Set in rather high class neighbourhood in Berlin. From the outside, the Caern looks like a private library.

Right---moving on along here---
It was not long after some children left the library that Eve closed the door, locked it and flipped the "Closed" sign so it was obvious that it was just that.
Turning off the lights to the library she listened to the sounds of the library for one moment and then satisfied, she went to the back door and exited out of it, locking it behind her.
Heading to her Jaguar, she pressed the remote that unlocked it and headed home.

Simoen pulled up outside the building, looking it over, as he carefully parked his bike. A library huh? Well he had seen many different things since his feet first stepped on a road. Once the bike was secure, he headed on up the stairs.

When he reaches the stairs, Simeon is almost run over by an overexcited young man who came running up to the front door.
Jan Stolz was, as usual, out of breath. "Hey, sorry man... didn't see you there." If Jan had been looking he would have seen him very well. Simeon wasn't exactly hard to miss. But Jan had been preoccuppied as usual.
He rang the doorbell (he hadn't been given a key himself, probably owing to the fact that he would have lost it by now) and watched Simeon. "You know, the library's been closed to the public for years," he said in passing. "You looking for someone?"

Simeon gave the young man a once over, before nodding. "Looking to connect with some 'kin' in the area. This place 'felt' like the best place to start. " Tilting his head slightly he further commented "If it's closed, what brings you here?"
He figured the young man to be Kin of some sort, but out here in the public eye was hardly the time and place to play 20 questions. Hopefully he would pick up on the wording Simeon had used.
It just made things stranger and stranger, first the howl, and then no other Garou about the caern? He had to wonder what was going on at the moment.

"Me? Oh, my sister-in-law owns this place," he shrugged. "I check up on it every now and then..."
Jan was apparently a talkative guy. He was about to comment on Simeon's wording, when the door opened and a tall man with long wild hair and a patch over his left eye stood in the doorway. Jan seemed to know him, because he grinned and said:
"Hi Danny. Oh, this is..." he looked at Simeon, remembering that he didn't know who he was. "What's your name again?"
Jan looked around outside. Vasara's bike was gone and Eric's truck was missing too. "Where're the others? I got news."

Simeon looked at Jan "Simeon Richards. I am here looking for kin if not people with similar interest as mine." He sniffed slightly as he looked at the man in front of him, before dropping his gaze slightly. He was sure he was Garou, and if so, best to not accidentally issue challenge.
"This place looked like a 'good' choice to begin looking." as he waved his hand towards the building behind Danny.

Danny nodded at Simeon, picking up the hint faster than Jan, but then he was more experienced in spotting Garou than the young kinfolk. He gave Simeon a long look and then opened the door a little wider.
"Come in," he said. "Call me Danny. For now, I'm the ranking Garou on the Caern, which doesn't say much as it's quite a young Caern in itself."
He quickly shut the door behind Simeon and Jan, and led them both inside. He looked at Jan. "The others have gone to look into the disturbance at the University," he said simply, not wanting to give too much away since he didn't know this stranger at all. Although it was usually comforting when they didn't carry taint, it wasn't a decisive test.
"What brings you to Germany then?" he asked, having noticed from his broken German that the young man wasn't native.

Switching to the Garou tongue, once they were inside. "I am traveling with a carny of Gypsy Rom, some are Kin to my tribe, I am Simeon, Silent Strider gallaird." And he inclined his head in greeting. "I and my Niece are traveling with them for now, looking for a place that needs us. And if you caern is new, maybe that place is here. If you would have us."
He frowned, Disturbance?" He wondered about that howl he had heard. Tilting his head to one side. " Is there any in the umbra at the moment? I went there to send forth my greeting, since a howl in the city may have been disturbing. I was answered. But the call came from a different direction than the caern itself."

Danny threw a glance at Jan, but switched to the Garou tongue too. He'd just have to explain to the boy later.
"Gypsy Rom? Here?" he said, smiling. "May well be some of my kin out there too, but with the way they're scattered, it's hard to tell."
He stared at the young man for a little longer. "I have met a lot of Striders on my travels, and none of them stayed in one place long. I'm a bit of an exception there. I've been here over a year. The city needs us, it needs all Garou that are willing to risk their lives to return it to Gaia..."
He frowned, thinking about the howls. Vasara's pack might have been in the Umbra, but they knew better than to greet a stranger without checking him out. Especially in these dangerous times. "I doubt it was any of the lads... How many were they?" he said uneasily. "We pushed some Black Spiral Dancers further Eastwards last year... We still run into a good number of them, but few advertise their presence like that."
Jan, meanwhile, looked from one Garou to another. He understood nothing of what was being said, but he still felt like he was standing in the presence of greatness, and that alone put a big grin on his face.

An all too familiar jaguar pulled up to the caern, parking in the caern's little driveway. Eva cut off the engine and walked around to the other side, helping Stefan out of the car, grabbing the papers off the passenger side seat. She smiled to Danny, glancing over the other visitor, she had never seen him before. Instictivly her eyes narrowed, and she cluthched the papers to her chest firmly, her hand grasp tightening on little Stefan.
She looked to Danny and apologized interrupting him quietly. "We need to talk, very important things to discuss--the library." She smiled, and nodded her head to the visitor, keeping her hand wrapped around Stefan tightly.

"I was answered by two.." he wold have said more, but the woman had just entered, and it seemed she had business with Danny. He smiled and nodded in greeting. "I can wait...it seems you have pressing business."
The woman reminded him of his grandmother, all business like, and used to be listened to 'right here and now"

Jan put a hand on his young nephew's shoulder and steered him towards the bookcases.
"C'mon kid, let's leave the grown-ups to talk," he walked the boy off to children's section. The books there were somewhat old, but still readable. "What'll it be, pirates, spaceships, werewolves? You name it."
He kept an ear on the conversation that was going on between the 'grown-ups'. He was curious about it just the same.

Danny looked at Eva curiously and then at Simeon. He thought it over, but decided it would be best to show some trust for now. The man was a Strider after all. He sat down at the wooden table and indicated a couple of chairs for the other two to join him.
"It would be best if you heard this too," he said to Simeon in English. Then he looked at Eva reassuringly and switched to German again: "It is ok, Simeon is Garou, and of my tribe. I will explain to him."

Eva watched Jan for a second as he dissapeared with Stefan, and then looked over Simeon as Danny introduced him to her. She narrowed her eyes for a moment and then nodded her head in agreement. She talked rather hurridly and in quick german, it was precise and she had hoped Danny had no trouble following her words. "Jan hat mich gebeten, einen Polizeibericht zu erhalten." She slid the paper work over to Danny, smiling to Simeon every now and then between the conversation. "Es ist brutal... " She shook her head and one could not help but see all the blood on the photographs and words sticking out like: 'claws, bloody, Body parts.' OOC: Jan asked me to obtain a police report. It's brual. Is the german text...
