"It looks like it can't reach us, but keep your distance." Yvonne circles around the bane and the crater, staying a good few meters out of reach of it's claws in case it's just a feint. When she reaches the wall, she climbs back up on it to get a better vantage point to see Danny from. She keeps half an eye on the wolf though, just in case.

The other wolf did the same. However, she jumped instead of climbing unto the wall and did her best to hold on with only one arm. The bane seems confused for a while, then it locates them and continues thrashing in their direction. "I see him, he's moving," the wolf said. Yvonne could see him too. He was still in Crinos, with his white-feathered wings spread out underneath him. She also thought she could see him move, but she wasn't too sure. She couldn't verify her suspicions, however, because the wall started shaking as the ground underneath started crumbling. The pit was growing in size.

"Keep back, I'll get him!" she shouts, before jumping off the wall and sprinting around the crater - leaving a reasonable gap to make sure she doesn't fall in with the crumbling ground - towards Danny. "Come on, get up!" She kneels down and gets an arm under him, trying to lift him to his feet and hopefully bring him back to his senses.

"What? No..." the wolf started, by Yvonne was already gone. She sprinted around the crater, which was rapidly growing in size as the bane thrashed and screeched. Once or twice she almost lost her footing, but on the whole she managed to avoid it. The bane itself seemed to decide that it would rather go for the wolf on the wall after all, and continued its thrashing, forcing her nce again out of reach as she dodged the pincers.

Danny groaned and stirred at Yvonne's prompting, slowly coming back to his senses. "What..." he looked up at her face and let her pull him to his feet. Immediately he looked down at the ever-growing pit. He stumbled back as the ground beneath them threatened to crumble and flapped his wings testingly. They seemed ok.
"Go homid," he said, wrapping an arm around her waist. He was still shaken, but the idea of impending doom was enough to bring his wits back.

She looks up at his wings, really seeing them for the first time. She nods slightly, her eyes still on his wings, and reverts to her natural form. "This'll be interesting." She puts her arms around his neck and holds on.

In his Crinos form still, Danny lifted Yvonne up and kicked off hard from the crumbling ground. He picked up speed as he soared higher. The wind resistance was enough to make Yvonne's eyes water. When he neared the wall he started to dive, heading for the other Garou as she was attempting to outrun both the bane and the expanding pit.
"Hold on," he barked at Yvonne as he let go with one arm and attempted to grab the escaping wolf.

The wolf looked up at the flying pair and immediately shifted to homid too, extending a hand to allow Danny to grab her and lift up again.
He wrapped a Crinos claw around her arm and pulled, lifting off with Yvonne holding on to his neck still. As they soared higher, the bane's screeches faded out of perception, and it's rotten stench and steaming heat disappeared slowly.
Pretty soon, they could not see it at all.

Holding on tightly to Danny, Yvonne finally takes the time to get a good look at the new girl. The other new girl, really. If her looks are returned, Yvonne gives her a smile, but then again Yvonne is used to giving false smiles. She wasn't about to trust her just yet.
((sense wyrm again, now she isn't being drowned out by the bane))

The girl didn't catch Yvonne's eye. She was still looking down mournfully, even though the bane and its lair were both well of their view.
In homid the girl appeared to be a few years older than Yvonne, probably in her early twenties. She had blond hair, which was tied up tightly so it wouldn't get in her eyes. She was dressed casually and carelessly, and hadn't even bothered with matching colours.
And Yvonne couldn't smell any taint worth speaking of.
They neared the Caern, and Danny started to lose altitude as he went in for the landing.

Danny landed right outside the Caern's entrance and set down Yvonne and the other girl before shifting back to homid. He folded his wings back and looked at Yvonne.
"You," he said, with still some difficulty because he hadn't caught his breath. "Are just like your mother." What he really meant by that was uncertain, but from the look on his face, Yvonne could be pretty sure to take it as a compliment.

Yvonne grins and eventually lets go, after being sure that her feet were back on the ground. "Well that was... fun? You have wings." She stops grinning, and looks at the newcomer. She has the decency not to smile in light of recent events, despite the new girl being plain and badly dressed. "Hello, I'm Yvonne, this is Danny. I'm pretty sure you're amongst friends here." It takes her a few seconds to remember Danny is supposed to be in charge, but she shuts up and looks at him when she does.

The other girl took some to get her bearings on the ground, and once she did, she leaned against the Umbral wall of the Caern and cradled her left arm with her right.
"I am Sparrow's Song, Galliard of the Red Talons of the Redriver Sept in Schwartzwald, and the last survivor of the pack known as Griffin's Chosen. You have saved my life. I am very much in your dept."

"A gift from Owl," he said. "He watches over me." Danny would hardly have described this whole episode as 'fun', but he managed a smile. He didn't seem to mind that Yvonne was taking charge. It was almost as if he expected it from her.
"You are a long way from home, Sparrow's Song," Danny said, frowning slightly. "If you had made your presence known, we would have warned you about the Wall. I deeply regret that we could not save your friend. As a Galliard myself I will howl his death rites with you if you would agree."
He looked again at Yvonne. "That blood is not yours," he said with some relief. "But we should go inside and clean up. And then maybe listen to her story."

"No, I'm ok." Yvonne looks down at herself and manages to avoid saying anything about the inconvenience in present company. "Oh, you're right." She looks at Sparrow's Song in concern, not sure how she's taking it.
