What now, play the part of the dumb Englishman abroad and talk slowly in English or just move on. There was a rustling in the bushes so it could be the Talon or it could be a dog. If it was the Talon then it could decide to come charging out and kiss goodbye to the veil.
“I am sorry officer, just we where looking for my friends dog and the park seemed the kind of place it would go. None of your officers have seen a large dog wandering about the pack have they?”
Saxon took a careful note as he spoke of just exactly where he was. If the copper told him on your bike then they would have to circle around and come through the park back here. Of course the Talon could have moved on by then, but nothing in life is certain.

Vasara looks irritated. Again. If that fool just knew how close he is to die if Talon is still here, still on the right mood or just plain scared. Vasara makes sure he can find this place again if they need to get going.
"I am really sorry sir for trouble but you don't want one big-ass furball to mess all your evidence here, don't you? If we just can find it or be sure it is not here we will be on our way immediately? It's a wolfhound, really likes the parks and woodlands, in case you have seen it?" Vasara says trying to be as convincing as he can, keeping things he say as close to truth as he could, never really liked liars.
"Really nice little pooch, only needs some... obedience training still." Vasara gives a quick look at Saxon, then looks straight at the officer, pleading look at his good eye. Just please go away, he thinks, if Talon is here you may not see another day...

The cop fixed both men with what he apparently thought was a sinister glare. He considered things, and then nodded.
"Fine, get your dog, but no loitering," he said importantly. He looked a bit young to be an actual cop, more like a rookie who's trying to sound impressive. He walks away and starts talking in a low voice to one of his superios, casting furtive glances at both Vasara and Saxon as he does. But at least he leaves them in peace for now.

Micah watches the interchange from outside...huh, not a good idea boys. He looks about, but just no time to be less than obvious here. Not like the problem was on this side anyway...yet. He whistled sharply, then after he got the other two's attention, motions them over. He'd found them...or at least non-locals. Either way they needed finding out.

Vasara clears his throat as he prepares to keep quietly chatting in garou language to make sure if the Talon is here or not. A sharp whistle interrupts him and he looks furiously at Micah.
"Now what?" Vasara stares at Micah "I ain't no dog you can whistle and expect me to run around."
How can a simple searching mission be so difficult today, he thinks, and you can whistle to a dog, but not to a wolf. He really struggles to prevent himself to start shouting in front of cops.
"Trust you found something?" Vasara snarls.

Micah gives him a look, like what are you talking about. "Emm...no, needed your attention. Found more than one flip side." He pushed hair out of his eye's again, stretching out his back. "Unless of course, you'd prefer to wait. Sounded like they were hunting maybe...but I heard two of them."
He was a good scout...where was his damned cookie? Yea, instead he gets a ticked off Get. Bah. His face reflects nothing other than his regular almost smile. Not challenging...no, he's wait for downtime for that. Always fun...poke poke and fooooom, fuzzy Get to play with. But now was not the time.

“Shall we leave the annoyance until later.” Saxon remarked quietly as he watched the cops. Gone back to chatting but the time they had bought was limited. He gave Micah a considering look. “Two in the Umbra, hunting or maybe searching for the other one? A rogue maybe I cannot see even Talons being happy at breaking the Veil.”
He considered, “Ok if you would go back and watch them, if they get too close let us know. Vasara, lets go see if we have a Talon in the bush, although the cops being close is going to make it interesting.” Which was an understatement, but then again who ever said life was easy. Saxon moved his angle of movement slightly increasing the distance between him and Vasara, if the Talon attacked best it had to turn its back on one of them.

"We will check this place first, can't take the change that the Talon is still here and those cops find it. Then we'll hit the umbra in force and find out what the hell is going on over there." Vasara turns with Saxon to keep searching the bushes.
Just before he starts walking he looks at Micah again and says "Good work you're doing." with a tone that made clear that he meaned it. "You can either help us here to scan this area or go ahead in the umbra and keep your senses sharp there if there is any more howling to be heard?"
Vasara starts moving toward the bushes again, staying very alert. When close enough, he starts to quietly speak on garou language "Come with us. We'll show you way out." Vasara looks at Saxon and adjusts his own position so they can support each other if things start to get serious. And then he slowly and carefully pushes the vegetation that prevents him seeing inside out of his way.
If there were no cops around he would have been searching in wolf-form, trusting his sense of smell rather than stick his head into unknown, but hey, that would be a perfect world, and even before his First Change he had known that this was not such a place.
And he couldn't let anyone else to do this either, other Tribes tend to break a bit easier than Fenrir.

Micah nodded to Saxon, watching the one go wander off. That is kinda what he figured he'd be doing. Can't have to many out here searching after all. Just ...yea, he looked at Vasara with a careful eye. Nope...he was just to...Get to be considered anything but harmless. Cops won't like it. A small smirk formed, all play and dark things...which he quickly focused on a nearby lady that desirved it. Can't do to poke...bad puppy.
He nodded to Vasara. "Yea...was figuring I'd keep a ear on those other two. I'll keep low, but if it hits it I'll try leading them off first. If that don't work, I'll find you both. Either way...yea, might be a stray. Hard to say...see, even with the litany, most of us Lupus just don't think regular." He shrugged. "We are just...instinct run. Red Talons even more so."
With that, he went back to the bathroom. However, this time he just didn't give two shits on no shifting this side. He checked once again...twice even to assure it was empty. Then shifted to the war wolf form before stepping into the umbra.

As Vasara approaches the bush, he is met by a white cat that jumps out scaredly and takes off running. Quick as is is, Vasara and Saxon can still notice that its paws are drenched in blood, leaving tiny red marks on the grass as it goes. It's also carrying something red in its mouth. Furthermore, the closer they get to the bush the more it starts to reek of death.
Moving Micah to the Umbra. Start a thread there.

If life was sweet the Talon would have ripped out its own throat but of course life never was sweet. Saxon had a nasty suspicion that they would be finding some poor passer-by. And of course that meant that they would have to call the cops over and get involved with them.
If they could have gone to wolf then they could find out so much more, but as it was they where confined to their human forms and the stunted sense of smell. He looked at Vasara and with his finger pointed at the bush and shrugged, then made a circling motion and shrugged again. It was Vasara’s call, straight into the bush or circle round and see what they could trap.

"This doesn't look good. You smell that too?" Vasara whispers, shakes his head and looks at the bushes, having a bad gut-feeling about what they will find there. Then he nods to Saxon and starts to circle from the left to keep his good eye in the bush, making a quick look around to see what the cops are doing and where they are positioned.
"With this bodycount, that Talon could create an unhealthy interest on human flesh. No time to waste." he says under his breath to Saxon.
Then he takes a deep breath and goes around the bush, closing in fast from behind to see what lurks there... or has died there.

Vasara and Saxon's investigation took them a little further away from the crime scene the cops had roped off. But even here the young cop was watching them intently and curiously. They finally reached it; it was the professor's, Dr. Brunner's, body, or rather what was left of it. They could tell because he still had his swipe card hung around his neck and his name printed on it. In his cold deads hands he still clutched a notebook, and a baseball cap with the word "Martin" written across it. It was obvious why the cops hadn't found this one. Whoever had killed him had apparently taken the time to drag the body and actively hide it in the bush.
"You boys alright over there? Found your mutt yet?"the cop called over to them.

Crap, was Saxon’s first thought, now what they do especially with the cop paying attention. Of course the natural reaction of a concerned citizen would be to call the cops over. And if they did not they would look very suspect indeed. But first he said in a loud voice, “Vasara I think I saw your dog over there.” No need for both of them to get stuck with the cops and then Saxon squatted down in the bushes and making sure that what he did could not be seen he took the notebook and stashed it inside his jacket. Then he stood and said in a loud voice, “Officer there is a body in this bush.”

Vasara was already almost taking the notes himself, but then the damn cop ruined things again. He looks at Saxon before leaving the scene to look for his "dog" in the direction Saxon looked.
"Give me the notes. It's better you don't carry them if they decide to become difficult." he whispers as he sees Saxon confiscating them. "I keep searching here if they allow us to stay here, if not, we will meet where you left the car."
