"The help will be appreciated," Max said, giving Maria a smile. "I think we're all on board with this. Welcome to the group."
He then handed the pathstone back to Cloud-Dancer. He wanted to ask how long this would take, but didn't want to sound too impatient.
"When can you perform the rite to find our Totem?" he asked Danny. "I'd say, the sooner the better?"

"The sooner the better, you're right," Danny agreed. "But you won't be any good to your pack if you're exhausted. Go home, see your families, and rest. Your totem will wait for you until the morning. And I am sure Cloud-Dancer will have a location for you by then."
He was impressed that they were so accepting of the newcomer, despite the fact that she was a metis. The younger Garou didn't seem to hold with the oldfashioned traditions of their elders. He hoped this was a good thing, and not something he would come to regret later.
"Do you have a place to stay in the city?" he asked Maria, unaware that Could-Dancer had already covered that question. "We have added some living quarters to the Library. I'm afraid privacy is not a commodity, but at least it is comfortable."

As Maria heard everyone seemingly accepting her, Maria's nervous smile turned far less nervous. " Thank you, I will not betray your kindness" she said, bowing at her new packmates. She could barely keep herself contained mentally at the excited, but could control herself enough to not dance around.
" Oh, I don't mind sleeping here, Walks-with-Death-rhya, I'm used to sleeping in crowded places" Maria said. Then one idea came to her. "Could I use your library first? I need to gather some information-" Maria started, but then a loud yawn escaped her troath. She looked at Danny with s sheepish smile. "yeah" she said, to confirm what she said.

Adiyah was surprised that the newcomer was brought in and put upon them. However, she had the feeling that you didn't speak out against Cloud -Dancer. Given what had happened with the Fenrir of the other pack, she figured the metis would not be welcome there, or even possibly safe with them. That left their pack, a much better fit.
After the others had said their piece she nodded slowly, giving the woman an appraising look, hesitating only slightly, but with the other's quick acceptance, it was noticeable. Regardless of breed, she was new and a stranger afterall. Then, finally, she smiled warmly. "We have a fair helping of muscle already, you will find your niche with us. We're happy to have a new recruit, I look forward to seeing what you can bring to the table."
She could tell Maria was excited to be part of a pack, as were they all. Eagerness to go on after the mission helped her forget how tired she was. Then Danny had spoken, and she felt it creep back. Going to see her family and rest in her bed, now that was a good idea.
"You are right Danny. we need our rest. I'll be back first thing, as will we all."

"Alright." Yvonne grins happily at the thought of getting to sleep in her own bed again. "Oh, but I have school in the morning. What about the afternoon?"

"Well that can't be helped," Max shrugged. "Afternoon then."
He knew he wouldn't mind the extra sleeping time. It seemed that recently he hadn't gotten the chance to sleep in that much anymore. At least, he had to admit, things were really getting interesting.
"Will you give me a call once you know where we're going?" he asked Cloud-Dancer. Then he looked at Yvonne and Adiyah. "And let me know when you're ready to head out. I'll give you both a ride home. I think we've done enough walking for this weekend."

"Make it afternoon then," Danny said. They deserved the break anyway. "I will see you here tomorrow then."
He nodded to Maria. "I will show you around," he said. "I think we have some books upstairs that will really interest you. The Garou who founded this Caern were collectors. Some of the books here are quite rare. And one of the upsides of living at a Library: the books are always within reach."

" Afternoom, right, see you then" Maria said to her new packmates, then turning to Danny. " Sounds good, I need to study in any case" she said, trying to keep her eyes open as hard as she could.

"Come with me, I will show you upstairs," Danny said, leading the way out of the kitchen and towards the staircase that led towards the second floor or the Library. >> Continued Upstairs<< OOC: Once things are wrapped up, I will start the Monday evening threads for both packs. No rush though, this is downtime so take your time to get in everything you need to.

Anna knew the little meeting was over when Danny and Maria headed upstairs. She slipped through the door into the kitchen and joined Adiyah, Yvonne, and Max.
"Hi," she said. "I'm Anna." The introduction was for Max's benefit, as they hadn't met before. "Sounds like you've been up to quite a bit," she said. "You're forming your own pack?"

"Anna! You're okay!" Yvonne grins gleefully at the arrival, her exuberance get's the better of her for a moment and she hugs Anna. "We are indeed! Maria might be joining us too. You've succeeded then? Good for you." Of course she doesn't know that, she's just assumed the result was a good one.

Anna didn't seem to mind the hug. She spared one form Adiyah too. She was glad to see they were staying after all, and that they were still in one piece. "Yes, I am Cliath now," she said. "We're going to check out the bane near the wall tonight. Did you run into it again?" And there was one more thing she'd almost forgotten. "Oh, and Gabriel's here. He said he'd like to talk to you," she added to Adiyah.

Adiyah smiled and gave Anna a light hug. It was good to see her again, it felt like even longer than it had actually been, with all that had happened. "Congratulations, and as for the bane good luck. We brushed by it and took care of something it had stirred up."
The thought of the Earth Spirit still made her sad and she frowned briefly. Anna broke the thought with the mention of her having someone to speak to. Her brow furrowed a minute, trying to remember exactly who Gabriel was. "Gabriel?" For a few seconds the name did not register to a face in her mind, so many things had gone on in the interim. Then, as it dawned on her, she grimaced. The ratkin from the tunnel, the one who had been a bit...friendly. "Oh him. Why?" She shrugged, Anna probably didn't know anyway. "Thank you, Anna. Where is he?"

"Yes, it was hurting some other spirits. We ran across an earth elemental that... well, it was angry and hurt, so it lashed out. There might be others like it, I suppose." Yvonne's cheerful mood turns mostly serious, but there's little that can stop her being slightly happy even in the depths of talking about a horrific bane. "I ran across it once before, I had to save Danny from it."

"I left him in the Umbra, near the edge of the bawn. He won't come any closer. I think... well he likes you. Just crush him gently or something."
She couldn't help grin at the whole situation. It hadn't seemed so funny back in the sewer with all the dead children around and the imminent danger of Black Spiral Dancers, but now she could find it fairly amusing.
"Good, we're going to destroy it," she added to Yvonne. "Maybe we'll get to fight together, our pack and yours?"
