Adiyah, Max and Yvonne followed the river towards the Phoenix's cave. They hadn't gone far when they heard a howl, signalling a hunt. The hunt was undoubtedly for them, and the trinket they were carrying. But few Garou could have kept up with Dammerlicht's pace. The three were fast even in homid, and in Lupus with nothing to slow them down, they outstripped their pursuers easily. By the time they reached the waterfall, they couldn't hear the howls at all.
Once again, they were at the edge of the cliff, staring down at the jagged rocks below.

Max stopped at the edge of the cliff and caught his breath. He shifted to make it easier to both climb and talk.
"I think we lost them," he said. "I had forgotten how well this pack can run. We'd better hurry anyway. I'll go first, same as before."
He started to climb down, using his claws to get a good grip on the rocks as he descended.

Adiyah ran with all her strength, especially when they heard the howl. Being hunted when you were predator was something she hoped she'd never have to get used to. Once they reached the cliff Adiyah shifted too, then she frowned, nodding to Max. "Yes, us three are fast and run well together. I only wish since the last time we were here I had time for rock climbing lessons."
Dreading another slip and fall after what had happened last time, she watched Max start down. "Carefully too, don't hurry so much we neglect the dangers here." She looked ot the Fury now. "You next, then me."
When it came time, she headed down to, making the progress as quick as she could while making sure she had a steady hand and foot hold each step before proceding.

Maybe it was because they had climbed down this cliff once before, and knew to avoid the loose rocks, or maybe it was because they were being hunted, but either way the climb down was much quicker this time. They jumped the last few metres and landed on their feet on the rocks below.
Here they could see the waterfall that hid the cave entrance. If they went through here, they would most likely have to cross through the pool where Adiyah had almost drowned. But there was a second entrance, one they had discovered when Max had lost his footing and fallen into the chasm where the giant bear was sleeping. It was around here somewhere too.
