The pack met back at Ragnarok the next day, at Vasara's request. Night was the best time to travel the Umbra, and as they had decided that was the route they were going to take, they were travelling light, carrying only what they had dedicated.
Luckily, it was a calm night, cold but clear, and hopefully the weather would hold for their journey to find the Warwolf of Fenris.

Vasara looked at everyone present. "We take a tour at caern, then head off. Other's better know that we are not around so they don't get killed by doing something stupid and expecting us to come and save them." Vasara cracked his knuckles, if the packing was not going on too well, they could also rough people up.
"If we run into loners at the caern, we will teach them the hard way why it is vital to have people watching your back. Just make sure the point goes through and don't kill anyone. Unless of course if they go berserk, then go by instinct."
Vasara grinned with his bloodthirsty smile. It was a night of the half moon, and he felt like a young cub again. "About Warwolf, feel free to speak out your thoughts. I am not fluent with spirits, so we need a gameplan there."

"If we are passing by the Caern, we could ask Cloud-Dancer-rhya," Anna suggested. She usually would have suggested they ask Danny, but there seemed to be some bad blood since the last encounter. "She does seem to know quite a bit about Spirits and Rites, maybe she has some insight." The Sept had no elder Theurges, unfortunately, but that hadn't been a problem before. Neither Danny nor Cloud-Dancer seemed particularly clueless when it came to the Spirit World.

"Sounds reasonable Anna." Saxon commented as he walked up to join them. He stretched, "Remember we are in and we are out, we cannot afford to get bogged down in just fighting. " He grinned, "Fun as that is, it is not the objective."
He patted his various pockets checking he had his toys, sock with rolls of coins in, lighter and lighter fuel, Swiss army knife etc. One never knew when stuff would come in handy.

Nadya, since she's prepared for a long trip in the umbra, is unusually unarmed thanks to her general lack of spiritual strength. Not that she's especially attached to her guns, they just make killing even easier. "Well if you pull your weight better in a fight it wont last as long." She grins, even she had been impressed with the way he'd ripped apart that pattern spider in two hits. But she just has a feeling he could of fought even harder.

"I would normally scout a few hundred metres ahead." Kamut is dressed plainly as usual, and has one of the spirit brews bound to his belt. "Would it be better if I were to report back intermittantly just to stay in touch, or will you simply follow me by scent?"

Seeing Cloud-Dancer was a good idea for last minute tips and Vasara had to nod in agreement.
"Stay just out of our visual reach. Then we know something is going on if we see you have stopped and we can react accordingly and still you would not be too far away to get our help if things turn bad." Vasara said to Kamut.
"Yeah, let's keep our current mission as top priority. But if we run into loners, we need to encourage them to round up in groups to get some protection..." Vasara smiled. There was a time when he loathed fights between tribes and packs, but nowadays it seemed to be necessary to get the wheels turning. Sometimes immediate threat of violence, followed by few solid beatings did more than weeks of talks. And if they hated him afterwards, he couldn't care less as long as they hated together, watching each other's backs.

The Caern was on their way, so a short stop wouldn't set them back. The pack stopped to open the gate that led them up to the Library. When they did, they were immediately greeted by Micah. He seemed to be more edgy than usual, and doubly alert. He looked at them.
"Hi," he said. His eyes lingered on Vasara for a while.

"I'll need to tell you where we're going first," Anna said to Kamut. "There's probably a map at the Library. We should map out our route."
When they arrived at the Caern, she gave Micah a smile. It wasn't so long ago that he was part of their pack. He seemed like more of a stranger lately. Something had changed in him when he lost use of his arm.

Saxon grinned at Nadya, "You know how it is, just done my nails and did not watch to chip them."
He was somewhat surprised to see that the gate had a guardian, "We got a gatekeeper now or you just on the way out?" He asked Micah amiably.

"When we get inside, make few waypoints with a help of map, and at least three alternative routes." Vasara looked at Anna who knew the way and Kamut who was working as pathfinder. "We can't take maps to Umbra, so memorize the routes and show them to us too. Then I need you to talk with Cloud-Dancer, Anna. We can find her but only you really know about this Warwolf."
"Why so sour look, Micah? Daddy threw you out with no bone?" Vasara said with cold voice as he approached the entrance, showing clearly with his body-language that he was not going to stop. "We are on a Quest. We don't stay long. Let us in."
Vasara looked around to see a hint of the Black Spiral Dancer cub. If he was not inside the caern, he was somewhere out. And if he was out, he was Prey.

"I am the Keeper of the Land," Micah corrected Saxon. "Cloud-Dancer-rhya does Gatekeeper duties, now that the moongem has been retrieved."
His eyes glanced over the pack, and settled again on Vasara. "Are you going to cause trouble if you come inside, Judgment-from-the-Skies?" he asked, looking him straight in the eye. A philodox himself, Vasara could tell the gifts of the half moon were in effect, and attempting to conceal the truth was probably unwise.

Oh great the unstoppable force meets a roadblock, so Saxon tried to defuse it. "You mistaking us for a troop of guides selling cookies? No then why you asking stupid questions Micah? We are not here to start trouble, it comes our way then fine, we end it, but we don't start it. Now let us in and then once we have done what we need we can be on our way."
He added a bit of humour, "Nadya you ever a girl guide? Or did you get kicked out for beating up scouts?"

In her full year of being Garou, Anna had never seen such hostility between Septmates. Tensions were high since the challenge between Vasara and Danny. The Sept seemed to have lost something.
"We don't want to cause trouble," Anna said, looking up at Micah and looking as non-threatening as possible. She'd always found him a little strange, but that didn't change things. They were all on the same side. "We just want to talk to Cloud-Dancer-rhya."

Vasara looked at Micah, carefully avoiding the question. Well, carefully at least on his own mind. "We are not here to fool around. Let us in or prepare to defend yourself. We are not expelled from the caern, we are not criminals and at least we surely don't give safe harbour to enemies! We used to run together Micah, don't force my claws to open the way." Vasara raised his voice and gave Micah a fearsome look as he kept walking. He would walk in, either peacefully or by leaving Micah as a unconscious rug at the Gate.
"Last warning, MOVE ASIDE!"
