Saxon nodded, that made sense, so he turned and with his back to the cops passed the notes over to Vasara. Then he moved away from the body as if disturbed by it, not that he was but again he was trying to act like just an ordinary citizen.

The cop approached, looking suspiciously at the two "civilians", until of course he saw the body himself.
"We've got another body over here, officer," he called over to his superior. "Well now, we can't have civilians trampling all over the evidence." He ushered Vasara off. "Did you touch anything?" he asked. Pretty soon there wasn't much chance for Vasara to investigate much more. The cops were all over the body now, and he had no choice but to leave the crime scene.

Vasara walks to the parking area and hops on his bike, but doesn't kick the engine on. He just sits there for a moment, thinking the situation over, padding the bike unconsciously, wondering what those at the university had found out. Then his thoughts wandered back to park, if they just could have been searching as wolves, not humans...
Then Micah popped in his head. They should get after him next. Idea of umbra caused some discomfort on him, but he forced the feeling away. Sure, he had broke a few mirrors in the past when trying to Reach the Otherside, never being the most spiritual garou around, and even on a good day it could take few minutes of intense staring to get through. But well, Micah had said that if he finds anything, he'll find them, so Vasara didn't rush anywhere. Yet.
Well, he had at least few minutes of waiting until cops had taken Saxons statements so he decides to do something usefull instead of fattening his ass on saddle. He takes his helmet in front of him and opens the notes inside it to keep them out of peoples sight, quickly scanning it back and forth with his good eye for what the professor had been making notes for.

“Touch anything officer?” Saxon tried to look as if he was trying to remember, “I don’t think so, no I did, sorry. I went down and I reached out to see if the poor buggar was actually still alive. Stupid of me considering the state of the body I know, but one always has hope of life.”
Saxon looked at the cop, “I know I have never seen him before if that is off any use?”

It was probably the accent that gave it away, but the cop looked at Saxon even more suspiciously and asked: "Are you foreign?" It took them another full half hour to ask questions, get Saxon's papers, contact details, and warn him about this and that, so that when he finally got away from the cops Vasara had already gotten himself a good look at the notebook. Most of it seemed to consist of a bunch of words that Vasara had never seen before, but were various medical terms for medications. At the bottom was scribbled: None of it works. Martin grows more agitated and violent. Kevin jokes about the Full Moon approaching. If I wasn't a man of science I'd have to believe him.
As Vasara goes further back, he can see these are the doctor's quick notes. Not exactly his full log, but the first draft of those. On the first page is a list of words 'Martin' has learned with some dates, a list of human foods he has learned to eat, and so on.
On the very last page is a phone number, with a note underneath it: Paranormal consultant.

"This is just great... We are after a mere cub that has been on hands a scientist..." Vasara sighs and takes another look at the medication list that this "Martin" has been on. "Shit..." Vasara has a strange mixed feeling inside his gut. One part of him would love to enter the university and burn it down with the Rage he's feeling against the ignorant Professor. Other part of him feels deep shame on his own feelings on this Cub, after all he was going to find this poor Cub and beat some serious respect of Litany on him.
Paranormal consultant, eh? Well that is a way to continue investigations, it is likely this professor has told that one something what can help the Pack to know what has really been happening.
Then he felt complete empty. Micah was in the Umbra now, hunting that poor bastard down. There was going to be some serious re-education if they catch the Cub alive, but the notes made it quite clear that this "Martin" was a lupus. That would leave this re-programming job to him as a Philodox ...or maybe Micah. That would be better, after all, Micah was lupus himself, Vasara reasons.
But first they need to get a word to Micah that the Cub is not an enemy, but just another victim, mistreated Cub who's now very vulnerable to corruption.
Vasara looks around for Saxon. Should arrive at any minute now. Then they really need to start moving.

Yes sir, no sir, three bags full Saxon thought as the cop grilled him and of course as soon as they knew that they had a foreigner it was show papers time. But the cops could always give you more grief than you them so he smiled and acted respectful so in the end they let him go.
Walking over to Vasara, “Gah that was fun, find anything useful in that notebook?”

"Heh, bet you did have some fun times there." a short-lived smile crosses Vasaras face "...but this shit is bad..." Vasara pads the notebooks cover with his finger.
"It looks like that our target is just a Cub, and that professor Brunner there tried to tame him and maybe prevent his First Change. With drugs and..." Vasara tries to find a words for a moment "...human education. He was trying to teach the lupus cub to become a human. Even calling him with human name, Martin, teaching him human words and to eat human food." Vasara shakes his head, then loses himself again in his thoughts for a few seconds.
"We need to get these notes to caern, maybe Jan can make some sense out of these papers..." then he punches the gastank with his fist "...but we also need to get that information to Micah too."
"We get into umbra first." Vasara decides to trust his gutfeeling and makes the decision, talking with authority in his voice "There's no much use of these papers if Micah finds that Cub and the Cub decides to put up a fight, ending up dead." Vasara gets off the Harley and starts to look for place to go and Reach to the Otherside.

“So we are dealing with a first changer, wonderful, some poor kid who has not got a clue what he has turned into. Scared, and angry a great combination.” Saxon sighed, first change was bad enough when there where people who had told you about it and where there to help you deal with it. Doing it cold really sucked and in a place like that where you where just a lab rat, doubled sucks.
As they looked for a place Saxon commented, “You think then that the Talons are on the same mission as us, find the kid and bring him back to the pack?”

"Don't know about that." Vasara walks a while searching a place were to go to the umbra "...but we will find out quite soon, I think..."
There, narrow alley with trashcans. That would have to do it. Vasara looks at Saxon, nods at the direction of alley and starts walking there. "I think we can't use local cafeterias or anything like that. Guys looking like us getting in at this time of day, busting into bathroom and never coming out could raise some eyebrows." Vasara smiles as he walks to the alley, starting to check that there is no-one to notice their disappearance from mundane world.
"So, what's your story?" Vasara asks as he scans the alley.

“My story, an epic that the Gillards sing across the land.” Saxon replied with a smile, “As if. No I was brought up on a council estate, parents where kin to the local Bonegnawer Sept. Liked to fight, parents had a parking space at the school I was in trouble so much. Then the Sept stepped in, gave me to a elder Ahroun, taught me fight and to take orders, mainly with the back of his hand, but I needed it.”
He checked the area for observers, “Always did have a wanderlust so I got my heavy goods licence and I roam the highways and byways of Europe hauling anything and everything. Not a bad life in a way, no hassle or worries but sometimes I wonder if it is time to settle down.” He glanced at Vasara, “So what’s yours?”

"Can't argue with that. Done mine own time on the road too." Vasara sits down and takes his Leatherman-multitool from his pocket and starts to clean it so he could use the small blade of it as a mirror.
"Me? Nowadays I try to be useful to Gaia, I've been a royal pain in the ass mainly in the past, but I think I have paid for some of my stupidity." he pads his missing eye "This is not a battlescar, Danny earned his Scar, losing his eye in battle against a hulking Black Spiral Dancer. I earned this by being wasted and testing the limits of my driving skills. No Glory in that." There, he could see reflection of his good eye barely in the blade.
"Enough chatting." Vasara says with angry tone, mad at himself, again losing time by being a chatterbox "We have things to do here and can keep blabbering after this little problem is dealt with."
Vasara tries to focus and Reach the Otherside, really struggling his way through the Gauntlet.

With some difficulty, Vasara manages to tear through the gauntlet and reach the Umbra. Saxon also steps through a short time later.Continued here

The real world always felt more solid, walking produced a satisfying noise on the pavement as he stepped from the gauntlet. A quick 360 to make sure that his popping out of thin air had gone unnoticed. “Right lets try this number, think anyone will be there or just an answering machine.”

As it was starting to get dark, the number of cops at the University was starting to dwindle. Most reporters and spectators had lost interest by now too, so all three were able to step sideways without being noticed.
"I'll head to the Caern, I'll call you from there." Micah said and headed off in the direction of the Caern. "I'll let you know what the others have dug up."
