It had been a busy week, and it was only getting busier.
"Hi Amanda," Cloud-Dancer greeted the secretary. "Edward's in right?"
He said he'd make time for her, but he had a lot deal with lately too. This wasn't something that could wait, however, and when Cloud-Dancer walked into his large expensive office, she was all business for once.
"I need a favour," she said to him as the door closed and prying ears were shut out.

Edward looked up from the paper he was reading. Watch Cloud-Dancer enter the room he stood up and offered his hand to her. He replied, "What kind of a favor do you need? Has something gone wrong at the caern?" Edward knew she was talking business and that this wasn't just a social trip. He had some issues on his mind as well but he made time as this was likely a caern matter that Cloud-Dancer was here for.
Edward said as well, "Please Cloud-Dancer, sit down. Would you like some refreshments as well?" He motioned for her to sit down after remotely locking the door and notifying his secretary that he wasn't to be disturbed until the meeting was finished.

Cloud-Dancer smirked as he locked the door remotely. "Show-off," she joked and sat down. But she returned to her not-so-usual serious state soon afterward. "First, I need you to transfer guardianship of two kids to me," she said. "They are David Verocha and Anna Walczak. Neither of them have any surviving family members that we know of. Anna should not be a problem. David might be tricky. He's not in the country legally right now. I smuggled him in from East Berlin. " She waited to see Edward's reaction. He knew what was and wasn't possible a lot more than she did. Even if he was a corporate lawyer, he had sorted out Anna's guardianship issues before.

Edward sat and thought awhile on the subject of David's illegal entry. After awhile he said, "If I can find any kin of his in Western Germany I can have his status transferred to them and from there to you. If not, then I will call in some favors myself to get his status cleared up, from there I will get the adoption papers for you to sign. Anna will not be a problem as her legal status isn't a problem. I can get guardianship for the two transferred to you, David will just take a bit longer though."
Edward got out a bottle of brandy and poured himself a glass and offered it to Cloud-Dancer as well. He said, "I can take care of that, now what else is on your mind that you need my help for."

"Thanks," Cloud-Dancer with a relieved smile. "The second issue, is this."
She unzipped a bag she was carrying and extracted a number of thick files, which she placed on his desk.
"Slagbröder left those lying around the library," she said. "They found them in a pharmaceutical lab in town when they scryed for one of the missing kin." She flipped open the first file. It had information on a certain Mark Harding. Edward recognised the picture in the file as Saxon's. "They've got one on Anna, Vasara, Simeon... a few others," she counted the files. "Along with whole GLS business. Seems to be their 'medical term' for us." She showed him the letters. "It's not good," she said. "We need to find out who they are and how the hell they know so much."

As soon as Edward saw the letters, his eyebrows shot up in surprise. He replied, "I will have to make this a high priority, you have my word that I will find out as much as possible about these letters. Can you also get word out to some of these Garou that I'd like to interview them in order to find out more about what the lab was like?"
He stared into his brandy glass and thought for a few minutes before adding, "Will there be anything else that you need from me? If not, then I will get working on what the caern needs." Edward thought to himself, "How could humans know so much about us, was there another breach of the Veil that caused this. I should also make some calls to my tribe about this." He chuckled for a bit and asked her jokingly, "So where is your axe? I thought you went everywhere with it."

"Don't worry, it's close by," Cloud-Dancer laughed. "I'll send you Slagbröder for a talk when they get back from wherever it is they are. They're not the chatty type, but I'm sure they'll answer a few questions. They're probably just as keen on finding out what this is all about."
She stood up. Meetings with Edward were always short and to the point. She liked that. "I appreciate this," she said. "The Sept appreciates this. I'll see you next Tuesday then, at the moot."

Edward stood up to shake her hand and remotely unlocked the door out of the office. He said, "Its good to hear that the Sept is still running well. I will call the caern up when I get the status of David straightened out and I get the adoption papers as well. I will also try to get some more info on these GLS files. I'm sorry I wasn't able to handle our earlier problem, but I can't do anything from this end to fix it. I will see you at the moot then. Bye."
Edward gave her a smile and sat back into his chair. He took out his cell phone and dialed up his contacts to see about David's legal status being corrected and finding out to see if he could get adoption papers for him. He also made some calls to get Anna transferred over to Cloud-Dancer's custody. After doing so he sat back, drank his brandy and smoked one of his cigars before turning back to the work he had before, as well as filing the papers Cloud-Dancer gave him so he could work on them when he had time.
