"Oh no, I was only too happy to join in when Max mentioned it!" She smiles happily. "I practically had to get him to get started."

"They offered to help," Max said. "And I could sure use their help. I don't know the city very well, and I think we work well together. I know there's a lot to be done here, and I don't want to leave the Caern short-handed. We'll just have a poke around. We're not going to launch a full search party. I mean not yet anyway."
After launching into that full explanation, he paused for a breath. "We'll just start at Evie's," he said. "And we'll let you know what happens."

Adiyah smiled, sat down, and lightly patted Torsten's shoulder as she listened to the talk. Was good to see him adjusting after what had happened. At Danny's inquiry, she nodded. "Drafted indeed, as long as we're not needed elsewhere at the moment."
She nodded at Max's suggestion, after all it made the most sense to start there.

"Alright," Danny said. They seemed to have their mind made up already. He wasn't going to stop them.
"All I can ask is to stay safe, and call if you need anything. Try to check in tonight, if Vasara and the others have returned with some information about Jan, they might be in need of some back-up."

"Thanks," Max said. He pulled himself to his feet. "Alright then." Then he smiled at Yvonne and Adiyah. "And thanks for coming with me," he said. "See you later, Danny-rhya, and cubs." Continued at the Stolz Home

Later in the Afternoon
Micah led Adam up to the front door of the Libarary. As they got closer, Adam got the feeling that the whole unfriendly and abandoned look was just for show. In fact, when Micah had pushed the door open and they had stepped inside, he found the place to be quite pleasant. Most of the furniture was new, and some of the books looked like they had been recently added. The fire was lit, warming up the place quite well, and a young red-headed boy of about sixteen was lying on the rug in front of the fireplace, reading a very large book about the future of computers.
Micah pointed to number of seats in the Library's main area. "Wait here," he told Adam. "Get Danny," he said to the boy, who put his book down and complied with very little enthusiasm.

Taking a seat as instructed, Adam examines his surroundings while Michah speaks with the boy. There were some familiar sights and smells here, but they were hazy.
"So how long have you been here?" He asks Michah, looking across to him, "I don't recall your name nor face from when I was last here."

Micah shook his head. "There's no one left from the old crowd," he said. "I'm sorry," he added. "Most died in the second wave. Those that didn't left the city."
He was still watching Adam in that same annoying way. "So I guess you're one of the lucky ones?"

Adam gave Michah a sombre nod.
"My father managed to lead me and my sister to safety," He recalls, "Taught us to lie-low, to stay under the radar until it was safe to return here."
He looks away from Micah for a moment, his thoughts drifting to his father.
"Heck, if he knew I was here right now, I don't think he'd be too pleased with me," He continues, looking back up at the young man, "I doubt he'd ever admit that he thought this place is 'safe to return to'."

Micah shrugged and smiled grimly. "Yeah well, you were just a kid then," he said. "Things are different now. We've got more of a chance. We're not as outnumbered as they were then."
He stopped talking suddenly and turned around when a large long-haired man with an eyepatch walked in. He stopped by the entrance and gave Adam a scrutinising look. Micah then walked over to this new comer and gave him a quick nod. "This is Adam," he said, and stood there.

Danny walked over to Adam and offered him a hand to shake.
"Welcome, Adam," he said. "I am this Caern's Warder, and as Athro, the ranking Garou in this small Sept. So, what brings you to Berlin?"

Adam greets Danny with a smile and nod.
One with a ruined arm, and another with a missing eye... what am I getting myself into? He thinks to himself.
"Dr. Adam Fleischer," He says, betraying nothing of his inner thoughts, "Cliath Philodox of the Glasswalker tribe."
His words come easier this time around.
"I am here today seeking others of my kind," He says, sincerely, "I have been away from the Garou Nations for longer than I should've."

"Well, Berlin isn't really the ideal city for a reunion," Danny said, seating himself in one of the comfy chairs by the fire. He seemed a lot less suspicious than Micah, although that was only because he was more easy-going and obviously had some people skills. It definitely wasn't because he was any less paranoid. "I hope you know what you're getting yourself into," he said, unknowingly echoing Adam's thoughts.

Adam nodded in acknowledgment.
"As I was just telling Michah here," He motions towards the young Garou, "I was actually raised here. My father took me away from this place before the troubles began."
He shakes his head, frowning a little.
"He led me to believe that the library had been abandoned," He continues, "I was totally unaware that there were others like me still in the city, only a short drive from where I live, no less."

"It was abandoned," Danny said. "It's only been reopened recently."
He turned and nodded to Micah, which probably was the signal that everything was ok, because Micah took the hint. "I gotta be heading back," he said. "It was nice meeting you, Adam."
He took off, and Adam and Danny were left alone in the Library. "So you were here before the Caern was closed," he said. "Where did you go?"
