The streets, the shops, the gardens, and the departments on the outside.
Today, the whole place is crawling with cops.

So it was a truck Saxon thought as he pulled it into the parking space and switched off the engine. “Yes I can drive.” He had answered Micah with a smile taking the keys and heading out to the vehicle they belonged to.
Cops where milling around, big surprise after what had happened but a nuisance. He watched them for a moment or two, no excitement in them as far as he could see, just routine. “Ok it is your city.” He turned his head to look at Micah, “Your in charge.”

It took some time for Vasara to fetch his old, battered black Harley from Ragnarok's parking area, and little more as he rumbled his way to close proximity of the university. Because Danny was left to guard the caern, he tries to locate the search team, just in case they would need any help. And when you know what you are looking for and the general area where you should find it, it was not that hard to find Eric's truck.
Damn there were lots of cops around here. Need to keep low profile, he thinks as he starts walking around the area, looking around for the boys and concentrating fully to hear possible howls through the noices of people running around on their busy little lives with their important little duties. Little do they know of what lurks in "their" world when the night falls down.

Micah hoped out of the truck as soon as it was safe. Out of everything that human's did, vehicles drove him nuts. Made his head itch like mad...well, beyond it sticking out all over. He looked over at Saxon, then out across the campus.
"Well, I would say fan out...keep your nose aware and try to just blend in. We either need to keep those going in whole, and or find the idiot on that tape thing." He shrugged his shoulders, bare skinned as he was still. Dang...forgot to grab a shirt. Well...was a good way to blend in. He scratched at his chest, moving off towards the smell of a chip vender nearby.
"If you need, call out for backup. Otherwise, keep a sharp eye open for all things odd."

Not too far down the street, Vasara can still see Blake, Anna, and Kaleb as they consider their options. They are within comfortable view in case anything should happen, as is the building they are about to venture into.
The cops seem to be a little preoccupied, in any case, they don't pay much attention to the two bikers snooping around. One or two people give the shirtless Micah a rather puzzled look, as it was quite cold. But I doubt the Lupus noticed, or cared.
Keeping a nose out wasn't much of an option, especially not in homid, with all the smells of the city covering any trail that might have been. However, a little further down the road is another area that's been partly roped off: The Botanic Garden.

Vasara walks in small circles near the university, just trying to look casual as he watches after the trio near the university's entrance. Good thing there are gardens and parks still in Berlin, Vasara thinks as he buys something to munch from the fast-food stand. He walks to nearby small garden and sit down on the bench, keeping his good eye wandering near the universty, watching for any signs of trouble. Then he again tries to focus on listening.
A sharp growl wakes him from his concentration, some damn poodle was apparently offended by his presence, and Vasara gives a young woman on the other end of the leash a casual smile as she tries to pull the poodle away from Vasara, clearly scared that he might do something bad to her or her... dog. Damn poodles, Vasara never was that good with animals. And he shows his teeth and gives a low growl to the dog to scare it away. He really didn't need distracions here.
After the distraction he again focuses on his senses, and checks his cellphone for time. It was good to try and relax a little he thinks as he stretches his legs, and give his garou-metabolism to take care of the rest of his hang over. Also it was good for his bloodpressure that had been a bit... high this morning. He was calm and tolerant by his nature but still had some serious difficulties on hiding his feelings when surprised or agitated.
Oh, no, you don't fall into your thoughts here, he thinks and straightens his back. Need to be vigilant. Vasara looks at his food and moans. Why everything in city needed to be deep-fried and full of chemicals for preservation? Vasara thinks for a while, should he preserve that for Kaleb, 'cause somehow he felt repulsed by the smell and looks of his food, and after knowing Kaleb for a while, he had found out that those traits on food was Kalebs idea of cuisine. And after this mornings breakfast he was quite full already.
Vasara looks around again. On his right the university, on the left that damn poodle still barking and whining at him from the distance.

Keep an eye out for odd, Saxon smiled at that, the oddest thing on the street was Micah wondering around bare topped on a cold night. But he nodded, “No problem.” He walked along the street and then stopped just a nosy bugger enjoying the free entertainment, he watched the others arrive and then began to look around carefully. If I was a Red Talon and I wanted to observe where would I be, especially considering my hatred of man made things?
Eventually his eyes fell on the Botanical gardens, of course where else would a Talon feel at home. Saxon turned and walked over to the fast food seller and purchased a bag of chips. Then happily munching he began to walk to the gardens, just a punter on his way somewhere grabbing a snack. Although his eyes where watchful and then it hit him, prat that he was.
He altered course and ambled up to Vasara, “Want a chip?” he offered the bag as he continued to speak, “I am going to check out the gardens, seems a reasonable place for a Talon to hang. But of course the Talon could be using the Umbra to hide his ass. We might need to check that out as well. You coming?” Saxon smiled and then continued on his way to the gardens.

Micah waited till Saxon had moved on, taking in the whole of the area. Lots of humans, good mix...and a good number of females looking at him in that good way. Day was looking up, now to just find the walking corpse garou then he's get to go home and spend time with his own mates. Mates...he had mates...multiples...what the hell was he thinking?
Had to continue the line though...seriously not enough wolves this side of the big blue to fill a forest, much less where they used to be. Made him downright mad, not a easy task. He scratched at his chest again, that slight bit of fur there was itchy. Why didn't he have more...like his own form? Some men had to much you'd think they were part bear. Might keep him warmer to...naw, nothing better than being his own charming self.
He started doing his duty, giving nods to passing ladies of all ages, charming grins to those that caught his eye. Hey...he was male, wanted to make sure they felt good about themselves, right? Course, his path lead him to the chip vendor...and soon he was walking about munching hot chips and cheese. Not like his nose would help him here. He was just passing within earshot of the others at mention of the umbra idea.
He walked over, casual like, and nodded. "I'll go umbra side, see if I can spot him. Careful goin in there...cops don't like normals goin over crime scenes." He munched a big mouth full of chips as he walked off, trying to finish them off before he found somewhere descrete enough to slip sideways.

Vasara gives a look at the university and then stands up slowly, taking a bite of his lunch. "Yeah, you better check the umbra. Just don't try to be a hero if you find the Talon. We don't know how many scars it has on it's hide yet." Vasara says to Micah. How did that lupus end up as such a gigolo, he wonders. "Well, it will have few more after we find it."
Vasara nods to Saxon and starts to walk with him toward the Botanic Gardens. That was a logical place to start looking for Talon. And Stepping Sideways always had been a bit difficult to Vasara, so he was kind of stuck here right now. Come to think of it, spirit world often made him a bit nervous. Not afraid, just respectful, and plain nervous.
Vasara stops near the entrance of the Gardens and looks around for cops. One more look at the university, and Vasara assures himself that the team investigating the university is fully capable of taking care of themselves. Then he starts to walk toward the entrance, munching his junk-food casually, good eye darting from side to side to spot possible threats, or anyone who might be interested on stopping them.

As Vasara throws another look their way, Kaleb, Anna and Blake disappear into a nearby building.
Micah heads off for a place to step sideways, but with cops everywhere it is a little difficult. It looks like he's going to end up having to find a bathroom too.
Vasara and Saxon walk towards the Gardens, and before long run across another crime scene. Whatever it is that was here has been cleaned up, but traces of blood stain the grass and some of the nearby plants. The cops have roped it off and they throw a curious at the two of them as they approach.

“Looks a tad nasty.” Saxon commented as he walked past speaking in German as roost the foreigner was often a game for bored cops. He carried on walking until they where past the cops.
His eyes swept the area checking they where a bit away from people. The speaking softly to Vasara, “Talon leaves the university heading for the park and some poor mug gets in the way and gets whacked? Maybe that is what happened?”
He munched on a chip. “And if it is, next question is I am a pissed off Talon alone in this foul place, where would I head for in the park?”

Vasara walks past the scene with Saxon giving a curious look at the blood stains, then shrugs his shoulders in "whatever, not my problem"-manner when he notices the cops are looking, trying to look like berliner who don't want to have anything to do with things like these. "That surely looks bad." Vasara takes another bite on his lunch.
When they are well past the scene he answers to Saxon "Sounds right, Talon runs out of university and is drawn to this place, then rips apart ANOTHER innocent bystander and keeps running..." Vasara looks carefully around for a place where there are lots of trees and vegetation, but still away from main routes where people tend to walk in the park "...maybe there... or there..." Vasara points at two different places that could hide a Talon "...one way to find out..." he starts to walk toward closest of the bushes and trees, then suddenly stops.
"Damn it. If the Talon is still here and we jump on it here, at this hour, it might put up some real fight. Right in front of people. That would help only to rend the Veil some more."
Vasara looks at Saxon and says "I have an idea, if anyone asks, we are looking for my dog here that ran away." Vasara starts to grin as he makes sure there are no-one close enough to witness too closely what he is about to do.
Vasara let's out a snarling howl, as quiet as possible, but loud enough to be heard in bushes, stating on garou language that the intruder has Pierced the Veil and is on Pack's Territory now. He also tries to make sure that they want to know why that happened.
Then he keeps silence, trying to listen if anyone is willing to answer, keeping his eye open and fighting back the urge to shift in form that is more suitable if the Talon decides that there is nothing left to say and attacks.

Micah ends up having to dunk into the bathroom, having found no other place to slip sideways out of sight. After a quick check of stalls to make sure he was alone, he pulled back hair from his eye's and looked into the mirror. He was waisting time this side...lets see if the blighter was flip side.
He steps through to the umbra, then holds position. Carefully he looks about, taking in surrourndings before heading off...course now though he shifts to wolf form. Easier to sniff out a stinking spiral this way.

Micah's entrance into the Umbra is met by a howl off in the distance. A few seconds later another one responds. Neither of the howls sound familiar. It isn't one of the packmates, and it definitely isn't his father. On the Spiritual side of the gauntlet, things look peaceful enough. There is no sign of the gruesome scene here.
Back in the physical world, Vasara's howl is met by a rustling in the bushes. But then it goes quiet. Before either Saxon or Vasara can do much, however, they are approached by one of the Crime Scene Investigators. "I'm going to have to ask you to leave the area," he says, looking up at Saxon. "This is a Crime Scene." He flashes an impressive-looking badge and looks at them expectantly.

Micah's face splits into a feral grin that is just to close to a snarl. Jackpot. He takes a few sniffs, stealthy like, then decides it best to get the boy's first. Hate to be smished before his pack found out. As silent as his enterance, Micah shifts back out of the umbra and back into the bathroom, shifting to homid as he did.
Shit...should have done that before, but oh well. They had prey. He ran out of the bathroom, heading to where they had to have gone off. Wait...supposed to be stealthy. Micah slows down, moving with long legs quickly as he sought out his pack mates. The grin on his face probably keeping most people at bay. It had been a while since his last good battle...red talons were awsome to fight. He started whistling a tune, something about bloody bits going flying he'd heard his pa hum himself at times.
