Blake steps aside with Abby in order to give Anna a bit of privacy, pulling at his own duster a little self-consciously, remembering his own first few changes.
"So.. where too" Blake looks to Abby for some idea of where she plans to go, the whole while listening for any signs of trouble coming back to plague them.

Anna noticed for the first time that her clothes had ripped when she had changed. Even her shoes had burst when her feet had turned into clawed paws. She waited for both of them to turn around before shifting back to human form. It wasn't as difficult as she had imagined.
She quickly slipped on the trenchcoat and buttoned it up. It felt odd, but it was better than the alternative.
So werewolves and other werethings can turn into monstrous beasts and step into other worlds. And there's evil werewolves and good werewolves?
Needless to say, Anna was getting increasingly confused. But now that the initial shock was passing she was feeling more curious than scared.
"So when do I get wings?" she asked joining the others.

Looking to Blake, Abby nods her head down the Umbral street.
"We'll duck into an alley 'round here," She says, continuing walking, "Then step back into the real world... wouldn't want to do it in the middle of the street. From there, we'll head over to a Kin's place I was at before Owl asked me to help Anna..."
She looks back to Anna, smiling.
"...and that's how you get wings," She says, pointing a thumb at one of her own wings, "Get on Owl's good side, he'll take care of you."
Directing the others into the alley she mentioned, she takes her arm off Blake's shoulder, and steps up to Anna.
"Okay," She says, taking a deep breath, "Your first 'mission'. You remember how you were looking in a mirror and ended up here in the Umbra? I want you to try that again. See if you can't get yourself back into the real-world."
She smiles reassuringly.
"We'll be right behind you." She says.

Anna doesn't look too confident. But she nods and looks around for a reflective surface. If it worked before, it should work now...

As Anna lets her perception slide out of focus, the world around her changes back into the one she is used to. Blake and Abby follow, Abby grabbing the coat on the way.
Once in the physical world, they head back to Simon's with no incident. In fact, the streets are suspiciously quiet for this time of night.[/color]

--Another Night--
Karin led the confused Gurahl through the Umbral streets and into the park. A few bird spirits made some noise fluttering overhead, but apart from that the place was quiet. Karin seemed less edgy now that they weren't surrounded by pattern spiders.
"Are you sure you want to wait for the puppies then?" she asked. "They can't really be trusted you know. They'll probably show up with reinforcements and finish us off. You noticed how he didn't answer my question, there could be loads of them, colonies... Bloodthirsty beasts..."

Following along somewhat blindly, Ilya tries his best not to be distracted by the big city.
Stopping in the shade of large umbral willow, the large man looks down at Karin.
"Puppies?" He asks, not quite understanding, "You mean the Garou? They seem trustworthy to me..."
He smiles, a friendly smile, but one with hidden menace.
"Don't worry," He continues, placing a reassuring hand on the girl's shoulder, "I'm sure we could handle any acts of treachery they may throw at us."

Karin sat down underneath the willow tree and stared up at Ilya.
"Fine, we'll work with them... for now." She didn't sound too happy with this decision though.
"So do you want to hear about the Big Shiny Place or should we wait for the... Garou then?"

Leaning against the tree, Ilya frowns.
"Shiny place?" He echoes, "You mean the building where you found me?"
Why can't this girl speak like a normal person? He thinks to himself.

"Yes," Karin explained. "Humans call it a labo-- a labor... well they call it some fancy name. But they use it as a place to build their armies, fucking Wyrm armies. Like the bane-possessed fuckheads we got rid of earlier."
Like most rodens-born ratkin, Karin had a limited vocabulary. This didn't seem to extend to her knowledge of profanities however, which she used quite a bit.
"Now you, they probably wanted to build some super-fomor, who knows. But trust me, you're better off here, slaughtered by were-puppies, than whatever they had in mind for you."

It won't take very long until Vasara arrives to Park, still in real world and finds place where to Step Sideways safely without witnesses.
He wanders awhile in Umbral Park, enjoying the silence and finds two shifters chatting below willowtree. He makes sure they see him first and then approaches them.
"I hope these fit, military surplus-store didn't have bigger sizes." he says as he tosses some army-style clothes to Ilya.
"Kaleb had urgent things to do, but he'll propably joins us soon, meanwhile we could eat something and I would like to hear what you know about that O'Tolleys, after all, both you and we garou are up to do some damage there, so we might as well work together here?"
He sits down, takes some dried meat out of his rucksack and starts eating, eye wide open, Vasara was still in a bit of shock from meeting a gurahl.
"Oh, do you want some too?" Vasara looks at both of them waving a piece of meat on his hand.

Ilya remains silent at Karin's explanation, speaking only after she has finished.
"Not all of the Pattern-Breaker's thralls are willing," He says at the mention of 'bane-possessed fuckheads', "He seduces those he can, and overpowers those he cannot. They do not choose to be Fomori..."
Then Karin's last little statement clicks.
"Me? A Fomor?" He asks, a frown on his face, "I... no... they would not have succeeded, surely I would have..."
If I hadn't woken... His thoughts are cut short by the arrival of Vasara.
Looking over to the Garou, he offers him a smile and friendly nod.
"That was quick," He says, accepting the clothing he offered, "Thank you. These should do nicely. I owe you one."
At the offer of food, Ilya hesitates for a moment, before shaking his head.
"I'm sorry," He says, "While I'm unsure of the last time I ate, that little incident at the restaurant made me lose my appetite. But thank you anyway."
Nodding to Karin, he continues.
"Karin was telling me of a tainted laboratory here in the city," He says, "That is where we met. I awoke this morning on some kind of operating table... to the sounds of a raging Ratkin."
He offers Karin a friendly smile.
"It seems that the Pattern-Breaker is quite strong in this city," He adds, "Something must be done about this..."

Karin looks suspicious at Kaleb's absence. Urgent things indeed... what urgent things did puppies have to do anyway.
"Well the white-coat was trying to... trying to..."
It didn't matter what he was trying to do anyway, his face was now spread over thirteen rat cages.
"Anyway, so what do we do, storm the place and burn it? Hmm?" She looked at Vasara. Surely, puppies liked this sort of thing. Lot's of killing and burning, not much thinking, seemed right up their alley. Karin knew very little about Garou. Actually, Karin knew very little about a lot of things, but that never stopped her forming opinions about them.

Pulling on his new pair of pants, and buttoning-up his shirt, Ilya was amazed at the surprisingly good fit.
Smoothing-out his new clothes, he frowns, looking down at Karin.
"No," He says abruptly, "We must not rush into action. We must take our time. We have our suspicions that O'Tolley's is tainted, as is this 'Shiny Place', but we do not yet have any solid information."
He sits, his back against the rough bark of the willow's trunk.
"We must go about this wisely," He continues, "Scout the areas, find the extent of the taint, learn exactly what it is we will be up against, and find those responsible...
He pauses for a moment, before finishing.
"Rashness will get us killed."

Vasara finished his dried meat before saying anything.
"We will storm the place, don't worry about that, but Ilya is right, we need to know what we're up against before we do that..." he pauses for a moment, looks both of shifters very seriously and continues
"...and I think you should meet the... pack... before we do anything. I don't think anyone of them would mind of having a pair of strong arms and a ... hmm... " he really needed to think here "...a quick wit on our side..."
Suddenly Vasara gets up excited and almost howls words from his mouth "...not on OUR side! WE are ALL on GAIA'S side, TOGETHER WE WILL BURN THAT PLACE TO THE GROUND!!"
