Yvonne looks up at Saxon and shrugged. "I don't know what she thinks she's proving." Too angry at Nadya for words, Yvonne just glared at her.

Saxon moved forward slightly so he could say softly to Anna, "Well done lass." He smiled at her before going back to lean against the wall and look at Yvonne. "Nadya is, how can I put this, she believes that she has to test everyone she meets. Quite why I have no idea, but she does especially those she thinks are weaker somehow."
He shrugs, "It is on many ways a quite annoying little habit, having constant aggression is bad for Sept cohesion. Your pack does things in a different way and you seem to blend very well together. I just answer her with humour."
He winked at Yvonne before he spoke in a louder voice to Nadya, "You really must teach me that Face Slam into Fist technique of yours, it bruised Vasara's knuckles something rotten."

"Tough talk from someone who used Anna as shield to slow me down." Vasara grinned at Nadezhda, not a hint of anger in his voice "After ditching her you got one lucky shot before you got trashed. You lost. Shut up and live with it. Only the fact that you belong in Pack prevented me from throating you."
Vasara looked at Anna. She had really bounced of from both Nadezhda and himself. "Have you ever thought about going to gym? Or learning to shoot?" he said with warm voice. He knew Anna was puny girl, and that she broke easily. Maybe she just needed to find out new approach for combat.
Then Vasara too shifted into lupus and stepped sideways.

Nadya snorts at Vasara, ignoring Anna and Saxon. "Sure, right, like the time I spent having to deal with her didn't give you any cheap shots at all. If you hadn't had the chance to get them in thanks to her getting in my way, your face would be in the fucking fireplace by now." She grins. "And you'd probably look better with it. You beat me because you took cheap shots, shut up and live with it."

"Yeah," Anna said to Saxon. "I shouldn't have lost it." She still wished she'd smashed her face in, but she didn't want to keep Cloud-Dancer waiting on the other side. Besides, Vasara had taken care of that. Now she was just acting like a small child who didn't want to admit they had lost. She nodded at Vasara's suggestion. She managed a smile at Yvonne, although it was still a grim and somewhat psychotic smile. "Shall we go?" she asked. Then she concentrated on stepping sideways.

The pack and Yvonne stepped sideways to find Cloud-Dancer already waiting in Lupus. When they had all shifted to their wolf forms too, she started off in the direction of the inner city, and they followed. She didn't stop once, but kept running confidently through the weaver-infested city, over the rubble, and towards the wall.

Aleksi returned from police station after being questioned. He looked around for anyone, and put his toolbag on the table with a loud thumping noise to make sure people knew he was around. One thing you learn on living with Fenrir is you should never sneak on them.
He looked at the broken chair, and with a sigh he opened his bag and started to take measures. It looked like he had to do a whole damn new chair. Garou always were like this. They killed and they destroyed, and then they left like a heroes and let the kin take the fallout and repair the damages. He looked at the dried blood on the floor and wondered what had happened, but then decided that he really didn't want to know.
Aleksi took off his jacket and rolled his sleeves. It felt good to do something concrete with your hands, it calmed the nerves down and helped him to focuse on problems. Kasiya was caught, the kid was gone, Aleksi himself was almost caught. What a great road-trip that was.
He wrote short notes and few scetches of the chair on his memos and looked around again. There would be a good chair at the caern in just a few days. He just wondered should he make it sturdier to withstand blows or build it in a way that collapsed it if the chair was used as disciplinary-tool. He started to clean up the splinters and tried to save as much of building-material he could. Aleksi was sure that someone would come to him at some point if he made noise and then he could try and explain what had happened.
He looked at his sawed-off shotgun inside the bag. He felt relieved that he didn't need to use it to get out.

Some time later, Danny arrived in the Library to find Aleksi working hard replacing the chair that Nadya had smashed. He didn't really know Nadya had smashed it, though.
"Did it go well?" he asked. Aleksi had been a little late but then the drive was a long one.

"Finally someone's around." Aleksi sighed as he packed his tools to bag to show Danny that he would have a break and give him his full attention. Then he went and placed the tools next to his clothes near the front door. He had changed his working-clothes on, no need to spoil any of his free-time clothes by working with sharp objects and paints. "We lost Martin somewhere, he just dissappeared at the Checkpoint, Kasiya is in jail and I don't know why but he is going to see a psychologist. I was questioned for some time in the station too, the car was checked by cops and I hope they didn't bug anything." Aleksi told as he wiped the blade of his knife clean to his sleeve before putting it in his belt. "I didn't tell them anything they could use, really. I know the rules, big mouth get's you killed." Aleksi looked at Danny nervously.
"They are thinking that Kasiya has done some terrible things. And I am very worried on how Tony will react after finding out that I was interrogated after being caught on a mission he didn't sanction..." Aleksi didn't know the backgrounds but he knew that Vasara didn't think well right now on some of the so-called 'caern-crew'.
Aleksi just hoped he would understand instead of bashing in some heads, and he hoped that if Vasara ended up on bashing heads, he wouldn't bash Aleksi's head.

There was a sense of urgency in Danny's voice, but he remained calm. "He disappeared?" he asked. "He probably stepped sideways. Don't worry. We will find him." He himself was quite worried, but there was no need for Aleksi to worry too. He had been through enough of that already.
"A psychologist," he frowned. "Did they say what they think he has done? Which station did they take him to?"
He stopped asking questions, not wanting to bombard Aleksi. "I'll call Edward," he added. "He'll sort this out, I'm sure. Don't worry. You did the right thing." They had no reason to suspect Aleksi was involved in any of... whatever Kasiya was accused of.

"Stepped sideways?" Aleksi asked. That didn't make any sense to him, but then again maybe it didn't even need to. "I am not sure what they think he has done, but they clearly were looking for him. I think they are thinking that Kasiya was going to kill me and Martin."
"I had to lie to them that Vasara is taking care of the boy, I couldn't think anything else at the moment. No-one had told me any backgrounds when we left so I needed to wind it up. I just wanted to get out myself and let you folk know." Aleksi scratched his head as he tried to figure out important bits of the series of happenings that ended up like trainwreck.
"I did all I could short of shooting at the guards, I tried to stall the guards at the checkpoint but it seems that I failed. Martin dissappeared and Kasiya was caught."
As last bit of information Aleksi told Danny the station he was questioned in.

"You handled things as best you could," Danny said. "Don't worry. Edward will handle the police. He will make sure they don't question you or Vasara about this. We'll call them and tell them Martin found his way home. He's hopefully still in the Umbra. I will send out a group to find him as soon as Cloud-Dancer returns." He was glad Aleksi had the sense not to shoot the guards. That would have really messed things up. Whatever the cops thought Kasiya had done, Edward could clear it up. "Sit down for a bit," he said. "I'm truly sorry I got you involved in this. I should have expected some complications."

Aleksi frowned at the 'sit down' part. "No, thanks. Idle hands are Devils playthings. I rather work and get this out of my system that way. I fix this chair and then leave to Ragnarok. I think I need to stay there now, and I need to find apartment somewhere near it too." Aleksi intentionally let the Umbra-part of Danny's talk to slip by. Umbra... wasn't that a color or something?
"I wonder what the hell has happened here." he said quietly as he looked the splintered wood and bloodstains on the floor.

"All right," Danny said. He looked at the splintered chair. "One of your brother's packmates broke that chair on your brother's head. I appreciate that you are replacing it..." He watched Aleksi silently for a short while. "I will find the boy," he said. "We will sort this out."
He didn't know what else to say. Aleksi had every right to be upset, and he had to find both Martin and Kasiya, and hope the veil was still intact. He left Aleksi fixing the chair, and stepped back behind a bookshelf, where he disappeared into the Umbra.

Cloud-Dancer hung up the phone and looked around to see Simeon emerge from the Umbra.
"Wait," she said, before he had a chance to wander off. "I need a word with you." She stepped out of the kitchen and joined him in the library's main area.
"This is a right mess," she said. "I was going to look into the company building, find out what they're hiding on this side of the gauntlet, but right now, the risk to veil with Kasiya's arrest is a lot more important." She hesitated. Sending a bunch of Cliath off alone to look into a building that most definitely touched by the Wyrm did not seem like the safest idea. "Do you think you can handle the building?" she asked. "Don't do anyting dangerous. Just see what you can find out without getting yourselves killed."
