They had stopped in a rather quiet area and Micah looked around, he spied a gaffling, one that was about the Caern a lot, but one that also would understand his request. “A moment” he said to David before turning to address the gaffling. He gave it a nod of greeting to get it’s attention, once he had it he gave it his request. “I would be most appreciative if you would find Walks-With-Death-Rhya for me and tell him I am in need of his wisdom.”
Once that was done and the gaffling was away he turned back to David. “We will wait here. The gaffling will find Walks-With-Death for us. It will be faster. In the meantime, we can sit and I will see what questions I can answer.” Looking about he found a spot and slowly sat down, and then proceeded to wait for David to make himself at home as well. Once David was seated he gave the young man a nod. “let us take one question at a time. Which would you like answered first?”

When David saw the gaffling he eyed it with apprehension, but since he saw Micah send it off he focused his mind on what Micah had said to him. He chose a place right against a tree to sit down and relax. David let out a sigh of relief that nothing had happen so far and turned his head towards Micah to ask his questions.
David was impatient and so asked two questions of Micah. He asked Micah, "What do you know of the Silver Fangs and what is the Wyrm?"

Micah though a moment. Since taking on the job Keeper he had had much time on his hands to delve more into the lore of his people. It was oddly something he found fascinating once he had started.
“Lets us start with the Wyrm, first and then go from there. The World and all living things was created by Gaia, and into this world she released three primal forces the Weaver, The Wyld, and the Wyrm. We call them the triat. Weaver was supposed to bring structure and order. Wyld was the breath of life, it was what made weaver creations grow and thrive. Where Weaver is Order Wyld is Chaos. And the there was Wyrm, who was made to maintain balance between the other two. But Weaver tried to tip the balance, She caught Wyrm in her webs an act that sent Wyrm spiraling into the darkness of madness. Instead of maintaining balance, Wyrn now infest the world, spreading corruption, and misery."
" Now Wyrm has become a force of destruction that would send all of creation into total destruction in order to free itself from Weaver’s webs. That is what we fight to prevent. The end of all we know.” He finished on a somber note as he looked over to see David’s reaction to this bit of information.

David thought on what Micah said for awhile and then replied, "So why did the Weaver try to catch the Wyrm in her webs, and how does the Wyrm spread corruption, other than the Spirals?"
David took in the knowledge of the Triat in earnest. He thought a little more on the subject and then asked Micah, "So where do we fit into this tale; who do we fight for?"

As Micah spoke, the soft sounds of footsteps were heard approaching. Danny stopped a few metres from where Micah and David were talking. He did not interrupt either of them, but let David ask his questions. There was a smile on his face as he listened to Micah speak. He was proud of how far the young wolf had come, how he had come to accept his injury, and realise he was still far from useless to the Sept. He had found his place among his Septmates at last.
Then he looked at the cub, young, but strong and eager to learn. Maybe Cloud-Dancer's decision had been the right one. He watched them both, and didn't interrupt them yet.

“ The tales of the why vary, from tribe to tribe, but the main concept is; Weaver wanted more, she became mad with power and her desire to enforce her order on all things. She trapped her sibling, tormenting her til Wyrm was driven mad. And after all this time, Wyrm has become insane.” David could see that in some areas Micah seemed to be searching for the right words, which he was. He was really stretching his use of words in order to tell the tale.
“As we have spirits so does Wyrm. There are spirits, banes, there are the Black Spirals as well. And sadly there are also humans that work for the Wyrm and willingly spread her disease as well.”
“We fit in, because we are Gaia’s warriors. There was a time our duty was to cull the human herds and keep them from growing, but when the scale tipped, we found ourselves fighting one of the Trait instead. We fight to protect gaia, her creation and her creatures.”
Hearing the noise behind them, Micah turned and looked up at his mentor. “Struggling to rise he greeted Danny. “Walk-With Death Rhya. I am glad the gaffling found you. Our young cub here is eager to meet you and very eager to learn.”

When David heard Danny approach he readied himself for an attack but as soon as he saw Micah struggle to rise to greet Danny he let his stance drop and got to his feet. David helped Micah up and greeted Danny, "Are are Danny? I have a ton of questions for you but there are two I need answered the most." He felt the questions that had bugged him for quite some time come to the front of his mind. "What is the Gleaming Eye?" He asked Danny, "And what do you know about the Silver Fangs?"
David then wanted to ask where Cloud-Dancer was but restrained his tongue to let Danny respond.

Danny noticed David tense up at the sight of him, and then relax. After a stressful first change on the wrong side of the wall, that wasn't really surprising behaviour. "You needn't be worried here, David," he said. "This is the safest place in the city. You are at home here. Besides, I know of very little that can sneak up on Silent-Hunter without warning."
It was obvious to David that Danny was talking about Micah, although why he called him Silent-Hunter he had no idea. Danny looked between them. He had many things to say, but he could tell David really wanted some answers. "So Cloud-Dancer has already told you about your tribe," he said. "The Silver Fangs are one of the twelve tribes that make up the Garou Nation. Once, they were the rulers of the Garou Nation, but times have changed. The Spirits who told us about you knew your tribe, because of your kinfetch. When you were born, someone close to you, a Silver Fang, made a pact with a spirit so they would watch over you, and alert the nearest Garou when you had your first change."
He paused for a few seconds, letting David take all of this in. "There are not many Silver Fangs in Germany," he continued. "I know of only two at the Sept of the White Rose. You are one of very few left, it seems."
He looked thoughtful for a bit. "The Gleaming Eye," he echoed. "Where have you heard that name before?"

"My grandfather spoke of it when he visited." said David, "He always spoke of it like it was a large group of people related to each other, like a family. He never said anything like the Silver Fangs or werewolves, he just told me I would be a part of the Gleaming Eye someday. I really didn't pay attention to where my grandfather came from; he just seemed to get to our farm faster than everybody else when he told us he was coming. For some reason he stopped coming to visit us and didn't answer our letters anymore about 8 years ago."
David was assured by Danny's statement about the area being the safest place in the city. He stopped looking for danger as he trusted that Micah would find it before he did.
David told Danny with confidence, "I feel I owe Cloud-Dancer a debt for getting me out of the East. I really don't like to owe people but I think it seems appropriate. If you guys were the ones who helped her find me, then I feel that I would owe you as well. Is there any way I can help out here; though I do owe a Spiral named Kord a fist full of claws. But first of all, am I welcome to stay here?"
David looked thoughtful for a moment and asked Danny, "Are there any other werewolves around here besides you guys. Cloud-Dancer mentioned someone named Vasara who led a pack as well."
David thought about asking to see if the conversation he had heard that night while sleeping really happened, but waited to see if the question was answered for him.

Micah murmured a thanks to David for the assistance. There were times he really missed the use of his arm, even in his human form, for standing up was difficult with only the balance of one.
“There are few. Most do not stay here. Slagbröder is off doing things, but they do not stay here now. There is another pack as well, but they do are out. Otherwise there are a few that are about til they find a place of their own. The caern is net made to house the sept permanently.” Though Micah still had trouble with this, it was theirs, they should stay, keep it and live here, as wolves should. But he had been told that this was the ways things had to be.
He smiled slightly as David’s enthusiasm, and wondered if he would feel that way after he found all he had to learn in order to earn the ‘right’ to fight by the others.

Danny gave Micah a sort of nod, a very subtle gesture that David almost missed, but that Micah understood as an invitation to continue talking. He turned to David quickly.
"You are one of us," he said. "We would never turn you away. You will meet many different Garou here, of different tribes. There are as of now about twenty Garou in the city. They are usually divided into packs. We work best in packs. That way we complement each other, draw strength from each other, and watch each other's backs. We are stronger together than we are alone."
He accepted David's offer to repay them with a nod. He didn't tell him to be patient, that he was too young. The cub was a true Silver Fang, he could see that. "You are a warrior, I can see it in you. I can see the rage in you, and I can almost guarantee you that you are an Ahroun. I don't doubt it. Cloud-Dancer has offered to teach you."
He set down cross-legged on the ground. "But first, sit down, and I will tell you everything I know about the Gleaming Eye, and the Frostfangs."

David was eager to learn what he could of his past in regard to his Garou kin. David sat back down against the tree again and waited for Danny to start telling him about his past. David's mind rested easy upon knowing that he wouldn't be turned away. How else could he repay them if he wasn't accepted? David said to Danny, "Please, tell me everything you can about my lineage, I am listening."
In a way, it was like listening to his grandfather tell his stories, yet this time he was more attentive as he felt that he needed to know about his past, in order to act on the present.

"First, let me start by telling you about the Silver Fangs," Danny said. "As I said before, there are twelve tribes of Garou. You have already met three. In the old times, the Silver Fangs were our leaders. They raised the first Caern, they led the Garou both in battle and behind the scenes. They were leaders in the human world as well. The Gleaming Eye are one house of the Silver Fangs, a group of Northern European Silver Fangs specifically. They have always been determined to keep their tribe loyal and pure, and when another of the houses fell, they hunted them down and destroyed the traitors."
He continued to speak, not worried that David would find the history of his tribe harsh and unforgiving. He had already seen the others, he had fought the Wyrm, even if briefly. He knew, to a certain extent, what they were up against.
"And on the front lines of the Gleaming Eye has always been a Frostfang warrior. They are the Silver Fangs that trace their lineage back to Gustaw Frostfang, a norse nobleman whose adventures are still remembered by Galliards of all tribes. I know you are a Frostfang because it is the name the Spirits identified you by."

David took that knowledge in with gusto. He felt proud of himself to be descended from a warrior of great renown.
He replied to Danny's statement, "So you can now have a member of the Gleaming Eye fighting alongside you. But does the Gleaming Eye know of my existence and would they be trying to find me?"
David wanted to know what would happen if the Silver Fangs found out that he was in Berlin. He asked Danny, "What will happen if the Silver Fangs find me here. Would there be a chance that you don't tell the Silver Fangs and my house that I am a werewolf until after I repay my debt to you?" "Though I do wonder if the Silver Fangs have any good fencing maestros that I could learn from?"
"I believe my question has been answered." David said to Danny, "But there must be some rules I must follow around here. If the Gleaming Eye killed off another house for being traitors, then they must have broken some rules. If there are any, please tell me what they are. As well as that, if there are rules, there is punishment for breaking them. Could you tell me about that as well? If I were to rip your head off right now, besides the dishonor and the fact that Micah would likely try to avenge you, how would I be punished for that act?" David gave a grin and said, "Of course, even if there was any sort of legal punishment, I think everyone else here would tear me apart for that act before I could be dealt with. But all the same, if I were to survive the revenge that would likely be taken by everyone else, what would happen to me?"
David was impatient to get out and earn his keep, so he placed his other questions at the back of his mind and made a mental note to ask them sometime later when things had settled down for him.

Micah listened as Danny spoke, deferring to him in this area. though he knew some lore of the tribes, it was still an area he was learning in. So, in his own way he was listening as well. A slight smile crossed his lips as he thought of Kamut, perhaps he should follow that one's lead and get to know the others and ask questions and learn. Learning was on of the boons he was discovering in his two legged form.
He waited for Danny to reply on the bits about The Gleaming Eye, for he knew nothing of that. But he was also in silent communication with his mentor, as his body shifted a bit when David spoke of rules. A clear indication he was willing to tell the young one about the litany and those things he could answer, if Walks-with-Death so chose.
