Cloud-Dancer bit back the rage with a primal snarl at the scrag and swung Medraut furiously at the scrag. She tried not to get distracted by the wailing sound. If it was another bane to kill, it would have to wait until she had dealt with the scrag.

Somehow, between barking arrogant remarks and trying to bite at a scrag, Erik got his tongue in the way. He didn't quite manage to bite his tongue right off, but he did put a couple of teeth through it and his mouth filled with his own blood. Fortunately in the heat of the moment this fact only registered in his mind a few seconds after he'd ripped a piece out of both of the scrags. A moment later, despite the difficulty of shooting into the melee and the darkness of night, Hands-of-Mercy embedded an arrow in Erik's scrag and it toppled over. The other scrag was torn to shreds as Erik's bite was shortly followed by Cloud-Dancer's axe, rendering it's body to a messy pulp, and the newcomer's sword came in last to lop it's ugly fanged head off.
The sabretooth tiger turned on Cloud-Dancer, Erik, Hands-of-Mercy and Katrine and growled fiercely. Though it was a threatening sight, they could all see the powerful spirit was almost done for with the deep wounds all over it's body.
Erik's got a big hole in his tongue and causes himself a level of agg damage, until it heals he's going to have a bit of trouble speaking, he does get a point of rage back for that though That's what you get for talking, biting and botching all at once
Katrine has 1 rage, 4 will Erik has 2 rage, 3 will Hands has 3 rage, 2 will Cloud-Dancer has 0 rage, 4 gnosis, 5 will

Hands of Mercy quickly notches another arrow and keeps the bow ready, though not currently pointed at any specific target. For now he scans the area, watching for any ambush while he waits for the newcomer to be identified and the guardian to calm enough to be approached.

The combat now over, Erik hocks a large glob of blood onto the mangled remains of one of the scrags.
"Theach you thoo thuck with me," He lisps, adding a kick for good measure, "Thucker."
He looks around at Cloudy and Hands, then spots the newcomer.
"Who the thuck are you?" He growls, his maw a mess of scrag-juice and his own blood.
Sure, he may sound like Sylvester the cat, but the look in his eyes seems to be daring someone to say something about it.

Catching her breath, Katrine figured that it might be better all around, if she introduced herself, even if shortly. She exposed her throat in front of the woman with the axe “I do not challenge your authority or station, I am Katrine Many-Shadows, Rotagar and child of Fenris, if you so will it, I will join your cause and aid in helping the wounded Saber-Tooth, ancestor of all cats.” Details for formalities could follow later, at a better time. The grey furred Crinos wolf spoke her words slowly and calm, this mouth was not meant for high speeches and normally she left those to the Galliards

Cloud-Dancer lowered her axe and threw a glance at the stranger, and gave her a nod of acknowledgement. Further questions would have to wait a moment longer.
"Guardian of the Gate," she said to the Sabre-Toothed Tiger. "I am Cloud-Dancer, Fenrir Adren. We are children of Owl's Caern. Walks-with-Death has sent us to your aid. Tell us, what happened here."

The sabretooth continued to growl through the exchange between Katrine and Erik, but the growl trailed off as Cloud-Dancer thought to actually talk to it. After a moment's silent observation of her, the spirit spoke up. It managed to form human words, but every one sounded like another growl approximately twisted into the sound of a word. "Walks-with-Death sent you at a good time. Many more wyrm creatures and I might of had to resort to fighting from the shadows. I am known as Stonetooth." It's never easy to tell the motivations of spirits, but it seemed unlikely that it was posturing. They could only guess at how many banes it took to harm it so seriously, if the sabretooth was as powerful as it suggested. "Wyrm-hounds came early this morning, from our side of the wall. They attacked the spirits of the park, and required me to leave my post unguarded to protect them. The wyrm did not hesitate in sending more through the gate, scrags have been testing me all through the day. More will likely come soon."

Since it was clear as daylight that Cloud-Dancer our-ranked her and this was not her turf, Katrine found it best just to fall in line and listen, Stonetooth appeared to be some sort of guardian and she been right about there being more nasties out there. As for Erik, he could be ignored and that fact that he sounded like a retard with the wound in his tongue, made the perfect excuse not to listen to his crap and till she gotten proof that he out-ranked her or in other ways demanded her respect, she was not going to just roll over and take it. She did not sheath Tyrfing or revert to homid form, they could still be surprised

Hands of Mercy similarly continued to watch and wait for Cloud Dancer's lead, or a further attack.

Cloud-Dancer nodded to Katrine, acknowledging her offer to help. "We welcome your sword, Many-Shadows," she said.
"Then you have our weapons at your aid, Stonetooth, Grandfather of Cats," she said. She might not be a Theurge, but at least she knew enough to know to address the Spirits with the reverence they deserved, especially such a great spirit who was doing them a service by guarding the wall.
"Tell us what we need to do," she added. She was not sure that Stonetooth could hold out much longer if more enemies came, but she let him make the decision if he wanted them to take his place while he healed.

Erik keeps an eye on the newcomer. Not only had she stolen his kill, but now she had ignored him.
Yet another Fenrir in need of a lesson or two in the superiority of Erik Prützmann.
But, now was not the place.
He listens to the conversation between Cloudy and the guardian, but doesn't chime-in. Dealing with spirits was never his forte, he always seemed to do or say something they took offence to. Come to think of it, Erik seemed to have that effect on non-spirits, too.

"The park needs to be scoured for any remaining banes and the gate needs to be secured to stop any more entering." It looked around at the four of them, but all it saw was four Garou, so it returned it's attention to Cloud-Dancer. "Split up as you see fit while I recover my strength. If any of you are able, an offering of your own essence would speed my recovery."

Hands of Mercy steps forward towards, bow and arrow held in his left hand as he holds his right forward, palm up. "I can offer you some, Guardian."

Cloud-Dancer stepped forward towards the Guardian. "I offer you mine too, Guardian of the Gate," she said. Once she had offered some of her own spirit to the sabre-toothed tiger, she turned back to the trio of Cliath. She didn't ask the younger homids to do the same.
"Many Shadows, stay with me," she said. She didn't know the girl yet, although she still wasn't fully sure she could trust the other two not to kill each other. "Hands of Mercy, go with Erik and secure the park."
She looked at Erik. "How's your tongue," she asked. "Howl if you get into more trouble than you can handle."

Although Erik didn't have the most essence to offer the spirit, he gives what he can, before giving a nod and half-smile to Cloudy and motioning to Hands of Mercy.
"C'mon, bud," He says to the skald, his tongue still two-sizes too big for his mouth, "Let's cleanse the fuck outta this place."
With that, he slinks-off into the park, on the lookout for trouble.
