Anna didn't think Saxon's suggestion was such a bad idea. She didn't know about the files the others had found, so it came as a bit of a surprise when they shot it down.
"I managed to get there without running into any trouble," she said. "But that was soon after the attack on the hive, so they were regrouping, and I probably got lucky." She considered Vasara's question for a while before answering. "The warwolf is fierce, cold, and unwavering," she said. "He still fights savagely, but not thoughtlessly. Actually, he planned our attacks pretty well. The banes had numbers on us, we took them down by luring them away and dividing them. I wouldn't want to be in the shoes of any Spiral who tries to test Checkpoint Charlie if he's guarding it."

What was that song, things could only get better, not here they could not. Saxon looked incredulous, "Your telling me that what half the pack has no ID? That if we had been pulled for say a duff brake light half of us would be in the cells waiting deportation. "
He looked from one to another, "So exactly who has no ID? We need to talk to Danny and get some sorted. Hell all the spirals need to do is phone up the immigration and we could lose half our strength."

Nadya smirks at Kamut. "Yeah, can't be many people in the city with whatever it is you call that thing on the front of your head." She returns her attention to Saxon, and momentarily eases off on the vodka so she's not so drunk she can't think straight. "I've got ID, but I don't like the idea of going through official channels. What about you, girl?" She watches Anna quizzically. Previously Anna's plight had gone unnoticed by Nadya, but it looks like it might actually affect her and the pack in some way. "Are you even living legally now? You don't have a legal guardian."

Kamut blinks at Nadya in response, and is partly curious about why he hasn't been victim of her 'wit' previously. Ignoring her doesn't seem a viable tactic, so he just nods impassively and answers Vasara. "You're right, but I'll do my best not to be noticed."

Hmm she is bad enough sober, now she is drunk she could turn mean, best distract her from Kamut. He smiled and winked at Nadya, "Now Nadya don't think to make me jealous by flirting with Kamut. An't going to work girl, we all know you got it bad for me."
He took out a notepad, "So Kamut and Anna need papers, the rest of us are legit. Not that bad, might skip Danny and go to that flash git, what was his name, Edward. Looked like he had the juice to get you too legit." Saxon took a careful look at his companions, "Hmm legal guardian might have to find some one respectable for that role. No offence to anyone but none of us look like sober respectable citizens."

"And we can't rule out that Spirals have a legal ways to get in, or if they have few kinfolks working as guards to watch if anyone unwanted would be trying to get through. At least my face they know well, I have enough kills against them here for them to know me and for them to want to make sure they know where I go." Vasara said. "Anna's theory of Spirals and mr Crabby having a deal is a good one too, but we really don't KNOW that yet. With Crabby gone and a Guardian of our side at the checkpoint, we rule out Spirals way in through Umbra, but most importantly we give ourselves a way to East."
"Some time ago we found lot's of files on few of us. Some of the information was such info that I still don't know how they knew the shit they did. If we are already under investigation, do we really want to give official records on our travels?" Vasara looked at Anna. Damn, he had already forgotten that she was so young. "Anna don't immediately need a guardian if she gets good enough papers saying she is eighteen." Vasara looked at Anna carefully. She might pass as a young adult a bit late on her growth. "If she gets both ID-card and pass, she should be ok. I think we all need fake papers, just to keep our own names out of the record when we need to be unseen."
Vasara was a bit confused, people had through ages done things without the bureacracy and lived outside the society. They really needed their own histories and names and papers if they wanted to take a loans from banks, on most of the other occations fake papers and identities would do the trick. "By using our own names we put our close ones in danger too, as enemy can trace them through us. Anna's legal guardian would be in constant danger, as I doubt that such court-decisions would be secret."
"Anna can stay lost to human society if she wants, and if someone would stop her to investigate, she would have papers to prove that she is someone else. Unless she's been juvenile criminal, there are no other records linking her to Anna who's been lost but dental records." Vasara looked at Anna. It was about her, so it was her call.
"And anyways, Kamut would have to get fake ones too, so what would prevent us from fudging Anna's date of birth too?"

Those were all questions that had been nagging at Anna for a while now. Vasara's suggestion was tempting. With fake papers she could be legal, and all this talk about adoption and guardianship wouldn't matter anymore. No more kin would be in danger. But then her life as she knew it would be over, and she wasn't sure she was ready for that yet.
"Edward's been working for me to be adopted by Yvonne's father," she said. "He's talked to him, and he's just waiting for me to accept. If I just... disappear, I'll be on the missing persons registry until I'm declared dead. I'll have to drop out of school, and I'll have no access to Simon's will..."
She paused, but finally made a decision. Edward was right. There was too much to lose with just disappearing. She didn't want to end up watching her back all the time, wondering if she was recognised or investigated. Things were getting paranoid enough with her having to live a lie all the time. "Anyway, the adoption will just be for legalities," she said. "I'll only have to keep up appearances that I live there." She looked at Vasara, unsure of what he would think of that decision. She got the feeling that he disapproved of Yvonne almost as much as Yvonne disapproved of him.

Nadya growls at Saxon. "I'd rather eat glass than touch you, faggot. You're just being posessive of him because you want to fuck his cunt face yourself." She swigs on the vodka again, Anna's issues seem to be in hand and there doesn't seem to be much to add to their plans for the next weeks.

Kamut pauses and focuses carefully ahead of himself, momentarily glad of the relatively weak rage of his auspice. After that moment's reflection, he returns his attention to Vasara. "Though if we are capable of passing by through the Umbra, wouldn't it be the better option than being a burden on the Sept?"

With everything sorted, Saxon and Vasara returned to work and the rest of pack agreed to return the following evening, ready for battle.
Let's move on: Spirit Allies

-- After Slagbroeder's return from finding the war wolf --
After letting Aleksi know she's looking for him, Nadya moves to the black room with another glass of vodka. The incendiary ammunition is removed from the shotgungun and the clips and put into her pockets. Then she checks the pistol and it's spare clip over to make sure there isn't a round under the hammer and the mechanism looks to be in full working order. Both are tucked somewhere out of sight from the room's entrance once she's done, just in case.

Vasara closed the door behind him and Ben and said "Few rules first. One, this is our territory. Outsiders are not welcome and if caught here on their own... well, we would get very territorial and mean. Two, don't take this as permanent invitation to come here. Are we clear?"
"Mission went well. Warwolf is on our side and we got few decent scars too. We ran into something weird shit, and that book is part of it. It seemed to manifest as a black sphere on umbra and it seriously wounded Anna and Kamut. There were some weird wyrmhounds too but... Well, the book. We cleansed it and some weird shit happened. It shone in white light on umbra and refilled us spiritually. And when Anna ripped it apart, it reacted violently and she and Kamut were wounded badly. And the book knitted itself back together." Suddenly Vasara hoped Anna would be around. Even explaining the things they saw was quite difficult.

Ben just nodded. If Vasara's attitude bothered him, he didn't show it. "I wouldn't dream of it," he said. "You say the book wounded your packmates?" He paused and frowned as he thought this through. "Did you see anything come out of the book to wound them?" he asked. He looked around and gave Nadya a short Hello before he continued. "Do you have it here?" he asked.

"Sorry, we were busy fighting for our lives, so at least I didn't notice anything. And Anna and Kamut didn't at least mention about seeing anything, they were the closest ones and were hit most viciously." Vasara pointed at the bag he had given to Ben at the public side.
"It is inside there. We cleansed it, but even then we are reluctant to taking it to caern. The Child of Gaia said something about the language of the book but I really didn't pay that much attention. Some Epoch, or Epic. Never heard about it anyways."

Nadya looks up from her vodka at Ben, and the closest he gets to a greeting is a shrug. Since Vasara's with him, she's not going to break him in two and kick him into the gutter. "Must of been really sweet on Anna, since it broke her heart." She grinned.
