridge without enough confirmation that is it safe, and all direct routes through the Umbra will take you deep into Spiral territory." He paused and looked at Maria. "And it would take too long," he added.
"I wouldn't think of leaving them alone either," he said to Adiyah. Not after what happened to Simon. "Not until we know how the Spirals are breaching the wall. I will have at least two Garou staying at Evie's while the two of you are away. It shouldn't take you long to get there and let them know about the Moon Bridge. You can then use it to return immediately." He looked at Max. "Once you've found Carsten, of course," he said.

Maria nodded at Danny. " Understood, I will try my best to disguise myself" she said and gave Danny a bow.
Maria then turned to look at her packmates, and bowed to them. " And if you can stand me make a fool out of myself with disguises, I will reward you with my knowledge in languages. I can speak russian fairly well, so communication with the local humans shouldn't be a problem" she said to them.

"You can? That's good." Yvonne grins, she's a little excited too, she'd spent her entire life in Germany. "I don't speak much of any other languages, no more than a few words of English that I wouldn't want to rely on." She shrugs. "I suppose you should get a different cane? Didn't they mention that in the news report?"

If we find Carsten... you mean.
"I can speak some Russian too," Max said to Yvonne. "But don't worry, I've been to St Petersburg a couple of times, and most of them speak English there too. If not, Maria and I will do the translating."
He thought about the cane for a moment. "If they're looking for someone with a cane, we might as well do away with the whole thing," he agreed with Yvonne. "They wouldn't allow it on a plane anyway. We could get a wheelchair. Nobody's going to suspect a woman in a wheelchair."

"Yes, I can also speak english and french equally well" Maria said, feeling pride from actually being useful SOME way.
The wheelchair comment however made the Fang give a dirty look at Max. "If I remember right, this weekend you spoke about pride to me, didn't you Max? I'm not sure if I could pass as one.. but a good idea" Maria joked at first, but then seemed a bit more interested. Suddenly, she got an idea. " What if we get a cast for my deformed leg? That way it wouldn't gather attention the least. I better dye my hair too and use sunglasses just in case" Maria said, looking very excited at the plan.

"Oh, yes, your hair will be easy to dye." Yvonne knows all too well the difficulty in lightening dark hair. "The problem with a cast is if you do suddenly need to move you're stuck. If we get in any trouble you'll need to stop and cut it off before you can change form. At least you can jump out of a wheelchair as soon if you have to."

Max raised an eyebrow, not quite sure where the insult was in being in a wheelchair. Being raised in human society, he had been taught that looking down on people with disabilities was just as bad racism, or any kinds of -isms for that matter. "There's nothing wrong with being wheelchair-bound," he said. "They'll make you use one on a plane anyway." He agreed with Yvonne. "The cast might be problematic," he said. "All right so when can we expect to fly?" he asked.

"I speak English, so that's a relief." She smiled a bit. Now that Danny had eased her fears about her kin, Adiyah could fully focus on the trip ahead and what it meant. Re-opening a moon bridge would be so important. This was what the spirits foresaw, she just knew it.
She nodded thoughtfully as they discussed Maria's appearance. "I agree, no need to cover the leg in a casr because it will be a further hindrance and that is the last thing you need. You could just wear a long skirt if you're in a wheelchar anyhow it will cover it if that's what you want. I might even have something in the clothes I have."
Adiyah didn't have much, not since the spiral attack anyhow. She looked to Danny at the question. She wasn't sure, through regular channels it could take a month to get the papers through, if Danny had strings to pull maybe they could leave tomorrow if not sooner. It was interesting, she'd always wondered what Russia was like. Now she would get it see it, even if it was a quick glance. She looked to Maria, glad the Fang was showing a bit of her tribe's known pride, but hoping it didn't get the better of her. "He is right, unfortunately, so we might as well use it to our advantage."

Maria grinned at Max. "Only joking, Max" she said simply
"A skirt? You let me wear a skirt?" Maria said, sounding again as surprised as usual when someone did something she wasn't used to. "Okay, so I will not use a cast. Wear a skirt, dye hair, sunglasses. Even Master couldn't recomdnise me then" Marua said cheerfully.
"Still, I have to take that all away after we arrive. Walkers or not, I must look presentable to the elders" Maria said to her pack. Thought, she mused if that would only lead to another wanted-poster with her head.

Danny smiled, rather pleased at their enthusiasm. "I will call you as soon as your passports are ready," he said. "Just be ready to leave, and be prepared to stay for a week, more or less. A direct flight should get you there within a few hours."
((OOC: I will use the same thread and do a time skip for everyone to meet Claire the next evening. You may consider the rest of the evening used to sort out Maria's "disguise".))

As Maria sat down into one of the chairs in the main room, she felt a bit odd. The sunglasses felt odd, the dye job felt odd and the skirt felt even worse. But, as her Master would have said, one must endure hardships.
Besides, now she had far more important things in her mind. Like Claire. The ragabash and her had hit off well from the moment they met. That was a good sign if anything was and the metis knew she had some clout to present her to Lion.
Presently, thought, the Fang tried her best to comb her hair back.

Yvonne joins her shortly and takes a seat. In a rare moment of alertness, she spots Maria's discomfort. "You're not a fan of skirts?" She shrugs. "I don't normally wear them, but I normally expect to have to be running around fighting the Wyrm. They get tangled too easily." Yvonne has her documents with her, after being reminded about twenty times by her father, along with a book on veterinary medicine that she's supposed to be studying.

Maria jumps at bit at Yvonne's arrival. Again. She takes of the sunglasses and rubs her eyes at the sudden change of lighting. " How should I explain it, a servant of metis birth is not supposed to show signs of gender, it is supposed to do it's job. That's what master said. So this is the first time i am wearing one. Feels..oddly naked" the Fang explained and looked at the book Yvonne had. " Oh, animal care? You like that?" Maria asked, and suddenly felt a heavy weight in her stomach. Great going genius, she mentally berated herself, you just might have made your packmate's life harder.

"That's... weird. Your... 'master' doesn't sound like a very nice man." Yvonne looks a mix of confused and disgusted at the idea. She looks over at the book. "It's what I'm training to do at school, I'm still new to it. I thought I should bring it along, since I'm having to cut classes for a few days. I'm going to have sooo much work to do when I get back."
