I've caved to popular demand and re-enabled the karma system. When the board started, the Karma system was in place so players could give each other kudos for exceptional roleplaying. So don't ruin it by giving it out without a good reason. That's the only karma rule. Yeah, and players with multiple accounts... I really shouldn't have to say this I'd really like if if players took care not to abuse it, and with my almighty god powers I can enforce this. So be warned.

So we can put people in the negative again....ponders and smiles fondly at that memory from a distant board from a long long time ago.

Only for bad RP or poor characters though. IC arguments are too much fun to risk not having.

Something I thought I'd clear up:
Karma is not an indicator of how much people like you or your character. Do not curse people because they did something OOC or because you think their character is a pain in the neck. A lot of characters are meant to be hated or to make others uncomfortable, and very few of you know each other in person. Also, don't just give karma to your friends or to people you like, or to even to characters you like. That's not what karma is for.
Remember what Karma is for: it's for exceptional roleplaying. Karma is for when you are particularly enjoying a thread with someone, when you see a post that is really well-written, or when you think someone is doing a great job playing a character's flaws, nature or character quirks. Anything that makes you think: wow, that's well-played. If, like me, you're not easily impressed, then just don't do it. Cursing, similarly, is for when you feel that someone hasn't been putting in the effort to write coherently, or they're compromising their character for the sake of being petty or something, for metagaming or using OOC information, posting rubbish, or powergaming. Ok, I could go on, but you get the gist.
