And she finds both. She can sense the Wyrm's taint here, it gets stronger the closer she gets to the gap, and when she crosses, she can see why.
The ground here looks like it has been hit with a moderately sized meteor. The crater extends all the way to the wall, and Yvonne has to stop at this point, or slide down into it.
And the stench intensified. A steaming, sickening heat rose up from the pit. From above Yvonne had a glimpse of the gargantuan monstrosity below. I'm pretty sure she has never seen anything like it. At most you could say it looked like a giant crab, only it had a lot more pincers than a crab. And in one of its pincers it held the limp form a werewolf.
And then she could see the one that had howled, scrabbling for a way out of the pit before she too became the bane's next meal.

Yvonne hesitates, this was one of those life and death decisions Ahroun are expected to make. Lives were going to depend on her actions, her own included, she can see herself being crushed to a bloody pulp in those claws. She sums it up in a word. "OH!... Poop." It's definitely too big and the garou it's holding is certainly dead. Only one life can be saved here. She edges around the crater as quickly as she can towards the one trying to climb up, relying on the four legs to stop her falling in, as she gets close she shifts to crinos and lies down so she can offer a hand up to the life that can be saved.
((spending rage to shift to crinos instantly as she reaches the other garou, extra rage to dodge the crab if it tries to reach out and attack, relying on luck whenever it's necesarry))

Danny finally made it to the wall and cleared it with one jump. Actually, he wasn't really jumping. He just spread his owl-like wings and with one flap, was perched on the wall, looking like a black and white griffin. He reached the top and held on, observing the scene below with a look of mingled shock and horror.
He shifted to Crinos, his claws digging into the wall for supprt, to avoid falling into the depths below. "Yvonne!" he barked to the fury when he saw her trying to edge her way towards the other Garou. He wanted to warn her, to tell her to be careful, and most of all, to tell her that he was pretty sure falling into the pit was a bad idea. He just really hoped that one wasn't a Spiral... it would be something to risk their lives only to have to kill her later.

Yvonne managed to edge her way along the wall without dropping into the pit, using her clawed hands and feet to keep herself from slipping. Despite the fact that the fall here is almost a sheer drop into oblivion, she managed to keep her footing.
The female Garou hanging to the edge of the pit is just out of reach now. She seems to have seen Yvonne, and for a moment is unsure whether or not she is friend or enemy. Then she decides it hardly matters at this point and howls another cry for help.
Danny's bark is almost drowned out completely by a terrible screech from the bane as it realises its prey is escaping. Yvonne can hear nothing over the sounds of the bane's screams as it heads towards them, the other Garou still impaled on its claws. And it makes straight for the two girls.

Yvonne leans as little of her body over the edge of possible, to make sure she doesn't overbalance and fall in too when she pulls out the possible enemy, while still putting the full length of her arm over the edge - almost enough to reach the bottom anyway. She barks out as she does. "We can argue later! MOVE!" The moment she feels another hand in hers, she twists and pulls both of them away, digging in with her three other sets of claws to get as much traction as possible.
((using persuasion to try to get the other garou to listen before it's too late, using as much rage and luck as necesarry to get both of them to safety and out of reach of crabby, spending a point of willpower on pulling her out to avoid falling in too))

Damn that kid, he thought. The bane was headed right towards them. Danny spread his wings and dove off the wall, flying into the bane directly. He wasn't trying to hit it; he knew that would only get him a nice place on the bane's claws, next to the other Garou. He flew up, trying to distract it while the others scrambled out of their holes. He flapped his wings, dodging the claws and trying to make the bane go for him instead.

The survivor didn't need asking twice. In fact, she had been howling for help, not to argue, and she swung her right arm upward, holding on to Yvonne for dear life.
The bane screeched and hesitated, but didn't fall back at Danny's fake attack. Instead it flung the half-eaten body of the now dead Garou at the winged Strider. Danny managed to avoid it, though barely, and the mutilated wolf flew past him and slammed into the wall an arm's length from Yvonne. The impact sent blood and gore flying in their faces as the body splattered against the Berlin Wall. At the shock of being spewed with the torn remains of her packmate, however, the girl lost her footing completely. She flailed her legs in an attempt to climb back up, but now the only thing that kept her from sliding right into the bane's grasp was Yvonne.

Yvonne grips on to the other arm and pulls up as hard as she can, hoping that she has enough grip in case the rescuee trys to climb up too. She continues digging into the ground with her other limbs, hopefully having a fairly good hold by now.

The other Garou seems unable to get a good enough grip, but Yvonne finally manages to haul her up, and she clambers unto the edge of the crater. There she manages to dig her claws into the earth, but kept gripping Yvonne anyway. She doesn't make any attempt to escape now, though. Instead she stares blankly at the torn-off head of her packmate.
Meanwhile, the bane manages to swat the owl-wolf and sends him landing a few metres off, but outside and on the other end of the pit. It doesn't make for him though, but keeps advancing at the two near the wall. Although it moves pretty fast, it doesn't look like it's a very agile creature.
((The exit is a few metres to your left. The Garou you saved is to your right. The wall is behind you, the bane is in front of you, and you need to do some careful climbing to get to the exit.))

"No time! Follow me!" Yvonne doesn't just stand there as she barks out orders, she's already gripping the edge of the wall, well below head height now, and hauling herself up, the claws on her legs scratching against the wall to find extra purchase. She pauses only an instant to look back and give the other Garou a hand up if she needs it.
((still got persuasion on, spending rage to pull up the other garou - aborting to dodge if crabby goes for yvonne instead))

Yvonne scales the wall with one try, making it to the top and turning to see the other Garou's progress. She doesn't seem to be as good a climber, or she's still too deep in shock to try. She lunges for Yvonne's hand and lets herself get pulled up without incident this time. Finally, she is next to Yvonne on the wall. Seconds later, she loses her balance and falls over to the west side, just as the bane's giant claw comes crashing down, inches from where she had been and tearing a hole through the wall.

Yvonne hops down off the wall, not wanting to stay in reach of the claws any longer than necesarry. "You stay right there." She takes a few steps further back, trying to keep the other Garou in sight while moving to see through the gap in the wall and look for Danny. As she does, she calls out to him. "Danny!"

Yvonne hops off onto the West side, just in time for another large claw to come crashing down on the wall. It looks like the bane still hasn't given up on its prey.
"Are you mad, we have to get out of here," the other Garou protested. "Did you see what it did? It ate him! It ate Skull-Crusher... it's mad!"
The tone of her voice suggested that she wasn't one to be reasoned with at this point. But she did seem be to be right, the wall was crumbling as the bane's claws smashed it to bits. Through the gap, Yvonne can see no sign of Danny, only the large hungry crab as it flails its pincers angrily, intent on destruction.

"Calm down!" Yvonne barked, a little annoyed by the show of cowardice "I've just saved your life and I'm not going to just leave Danny to die in your place!" She looks back up from the cowering werewolf, backing away from the bane as she needs to, but doing her best to see Danny through the holes in the wall and over the wall itself.
((need I say, persuasion to try and order some backbone into her, dodging the thing if she can't keep her distance))

It seemed to have worked. She stopped cowering like a child and stood up determinately. She was almost as tall as Yvonne, and her red fur was splattered with blood and entrails. At this point, it was also obvious she was wounded. Her left arm was hanging limply from her shoulder, which is probably why she had had such a hard time climbing out of the pit.
"Alright, I will take a look," she said, having found courage in Yvonne's words. Or maybe she just needed someone to slap her into place, and Yvonne had filled that role. "Watch out," she cried, just as a claw came thrashing down. They both seemed to be out of reach of the bane for now, however. It didn't look like it was capable of getting out of the hole.
The girl shifted to Lupus and started to run along the wall, searching for a place where it was still intact. As it is, Yvonne can see no sign of Danny yet.
