Adran watched as Jess moved in to get Jona. His distraction was planned, so if Em failed from Jess, plan B was still operational. He moved to make way for Jess to get around to Jona.

The man holding Katrine continued to talk to Emelie.
"I'll get to the point," he said. "Some friends of yours took something they found in the forest. A book. The problem is, it wasn't theirs to take. Bring it to me, and I'll let her go."
The second man made no move towards Adran or Jess. He let them walk past him easily enough, if they wanted to. But the other man snapped his head around and glared at them, and with a quick motion, he twisted Katrine's arms and snapped both her wrists.
"I said please, back off," he said calmly. "Don't make me do this."
He turned back to Em, unconcerned with Katrine's pain. "You'd better reign your pack in," he said. "Or this deal is off."
Emelie was now the only one standing near enough to the door to notice that the lights had switched on in the building opposite to them. In her peripheral vision, she thought she could see the curtains move ever so slightly.
(Katrine takes 4 levels of lethal, is stunned, and can gain a rage point above the maximum for this situation.)

This conversation is getting nowhere. That book is far too valuable for this. Sounds like I can give my plan a try. Adran then said to Em and Jess in the Mother's Tongue, "It doesn't seem that diplomacy worked. I can't give up the book, not even for Jona, but I can offer myself. If you can help support my insults and get them to attack me, Kat and Jona might have a chance. There's always a chance that it might backfire on me, but things can't go much more wrong than they already have. I have faith in my Galliard skills, but just get Jona out and then get me out."
Adran backed up a few steps and looked over at the small guy and said, "As weak as you are, it's no wonder that you need a break, since you can't seem to take a punch without cowering like a girl. I didn't expect much from you either, as it seems you can't do anything but whine and complain. As for your companion, he might be able to take on a weakling without hurting himself. He must really be frail if he's afraid to take a hit himself. And to top it off, you two don't have the guts to fight like real men. So why don't you just get the book yourself? Or are you too much of a pansy to even think about taking a little risk to get what you want?"
Adran then added, "Oh, and by the way. I'm not pack. But I'm still better than you. I hope that two ladies can take on a real man in combat, but if you can't due to your cowardice, I'll understand. It will just prove that you were supposed to be for breeding rather than for actual combat."
(Improvised Song of Mockery aimed at the two.)

The blonde man laughed at Adran's words, but the one holding Katrine was not so easily amused. He pushed her aside and took a step closer to Adran.
"It sounds like you are challenging me," he said. "I wouldn't usually lower myself to accept a challenge from someone so far beneath me, but very well."
He clenched his fists and raised them.
The blonde man stopped laughing and went pale.
"Leo will stand down," the dark man said. "I take it your friends will not interfere either."

"If you want to think of it that way, fine by me. Maybe your friend Leo should help you. You seem to need it. Unless he's too frail and needs to be coddled, he might be able to even the odds. But before we get started, might I have your name? Or if you're too dimwitted to speak it, just grunt it out in a halfways recognizable form. That should be simple enough for a gorilla like you."
Adran knew this was going to hurt and said to Jess in the Mother's tongue, "As soon as the big guy attacks me, get Jona and stick to the plan. Jess, you and Kat should take on the guy named Leo. Allow Em to get close enough to take Jona into the Umbra and then we'll go from there."
Adran raised his fists and got ready to block whatever the guy could throw at him. At least long enough for his friends to get through.

Spirals. That makes life simpler. Jess thumbs Em over towards Jona then steps up to Katrine. She places a hand on the sword hilt and gives it a gentle tug. Use this. Time to give the whiny bitch something to really complain about.

Em couldn't have made a more disgusted face if she tried. bad enough, Adran just jumped in without even letting her finish what she was doing, he was making far too many assumptions for her liking. As if she was going to give up his precious book...maybe he should re-evaluate his 'feelings' towards it. And now everyone suddenly seemed to want to play the boss, when no one stepped up at first. Fuck it! With a disgusted shake of her head she moved towards Jona, hoping he was still alive, despite the horrid paleness of him.

(Sorry for the very short post and the long wait, I have this big report thing killing me and sucking up all my time.)
Katrine had expected something like this at some point or an other, she was more then ready to repay the big dork, but first thing first and Adran should handle his own mess for now. She braced herself and was grateful to Jess, for the gesture. In a swift movement, she took a swing at the little guy.
(Use the gift resist pain and attack, if possible)

Adran barely got to finish his sentence before a rain of fists descended on him. The first struck the arm he was using to block and crushed it. The second was a hook and it just barely missed him, but the last two caught him squarely in the chest and cracked his ribcage with a sickening crunch that the others could hear in the garage. Adran collapsed, his chest caved in, bleeding and barely breathing.
The one called Leo was quick enough to see Katrine coming, but not agile enough to avoid her. The sword drew a long line across his chest and his shirt started to redden. It didn't drop him, though. In fact he looked like he didn't even feel it. "Bitch!" he shouted over the voices.
"There's no need for that," the other man looked calm again as he wiped Adran's blood off his hands and turned to face Jess. "As you can see, fighting us will get you nowhere. You must realise by now you're out of your depth. But if we wanted to fight you, you'd all be dead already. We just want the book."
As they spoke, Emelie followed the plan and got to Jona. She didn't need to touch him to know he was beyond her help. Even as she got close, she could feel the presence of silver nearby. There were two holes in chest corresponding, most likely, to the two gunshots they had heard before. He was still warm, but showed no signs of life.
Adran takes 5, 6 and 10 levels of bashing damage and is unconscious. Kat heals 1 level of lethal damage. Now on 3. Resist Pain active. Em can have a point of rage above her maximum. And yes, Jona is very dead.
If you continue to attack, declare your actions as if in combat rounds. Otherwise, you're free to post as you like.

The fight, if it could be called that, was already begun and already they were down two, three if you counted poor Jona. It was not a fight she would have picked, especially with what appeared to be people starting to watch. But that gave her an idea. Jumping to her feet, she let out a scream as loud as she could, and made a dash for the garage entrance. "Help!" She yelled "They attacked by boyfriend!" As she waved her arms frantically at the building with the lights on.

Jona not getting up and Em not even touching him painted a grim picture, they needed to even the field and fighting another day seemed like a fine idea, so she stepped in to take a defensive stand over Adran, no reason to risk having another killed.
She thought to herself. Please, help me show these vargs how a real Fenrir stands her ground and let me hold Tyrfing high, when I defend our homelands
(Call for aid for her ancestors and try to activate Tyrfing, defensive stand)

As Em left the garage, Jess snarls and turns to look toward Jona. She heads over towards him quickly, her heart sinking as she gets closer.
((Frenzy check assuming I get close enough to check. In fact, I'm probably heading towards one if they try to stop me.))

Leo watched Emelie flee but didn't do anything about it. With both men focusing their attention on Jess and Kat, she got away and ran into the street. Her screams caused a few lights in the house opposite to switch on.
Leo's larger friend gave an irritated snort and glared at Kat. Suddenly, attacking this much larger and very frightening Glabro werewolf seemed like a very bad idea. She had been through some scary ordeals, but none of them were as terrifying as the idea of fighting this man. Her ancestors seemed to agree with that sentiment. "This is not a fight you can win. Even a Child of Fenris knows to choose their battles."
Jess only made it another step before Leo caught her in his gaze and stopped her dead in her tracks. She'd have to get past him to get to Jona, and right now fighting him seemed like a terrible idea.
"I will say this only one more time," said the larger man. "Fight us, and you'll meet the same end as these two. Run and you can only run for so long. Help us and you will be spared."
No Frenzy, but Jess can have a point of rage. Tyrfing is active and Kat gains a +2 to melee. Jess is caught in a Staredown and can't attack for 2 turns. Kat is under effects of True Fear can't attack for 5 turns.

At least they made no move to make things worse and this way there was still a chance to get everyone out, she had hope that Em might warn the other garou at the sept. In her silent mind she whispered thanks to her ancestors for favoring her in this grim hour. “We can’t go back for it without everyone, questions will be raised, allow us to collect our comrades and you have my word that I will return.” She did not want to go toe to toe with them and this was a possibility for that, revenge for Jona had no place here and not now

Seeing the lights flipping on Em just kept screaming her head off "They got guns...Someone call the police! Oh please, please someone help!" She kept running, waving her arms and pointing to the garage, wondering how dense these people were before someone called....and how stupid the two males in the garage were to let her run out of there screaming. That book must be very important.
