Saxon blew the dust away and smiled, it was no longer a shotgun, now it was a stub with a handle and barrels that barely went past the triggers. The swan off so loved by bank robbers, accuracy was rubbish but it was easy to carry and close up would blow a nice hole in a Spiral.
He loaded it, made sure it was safe and then put more shells into the bandoleer. Then he went and to find the others.

"Lots to do..." Vasara murmured and stopped at the door "...we could ask spirits to check the West-Berlin for hellholes during the time we try to locate Jan Stolz?" Vasara looked down as he spoke, things could be lot worse that they had thought "One hellhole on our side is enough, if we got only one we need to deal with it now before corruption spreads and others appears. If we have more of them, we will have our hands full on them for a long time." ((continued in the library))

"The spirits already know, Judgment-from-the-Skies, but we have called upon them often of late and they serve us only as we serve them. I will consult with them later, for while they may aid us, they will not do our work for us."
Jan Stoltz I will find you now.
Kasiya follows Vasara through to the library but continues outside.
"I will prepare the Rite. When I return we can go."
With a nod in passing to the alien newcomer, Kasiya leaves via the back door, marvelling at how easy it is with fingers.

(Moved from the Library in General)
Adiyah was glad to have an excuse to back out of the main room of the library. Things were getting tense, and she was not in the mood for another fight, whether she was viewing it or intervening. She headed into the kitchen at Danny's request, grinning to Yvonne. "Don't remind me of that........I think I'll skip swimming for a while until I get that out of my head."
She felt her heart sink at the information about the pathstone and the bridge. They had a lead but it wasn't the instant answer Max had no doubt been hoping for. It was disappointing to her as well, but at least they'd know where it lead soon.

"Cloud-Dancer-rhya said she could tell us where it leads though, that will give us all we need surely? I doubt he's gone that far. Everything is working out." Typically, Yvonne has no doubt that there will be no problems. She looks around to see what Danny wanted to talk to them privtely about.

"Yvonne is right," Danny said with a nod. He didn't mention the complications that might arise, especially if it turned out the moongem had more than one bridge. He also tried not to look like he was worried about them running off in search of some strange Caern.
"You have a lead. But tell me, how did you find the pathstone? And what makes you believe Carsten Heller is across a moon bridge?"

Max joined them in the kitchen a little late, having stopped the retrieve the pathstone from Cloud-Dancer. He looked disappointed. "If we can't open the bridge, why would Owl tell us that's how to get him?" he said, answering Danny's question without realising it. "Owl must know there's only one option. Then we can find the Caern, and ask them to renew the bridge."
He stared down at the stone in his hand. "And find my uncle."

Adiyah looked between her comrades as Danny spoke his concerns and questions. Max answered one part, and she took it upon herself to fill in the blanks. "Owl charged us with the task of finding a relic, but he did not reveal what it was, only gave us words to guide us on our way and warn us of danger. We went to the river, and we saw Stag standing in the waterfall, and went to where it had been, to find a hidden path behind the wall of water and took it, after a rather cold and nearly deadly swim," She paused, shivering at the memory of icy water filling her lungs and the world going black. "we found Phoenix in a bonfire. He asked us a riddle, and we managed to get the answer right. The spirit gave us the pathstone then. Owl told us what it was when we returned."
She looked to the others to see if they had anything to add, she had left things out fo course, but telling this story would fall to their Galliard best. Perhaps when he was less disappointed. She found herself putting a hand on his shoulder. "We'll find him, Max, we're closer than ever now."

"You make it sound so simple!" Yvonne grins and nudges Adiyah. "But you're right, it was dangerous. We wouldn't of made it through without you, though."

"Your first spirit quest," Danny said with an impressed smile. "Owl was right to choose you for this one. If we renew our moon bridges, our allies will be able to join us when the battle begins."
He looked at Max specifically for a moment. "Listen to your friends, you will find your uncle," he said. "There are many ways to travel. And once you have found him, you must convince him and the leaders of the Caern to perform the rite that will renew the bridge at the same time we do. That will be two weeks from now, when the moon is full. I know I can trust the three of you for this. You have already done the harder part, and retrieved the moongem."
He did have his misgivings about sending them out into the unknown on their own. They were still only Cliath, but they had proven themselves capable. "You work well together," he said. "If you think you are ready to become a pack, we will search for you Totem and bind you as one before you head out. It is the strongest weapon I can give you."

"That's pretty much it in a nutshell," he said as Adiyah finished her quick run-down of events. The full story could be saved for later, maybe at a moot, or their rite of accomplishment.
He glanced at Adiyah and Yvonne when Danny mentioned the Rite of the Totem, and nodded. "I think we are," he said. "And I wouldn't think of completing my search without them. I know I wouldn't get far. I would have been lost in those caves, if I had even managed to find them in the first place."

Adiyah couldn't help but smile as Danny seemed impressed with them and their accomplishment. It had been an important and perilous task, and when an elder gave you praise you took it graciously.
At the nudge from Yvonne she grinned again, then voiced her earlier thought. "Yes, I made it sound simpler than it was, but the abridged version seemed more necessary. Our galliard can weave the details into a much more exciting account when it's called for."
Their pack officially bonded with a totem.......the thought was thrilling. Though she'd only known the others a short time, they had bonded together well and worked as a team very efficiently. She nodded to Danny as well. "Bonded as pack will only make official what already is established, as well as increase our strength. I think it is very generous of you, and will strengthen us for the things ahead."
She refrained from complaining about the short timeline, because it could not be changed and was what it was. It meant they would have to move quickly.

The small meeting was then interrupted as Cloud-Dancer poked her head into the kitchen.
"Mind if I interrupt?" she asked, and then stepped inside. As Maria followed, the small kitchen became a little cramped, but not uncomfortably so.
"I overheard your plans to form a pack," Cloud-Dancer said. "As it happens, Maria is on the lookout for a mission, and a pack for guidance. Do you think you have place for one more in your pack? She's not much of a warrior, but we're going to fix that."
She smiled at Adiyah and Yvonne, and then glanced at Max, who was still carrying the stone. "Shall I find out where that leads, then?" she asked, holding out her hand for the moongem.

As Maria limped inside the room, her mind was racing like a race horse. She knew these garou were nice and seemingly honorable, but the sheer idea of joining a pack? Her mentor had never truly told her how to do it, but here she was standing, being ready to join. She gave the three garou of the small pack a nervous smile.

Yvonne smiles and nods, they had worked well together and she's glad Danny is ready to help them make the next step. She's more glad she isn't going to have to be working with the Fenrir, who had already shown enough male chauvinist tendencies to confirm her tribe's view of their kind. The newcomer's entry is greeted with the same smile before. It's not really distinguishable from a real smile, even though it is evoked by pity. "There aren't many of us, I can't see any harm in one more." At least, Yvonne is doubtful that Max's uncle will take offence to a metis seeking him out. He is a Glass Walker after all. "I think you're welcome to come along, and we'll see how you do."
