Micah sniffed around for a while, trying to pick up the cub's trail again. But the smell of blood, taint, and other Garou was just too strong. He trotted off for a bit, but he couldn't remember even smelling the cub's scent at all before.
"No can do boys, I can't find the kid's scent anymore. Maybe he never went into the Umbra. We should go back to the University and try there... maybe we can pick him up again."
Posting for Micah until further notice guys. Sorry.

"That's fine" Vasara takes one final deep sniff from surrounding area but that was more like formality than actual attempt to find any tracks. Micah was the real expert here, if he couldn't find tracks, it was sure that Vasara couldn't do it either, even on a good day "We get back to university, I call others to hear what they have found out and we keep on searching." There was no time to waste, tracks were already getting cold.
"There was a phonenumber for a some sort of psychic investigator in the notes, if we can't find the tracks anymore, we will call there and make a visit to see if we can get more information from it."
Vasara starts jogging back to university in wolf form, staying very alert. This Umbra-thing just was creepy to him and he couldn't wait that he had his feet on the solid World again.

Saxon trotted alongside Vasara, “So you are a rogue, you know your old pack is probably looking for you and you have to get out. Where would you head for?” Whether Saxon was talking to his companions or thinking out aloud was a moot point.
Problem was in many ways he was out of it, although he had been in and out of Berlin it had been a case of in, nights stay and off again. He had not done that much of actually visiting Berlin so his knowledge of where the good places to hide or to leave was hazy. He would have to rely on his companions knowledge.

"If I was a lost and confused cub being poked at by human scientists..." Micah said, thinking on what Saxon said. "I'd probably head where there's no humans... but in Berlin that's a bit hard to narrow down. And checking all the parks and gardens in the area would take days..."
He shrugged and picked up a little speed as he headed back in the direction from which they came. "The Univerisity it is then..."

"That is one possibility. Other is being hunted by Red Talons you might want try to stay away from them too, taking chance with the city, depending how well the professor has taught him." Vasara keeps running back toward the university. Poor bastard, so early in it's life and suffered so much already. Maybe even suffered enough to be so messed up that it cannot be saved anymore.
"...and if he has developed a serious hatred against humans it might stay close to where people live just to be able to kill more, as his enemies or even chosen prey. We cannot know until we find him."
Another bad thought crossed Vasara's mind "If the professor has managed to taught him well enough, we might even be looking for a perfectly normal young man who under stress shifts and kills, not a wolf running around in wolf form eating people."

“Maybe we are looking at this from the wrong angle?” Saxon considered this before he spoke again. “We are assuming the kid is acting on emotion, maybe he is not, maybe he is quite deliberate in what he does . Maybe he is hunting down all those that have hurt him and killing them.”
He looked at Vasara, “So this person you have the phone number for might be on his hot list and as well as giving us information maybe we can use him as a tethered goat as it where?”

Micah nodded. They both had good points. The problem with the cub was that he was unpredictable, which made tracking him so difficult.
"If he's smart he'll skip town... but if he wants revenge like you said, there's not much chance of that."
Micah stopped walking as they reached the Umbral side of the University once more.
"Say, do you think I should get a message to the others, let them know what we're at and what we've dug up so far?"

Vasara shifted back into homid and looked around. "Yeah, I think that is a good idea." he said finally to Micah "I don't like to split forces too much but it is better to let the others too know what we have found out and where we are heading, next stop being this investigator. And I think that Saxon and I are fully capable of restraining one rogue Talon if it shows it's nose there." Vasara smiled "It is better that we combine our information with whatever others may have found out so those at the caern will have the bigger picture to work with."
Vasara walked toward the umbral alley where he and Saxon earlier stepped sideways, carefully watching for Weaver-Spiders. "That what you said can be true. We don't know him so we can't say what he is thinking, but it is likely he has some bad feelings for those who were poking it before." Vasara said to Saxon when he thought the situation over again "We will give this area one final look, but let's waste no more time than it is necessary. After we have crossed the Gauntlet I'll call and find out where this investigator is running it's business. Then we make a visit there."
Micah had earlier been in this area in the Umbra, so again, if he couldn't find tracks here, neither would Vasara without tremendous help from Gods, Vasara thought. Besides, the Veil-Breaker was probably already long gone from here, so it made perfect sense to start preparing a trap for him with those bits of information they had. Vasara gave a short good bye-wave with his hand to Micah and focused on seeing through the Gauntlet so they wouldn't accidently jump right in front of anyone when leaving Umbra.

There was always a slight sensation when the viewpoint suddenly went from three feet above the ground to six feet. Saxon stretched when he completed the shift back to human. “Aye you might be right about the annoyance Vasara, lets see if we can use it to our advantage.” He checked the Gauntlet and then once it was clear, he stepped through.
