Danny looked her straight in the eyes as she spoke. He kept staring for a few seconds after she stopped talking, and then finally spoke. He seemed quite convinced she was genuine.
"A wandering bard," he said. "Not unlike what I used to be. Excuse our initial hostility. But with the situation in Berlin being as it is, we must always be suspicious of strangers."
He gave Martin a nod. "Show him around, but come back quickly. There is much to be done."
Then he continued talking to Sakura. "I have met very few of the Beast Courts, and never a Fox-Changer. You will find that although our customs might differ, we all share the same higher goal. Welcome to Berlin. I hope you find what you are looking for."
Finally, he turned back to Vasara. "Any progress in finding our lost boy?" he asked. "Where is Kasiya?"

This girl was either brave or stupid for coming to wolf's den. She said lot's of big words that had absolutely no meaning to Vasara and he stared at her, even sniffed her once. Danny could have this one, Vasara had more pressing issues in hand and the warwolf inside of him was itching for blood.
"Kasiya's working on his mojo outside. He has the name, he has the Rite." Vasara again glanced at Sakura "We are getting ready to Hunt."

Vasara sniffed at the woman, although it wasn't quite an obvious act with all the commotion in the Library. The scent was new to him, definitely not something he had encountered in his life. But the gift of the spirits was enough to make him sure what she was: a Fox-Changer, one of the shapeshifters of the East which he had heard about, but never actually met before.

Torsten is attentive when Martin tells him about the place and watches the dynamics of how people talk to each other. Wow I'll have to watch myself around here, Torsten thinks. I wouldn't want to cross these guys. "So you know where I can stash these things? Is there an area to put weapons?" He asked Martin. Torsten re-adjusts the bags straps on his shoulder and waits for Martin to lead the way.

Bowing once more in respect "I thank you very much...Rhya?" She wasn't sure if that was the right word, but for some reason the word came to mind. "I understand...these are trying times and they do make for strange bedfellows." Straightening back up she glanced around taking note of the others in the room. her gaze once more fell on Danny and she smiled.
"Perhaps I can help? I am sure Inaris sent me here for a reason...and not one to merely tell tales? perhaps to assist and once more help forge a bond between the Sunset people and mine?" She hoped this was a polite way to offer help, if they were as touchy as the Hakkan it was best to tread lightly, now that were allowing her to stay.

Kamut was glad Danny was taking everything in stride so readily, with the Rite and then finding a new cub he would already have a great deal on his mind. There were, at least, no ill events to worsen affairs. He smiled at Sakura's offer of help, it was welcome but perhaps not apropriately placed. "I feel your graces will be wasted on the hunt we are set on, but there is another matter where your assistance might be most valuable." He sais, avoiding the suggestion that she couldn't handle the dangers. Kitsune were not Gaia's warriors, Kamut knew that much, but there was no need to insult her pride by reminding her of it. "Some of the others, yet to arrive, are to set out and negotiate with the ratkin today. Relations are tense with them but your company might demonstrate that we are sincere in our desire to unite again."

"Also upstairs," Martin said, turning to lead Torsten to the staircase. "Many Garou stay here now." Continued: here

She was rather sure she was not sent to this place to play diplomat, not after the dreams she had had. But, she kind of wanted to stay on the good side of these Garou. Considering two so far had all the manners of Genghis Khan, and a third was stuck up being on their bad side could make things difficult.
"I could...but it is also possible I may be of assistance in this other endeavor...if I knew more about it. It may coincide with my task here, as I know talks with the Rat-folk are not." She looked up at Kamut and Danny.

"We will assist you as far as we are capable," Danny said. "But we are fighting a war on many different fronts, and our resources are spread quite thin."
So Kasiya was outside, Vasara's pack, minus Anna, was all here, and Yvonne and Adiyah had yet to arrive. That left only Nadezhda unaccounted for.
"Good, then since we have welcomed our new guest, we should join Kasiya in the Rite. He has quested alone for far too long, and the Spirits will look on us more favourably if we perform the rite together. And it will be a good learning experience for the cubs. " That, and we should probably start acting like a Sept in front of outsiders.

Kasiya slips back into the library quietly, not making a fuss about returning. Closing the door behind him he takes a moment to survey the scene while Danny finishes talking.
New face. Yet again. Things are happening fast.
Fred returns with him, and, curious about Sakura, moves over to look closely at her, no doubt sending shivers down the spines of those blessed with high Gnosis. He looks back to Kasiya: "What a pretty girl."
Consequent to Fred's random comment, Kasiya appears to look toward Sakura and smile fainty. No-one could know that it's at the quip of a dead man and not a quiet greeting. Giving no sign that he had already tried and failed to enact the Rite of the Questing Stone, he speaks into the silence which follows Danny's directions:
"I am prepared."
It will be an honour to lead so many in the Rite. Running alone cannot compare.
His hands are clasped in front of him, cradling the stone and it's intricate web of threads.

Of course, anyone not privy to the dubious content of Kasiya's head would only remember that he had left specifically to perform the Rite. His further failure to clarify that he had failed has, of course, led to a misunderstanding. Such is the life of the intentionally cryptic. "The Rite is completed? Where do the spirits guide us?" It came as no suprise of course, Kamut knew enough to know how long the simple Rites take. "Then we are only waiting for Nadezhda, yes?" A turn of his head to Vasara followed the query, there was certainly no doubt who was calling the shots.

He shakes his head, calm and serene, actually beginning to enjoy the verbal sparring that he and Kamut seem fated to inflict upon one another.
"No. I am prepared. As we hunt together, so do the spirits require that we carry out the Rite together."
Much as I would prefer to do it alone...

Nadya enters with little concern for the newcomer, assuming she'd be dead by now if she was a problem, and puts her duffel bag on the floor. Though she does take some care not to drop it roughly it still clunks in suggestion of the metallic contents. "I'm set, let's go."

Danny looked around; everyone was here. They was no point standing around anymore. "Good, then we will all take part in the rite," he said. "Kasiya will lead. The cubs can watch." He turned to look at Martin and Torsten who had just returned from upstairs. "This will be your first rite. It is a mystic rite that will ask the spirits to aid us in finding our lost kin. Listen, and learn." Then he led the way outside. Continued outside

Yvonne arrives minutes later, slightly warm from her jog from school, and starts looking around and wondering where everyone is. Eventually, she thinks to check outside and finds the others.
