After another uneventful night of partying and general revelry. Edward had received a telegram that his parents were due in town in the next couple of weeks. Of course he already new about this two weeks ago from Ben in his dads office. After a short nights sleep..he got up early to do his usual routine of running and some light gym work, before enjoying his good ol English breakfast watching the Wall street stock exchange in the comfort of his Penthouse. At 7am he heads off to the office... thats right a new client...'Pentax or something or other..o' well will just have to get some of the researchers and interns to get the info pronto. With that he dials up Alexandra his personal assistant to forward on the necessary requests. Alexandra has been with the family for years.. I suspect that she has been planted by my father to keep tabs on me. But she is nice to look at so i don't mind. Besides she usually tells me more about what my father has been up to than vice versa...After a 5 minute zippy drive in his latest model platinum BMW, he arrives at the office, parks in his reserved space on the bottom floor of the car park next to the elevator. He grabs his briefcase and phone then remote locks the car. A brisk walk to the elevator, then a couple o f minutes later he walks out onto the 10th and top floor of the building in which 'Rockerfella and Associates' now resides. He is the first one into the office.. well aside from Alexandra..seems like she never leaves. Thats dedication for you! After grabbing a fresh brew of coffee, he heads for his office overlooking town. Where he sits down to check the 'London Times'. What a wonderful day to conduct business! ... It is a beautiful red sunrise over the city!At which point he reclines back in his comfortable leather recliner, read the paper while enjoying the newspaper, while waiting for the day to begin!

It was a terribly bleak and rainy day in Berlin. The morning news brought a more unpleasant news, with a story about a grisly murder in Berlin's University. A research team was slaughtered, the police are baffled, and the murderer remains at large. Apart from that, there's not much of interest.
At 8 o'clock sharp Alexrandra rang him on the intercom. "Mr. Rockerfella, your 8 o'clock, Mr. Feldmann is here. Shall I send him in?"

Edwards ears perked up, upon hearing of a murder in town. If he wasn't working he would jump in his car and go looking into it himself, looks like it will have to wait, maybe i can get someone to check into it for me later. With that thought he makes a quick note on the note pad by the intercom..
Pressing the intercom " Send Mr Feldmann right in."
With that he gathered the information gathered by his underlings and had a quick glance at the material about to be discussed.
Edward gets up and greats Mr Feldmann with firm hand shake..oozing confidence, calm and ease on anyone in his presence.
" Cigar? ...Whiskey?...Coffee?" At which point Edward offers a seat on one of his luxurious couches.
"Now Mr Feldmann, how may I be of assistance to you today?"
With that said he reclines back into the comfortable leather reclining chair, waiting for Mr Feldmann to get comfortable and get to the point.

Jakob Feldmann was a short plump man with very little neck and even less hair. He wore an expensive business suit and already held a cigar between his beefy fingers, despite the fact that it was only 8 in the morning.
He shook Reckerfella's hand and made himself comfortable. "Whiskey will be fine," he said. "I will get to the point Mr. Rockerfella, I know I don't have a great case, but there is a lot of money involved."
Of course, there would be. Feldmann was rich and powerful, and he had no qualms about spending money to get what he wanted. He was in his late fourties, but he looked much older, probably the effect of his lifestyle. This case, however, did not look like one of his usual ones. Usually Feldmann wanted to get rid of some pesky tax evasion charges, environmental lawsuits, and someone to overlook the taking over of other companies. No, this time it was a family affair. Feldmann was worried about his inheritance. In particular, it was a small patch of land in Berlin, and a rather unimpressive building that stood on this land.
"I take it we will be contesting this will, that left the property in the hands of my niece?" [/color]

Edward took another quick glance over the papers in front of him concerning the will in which the small patch of land was described...He thought to himself 'It will be a hard case indeed but I haven't lost a case yet, Ive already one the impossible many times over..I wonder why such a rich man as Jakob i interested in such a small piece of land, no real significance that I can tell..O well another big commission coming right'
With that thought..he smile as sincerely as he possibly at Jakob and said ' Sure not a problem Mr Feldmann, we should have this matter sorted out within the week. Is there any other details that I need to know about that may have bearing on this contest for the will? Other family relatives, heritage committees etc...I just ask as standard procedure, nothing worse than being caught with your pants down in a court room!'
With the arrangements made and agreed on, Edward shook Mr Feldmann's hand, thanked him for his business and reassured him that it is a piece of cake. Otherwise you wouldn't have come to me in the first place! All said with a cocky grin.
Once Mr Feldmann had left the office, he got to work, called a quick meeting of his associates and delegated the tasks that needed doing. Background research, laws to contest, checks on the rest of the member contesting the will and their eligibility.
Once the ball was set rolling with his staff...he went back to his office and made some inquiries of his own though a few different channels. Channels which the average German citizen would not have access to in a million years. Perks of past experience and associations more or less.
He sent out a request for information on the current case as well as inquiries into the murder he heard about in the news this morning... It has been running through his mind the whole time he was discussing Jakob Feldmann's case.
Now he can be at ease, well for a little while, he would still drive out there after work and have a sticky beak!

After Edward does a background check on the specifics of the case and the laws that it relates too, he passes on the information for the researchers and associates to build a solid case.
He now has time to consider the crime at the university.
Firstly he makes a phone call the supreme court judge for the legal paperwork to investigate the scene..on the pretense of insurance and public liability claims for the university. Once that is in train, he makes another phone call to the police station and relevant people in charge of the univeristy crime scene. This is basically a curtousy call to let them know he is coming and not to be hindered in any way.
Once the papers have arrived at the office e tells Alexandra, that he will be out of the office for a few hours and that she can reach him on his mobile phone. With that said, he shuts down his computer and exits the office via the elevator. Once he gets to his car he then speeds off to the university campus, the centre of his curiosity!

After another successful visit to the local police station, Edward enters his office, seems like a busy day as per usual he thought to himself. 'O well better than being bored!' He thought.
Once he exit ed the elevator, he checked in with Alexandra, to see if there were any missed calls. Then signed any papers she had for him, the usual after a quick lunch outing.
He then enters his office, pours a drink of 100 year old malt Scottish whiskey and lights a Cuban cigar. At which point he contemplates his options...'right down to business, first send a message to the university for a bill for my services, then call his associate to get some background info on the to kids in the photographs and also for him to meet him in the editing suite and help him go over the video tape, then the information on Mr Feldmann and the house and finally the info on the Caern. As it is about time he checked it out, say hello to the other members of his kind.'
Edward then precedes to type up a bill for his services and sends it to Alexandra to sort out. He then precedes to call Bill his security consultant, asks him to come round with the information on the two kids and help him with the video. Then he searches through his information on the local Caern.
After this is done he sits back and waits for everything to settle into place...he enjoys his whiskey while looking out into the dreary wet day of Berlin..after it started out so well!

When going through his information on the Caern, Rockerfella finds that it was a small library in West Berlin at one time. Owned by a local german family, it seems they have not done much with it over the years.
There is an adress to the location and some other random notes; tax information, water and utility bills. There is no indication that the owner lives in a different residence, but it is apparent that they do not reside there, if he looks carefully at the small amount of city bills over the last couple of years.

Edward upon Reading the information on the Caern, makes a quick decision. Thinking to himself 'To hell with it the other stuff can wait for the moment, i will be back in a few hours, nothing that i cant do later!'
With that he tells Alexandra that he will be out of the office again for a couple of hours, if I am needed you can forward them to my mobile phone.
And with that done, he leaves via the lift and gets into his pride and joy, the Platinum BMW.
He floors it out of the car park, much like a Hollywood movie. Then zips off towards the little library in West Berlin....
