"You want me to do what?" Vasara was choking in his beer. "Warwolf of Fenris? Hell, I do what it takes to do that. Well, actually we do. If we get such creature to fight with us, we might pull this off with just two packs as long as we figure out way to get past illusions and quicksand." Vasara was too concerned on behalf of caern. It was not wise to be left weak, as he nowadays really doubted Danny's capabilities of keeping it safe.
"Moot? That would be good idea." Vasara nodded at Saxon. "That would force others to socialize and we could kick some sense to loners. It is halfmoon now, so we could call it for next full-moon. And it would give us time to work the Crab-problems so we could even Call the Hunt then. Even better if we get that Warwolf to participate, on both Moot and the Hunt."
Jona's words sounded really familiar to Vasara and he took another good look at the Bonegnawer. He saw nothing special, but this one seemed to understand things. And this had been first time in Berlin when someone else than Vasara had made that speech. "The illusions... I can't remember what others have seen, but I saw my packmate. Dead one actually, one who died when we caused some havoc at the Hive to distract Spirals from noticing our sneaky helpers who freed imprisoned Cubs." Vasara looked up and raised a silent greeting with his bottle.
"Hey, you two mind helping us out here?" Vasara grinned at Jona and Jessica. He didn't want to mention that both 'gnawers were breathing because Slagbrother came out in time and carried them away, but his look gave him away. "Could you find a way to get past illusions and when you go to caern, let others know that unless others are not in packs and ready to fight when we next time visit there, blood might flow."
"Even a threat like that might be enough to help others to line up. And we can always beat the packless just to motivate them to get together, if only for protection against us." Vasara winked at the 'gnawers. With one eye it looked a bit morbid but Vasara tried to soften the image by grinning widely with a low growl.

"To break it, we need a Theurge who can perform an exorcism," Anna said, basically repeating what she'd heard Cloud-Dancer say. She doubted any Cliath knew how to do that.
She looked at Vasara. "That's what I saw too," she said. "It somehow knew what to show us, as if it was reading our minds." It wasn't a pleasant feeling. She wondered what the others saw when they encountered the bane. "We'll have to travel through East Berlin to get to the war wolf," she continued. "But I did it before, and only the Valkyries were with me. We can do it together."

"That's what we're here for," Jona said. This guy wasn't so bad. Despite the fact that he seemed to have money, he didn't act like a stuck-up prick. Besides, if a Bone-Gnawer agreed to follow him, then he had to have some sense. "We'll deliver your message too," he added. "Once we have found out how to shatter the illusion, we'll contact you. We're staying in town, but we'll probably be hanging around the Caern quite a bit." He looked at the rest of the war pack. "Good luck with the war wolf," he said.
He stood up and looked at Jess, definitely ready to go. They had what they came here for, and there was no need to hold up the warriors any longer. They probably had things to kill.

Jess had been expecting some comment about how the two of them wouldn't manage to avoid being noticed, especially after poking at the locals' failure to notice the Spirals in the first place, so it something of a nice, if mildly unsettling surprise when one doesn't come. She looks around at the other Garou, and decides to come back here when everyone, particularly her, isn't fired up on Rage.
She nods to Jona, and stands to leave. "Yeah, seeya round."

Saxon flipped a bar mat and wrote on the back of it before passing it to Jona. "That is the bars number, just ask for me if you have any problems or need anything."
He smiled, "Anyhow I will probably catch up with you around the caern, been a while since I caught up on the gossip." He turned his head away from Nadya and winked at the two of them. "Been some bins down behind the takeways I have been dying to rumage through for ages. Nice to have some Gnawer company."

If there are no objections, I will move Jona and Jess on to the next day. I'll start a thread up for you at the Caern.

Nadya grins to herself at the thought of beating up the two Silent Strider Cliath and the two mules. Everyone seems to be wrapping up just repeating everything they already know, so she doesn't waste time getting involved when she could be gradually drinking Vasara's vodka.

"I can't imagine any of the guardian spirits were recruited easily, I can only wonder at what debt Walks-with-Death-rhya had to pay them for their help. I know very little about Fenrir's brood myself, but I suppose an offering of our strength to destroy some enemy of his could be well-received." Kamut looks at Anna, and doesn't expect much knowledge of spirits from his other packmates. "What sort of chiminage do you think would be apropriate?"

"If it is a spirit of Fenris, it wants trophy of enemy. Or a good fight." Vasara said as he walked to bar and took handful of beers and carried them to the table. "That is quite elementary on spirits and well, even most garou, of my Tribe." Vasara continued as he opened another beer, saluted the leaving 'gnawers and looked at Anna if she had something to add on subject. "That reminds me, Anna. You think you could work some kind of mumbojumbo here? Maybe to get a spirit or two to watch over this place to make sure we can be here safe?"
"SO we got... less than two weeks to full moon, so we need to start planning on our trek. If we go through the umbra, we might get decent trophies for Warwolf on our way, and we would save ourselves from mundane troubles. But that also means we need to be ready to fight and sneak our way through East Berlin and fast so we don't get grinded down." Vasara stood up and looked Nadezhda's wound. "And we need to be on our top condition when we go."
He checked the wounds carefully, before putting his hand over them and concentrating on healing it. Then he took the nearly half-empty Spirit Brew from his rucksack and drank it to replenish his own, very weak to start with, spirit power. "I think we should leave tomorrow evening after sleeping over day. I want Luna to light our way and I want us to be sharp and rested. Do we have anything that might help us on our way?"
((ooc: use 1 Gnosis on Mothers Touch, drink the once-used Spirit Brew with 2 Gnosis left to fill the Gnosis pool. To help ST on keeping tabs: Every packmember (inc Vasara) should have now one 3-Gnosis Brews, and there is one extra hidden Brew with 1 Gnosis))

Anna nodded although she wasn't quite sure she could pull it off. But she could at least try. The idea of having spirits watching the place, alerting them to the presence of Spirals, would make it much easier to sleep at night.
She thought for a few seconds about Kamut's question. The truth was she had really no idea what chiminage to offer the war wolf. But what he and Vasara had said made a lot of sense, so she took it from there. "Vasara's right," she said. "It is a spirit of war, and the best way to honour him would be to ride fearlessly into battle. On my Rite of Passage, he asked me to fight by his side. We destroyed some banes that were plaguing his den. If we find some taint in the area, destroy its source and bring him its head..." She thought about it for a bit. "We can also cleanse the taint for good measure," she added.

"Would it not be simpler to go through the wall as tourists, whatever and then once we hit the right location cross over. Unless the Spirals are a sleep on the job they are bound to have the Umbra way guarded. And we cannot afford a attrition fight just to get there."
Saxon took a bottle with a nod of thanks as he continued, "Anna, you have a location for this spirit?"

With a little bit of guidance from Bear, Vasara heals Nadya's bleeding wounds, and she is left with a deep ugly scar to remember to the vines' affection by.
Nadya is on full health. Vasara is on full gnosis.

A faint nod is all the thanks Vasara receives, since he'd only be weakening the pack as a whole by not healing her after all. She swigs at the vodka again, ripping the bloody sleeve of her jacket off with her other hand, before shooting down Saxon's suggestion. "That not only requires us to have legal ID, but also to wave it at authority figures. We can't exclude the possibility that we were identified attacking that building." She looks between Saxon and Vasara. "And whether we can pass through or not, that still means our movements are being recorded."

"Obviously I have no identity papers." He shrugs regretfully. "And my face is memorable, there can't be many people in the city that I could be confused with." Kamut looks dubiously at the beer Vasara brings, and doesn't attempt to drink it right away. "If we do attempt passage through the umbra I volunteer to scout ahead of course. So I can give fair warning of any dangers that are beyond us or would wear us down too much to continue."

"And what would a Warwolf think of us if we sneak in hiding in midst of humans?" Vasara asked smiling as he turned away from Nadezhda. Healing a pack-member was not a favor, it was duty, and Vasara completely ignored even the nod. "Anna, I want to know more about this Warwolf. What is he like, what kind of feelings you got from him? Was he old and tired, or still willing to raise his Rage against the Wyrm and Weaver? If you can tell us anything at all, it might help. From even a smallest detail we can get a valid reason for him to join us." Vasara already thought of one. Warwolf had taken help from a Cub against Banes, if things went bad, he could use it to raise Wolf to Rage and then he just needed to find a way to direct the Rage into Duty, or at least in direction that did not involve the Warwolf maiming his whole pack.
"I am sure the Umbra is guarded, but with some luck, good preparation and a battle at right moment in right place might even work for us. We can strike somewhere where they can't intercept us, and where their reinforcements would not come in time. Spirals would know again that they are not safe in the East, and might again fear for their Hive. And if we return with the Warwolf, I doubt their scouts would prove a match against us." It had been too long since Vasara had fought and killed Spirals on the East-side. They had grown cocky and now even attacked kin on the West-side. They needed to be taught a lesson.
Vasara looked at Kamut "Lot depends on you. You must not only look for a good way, but also seek us targets for possible trophies. And besides, you know the drill. If something sees you, just run at us, we know from your expression that should we run or form a line and prepare to fight."
