Nadya frowns and wonders if she's just dealing with a clueless serving-boy. So she changes the subject and tries to find out if she's talking to the right guy. "She said to talk to Rudi, that's you right?" She says, looking him over in case she'd managed to overlook something amazingly obvious like a namebadge.

The shopkeeper answered the question with a smile.
"Your friend told you that?" he asked. "And who is this friend of yours?"
Although there was nothing to suggest it, the way the man reacted to the name amd the suggestion said quite a bit.

"Nina, like I said she's too shy to come in here herself. She told me she heard about it from some guy..." Nadya shrugs. "She never told me his name." Nadya may not be a master at being deceptive, but she's sharp enough on her feet to think of reasonable lies. "So you're Rudi, right?"

"I am," Rudi said. He kept casual, the initial surprise of her knowing his name either passing or concealed.
"Well, I'm afraid your friend heard wrong," he said. "This is all I've got. Maybe Nina would like to come down here herself and take a look. I'm sure she'll find something to her liking."

Nadya looks unsure. "You're sure about that?" She shrugs and fiddles around with her wallet. "Because Nina's birthday is coming up and I don't mind buying a nice present for her."

Rudi kept up his smile.
"Well I am sure you can find a lot of things here she will like," he said helpfully. "What sort of thing is Nina into."

"Well... she said she likes animal acts." Nadya left a healthy pause after that, and tries to look awkward about the subject matter even if it takes a lot more than that to really ick Nadya out. "You know... lots of animals. She's talked about getting a dog too." She shrugs. "Who am I to judge, huh?"

Rudi nodded. Obviously he wasn't judging either.
"Well that sort of thing isn't exactly legal," he explained. "Although you might be able to find some novels on the subject, films are another subject entirely."

Nadya nods. "That's what I thought, but she said the guy said you might be able to help her out with some tapes..." She thumbs through her wallet, sliding ten-mark notes out one after another, the suggestion that she's going to pay to loosen his tongue going unspoken. It's not like she doesn't plan to take them back when she's done, after all.

Rudi looked at the wallet, obviously it had gotten his attention. He still wasn't likely to spill the beans to a complete stranger, however.
"I might have some stuff that's a little more... extreme," he said. "Nothing illegal of course, just the stuff that might disturb the usual clientele. So I keep it behind the scenes."
Nadya thought he seemed a little nervous, but she couldn't really be sure. He kept staring at the wallet.

"Ahuh, sure..." Nadya is again suprised by how well the subtle approach is going, having expected to have broken half of his fingers already by this point. "So you'll have to leave the shop front, why don't I just 'compensate' you for the time and you show me what's out back." She folds two of the notes and offers them to him, while her other hand slides her wallet back into her pocket.

"I don't have it here," he said. "But I can order it for you."
For a second, he faltered, and Nadya thought she saw his eyes dart from side to side nervously.
"If you give me your number, I could call you when it's here."

"Your loss." Nadya shrugs and puts the money away. She can't risk leaving him to go into hiding, since Leon might of been stupid and talked after all. "Just tell me where you get them or the only balls you'll ever be seeing will be on these tapes."

Rudi looked even more nervous and gave a forced laugh.
"What are you talking about?" he asked. Nadya couldn't miss the fact that his hand was moving slowly under his desk. He was trying to be subtle, but he wasn't doing a very good job of it.
"I told you it wasn't illegal," he was saying. "It's just a little extreme."

Nadya didn't hesitate to leap across the counter and slam into him with a snarl, then tried to pummel him with her fists to take the fight out of him as quickly as possible.
((split action to leap over the counter and grapple Rudi, willpower into the grapple, then rage for an extra to clinch and inflict bashing damage))
