Nadya was about to nod when the kid answered the question himself. She looked up and wondered how long he had been awake, people don't normally go from unconscious to fully awake in a second. "Guess not." She finishes putting the HK53 back together carefully, now that she's more familiar with the components.

"Everyone's fine. Little more scar-tissue, some rest here at caern and we'll be back on track in no time." Vasara said, tasting his coffee again "You two ever thought finding a pack for yourselves? Slagbroder got opening right now for Galliard and Ragabash, you know." Vasara sat down on his bunk and finished his sandwich.
...but hopefully not for theurge, I've still got no word from Anna... Vasara thought, trying not to look like he was worrying.

He nods, relieved that there weren't any more problems. "Yes I have." Kamut wasn't going to dance around the issue, he had been without a pack for some time. "I would be honoured to join you." Maybe he will even temper their aggressive tendencies... or maybe become more like them himself. There is a war on, after all, and Kamut isn't about to shirk a place in a pack just because they don't suit his exact tastes.

Nadya muses on exactly what he expects of her because of the moon she was born under, while she puts the assault rifle back into her bag and pulls out the SVD next for inspection. "Occasionally." She doesn't elaborate on the answer, or the fact that for some reason all the packs she's worked with before haven't been too interested in taking her on. Nadya works on inspecting the barrel and telescopic sight of the rifle, all that moving around could of knocked them out of their fine-tuned alignment. There's not much point in using a sniper rifle if it doesn't hit the mark. "But it looks like I'll be staying here, so where do I sign?"

"Well, good. That is settled then. We perform the Rite at some time soon, when we got everyone we need for it around. Seems like everyone's busy on their own things and we have a chance to get some rest." Vasara talked as he laid down on his bunk. He had learned to rest whenever it was possible nowadays, few hunts that had lasted for several days non-stop had taught him that you never know when you can sleep or eat next time.
"So, what has brought you two here and where are you from? Looks like this is a Pack made out of lone wolves, so it can be difficult on the beginning to get used on having someone watching over your back, but things get easier later on. This Pack-mentality is in our blood, after all."

"I'm only travelling alone because circumstances demanded it. My pack... my previous pack... ran into misfortune." He leaves the details out of the story. Kamut isn't very comfortable talking about it, but he's not going to hide from his past if pressed. "I left Konstanz to come here afterwards, this place needs all the help it can get and I intend to do what I can. I'm glad to be able to work with others again."

"I don't like sitting around while useless bastards argue over what to do next." She holds the rifle up vertically, checking the straightness of the barrel by eye by the light reflecting off it. "This place has so much shit to do, we can just walk down the street and find something that needs sorting out."

((Later, after everyone's had some time to rest))
He'd stepped sideways in the garden, but made his way through the library and upwards to find Vasara and his recruitment drive.
Padding straight up to Vasara with his usual eerie silence, Kasiya sits.
"Anna's back. You're needed."
Not stopping to communicate further, there being no need, Kasiya heads back down toward the garden. He doesn't look back to see if the others follow. He has ears for that. Right now he's thinking more about the next part of the Rite. Simple and brief compared to the rest of it.

--Later that Day-- Danny led Maria up the stairs towards the second floor, helping her up the steps if she needed it. The small "attic" of the library had been furnished with several bunks. A few of them seemed to be claimed, but a couple were still obviously free. There was a small television in the corner, and even a bathroom equipped with a shower. "Just pick a bunk," Danny said. "I think Shadow-Stalker and Nadezhda have claimed those two. The lupus-born prefer to sleep downstairs, by the fire." And then there were the books. They looked like they were waiting to be sorted, but at the same time these weren't the books you'd want to make available to the public. They were old, and some were leatherbound and even hand-written. Additionally, they didn't look like they had been read in quite a while. "The Library used to be open to the public a long time ago," Danny said. "But some books were too valuable to be left downstairs. And besides, some are just not for human eyes." He picked up a book entitled: The Warders, A Written History, and handed it to Maria. "Like this one, for example."

Maria looked around the attic with excitement. This seemed to be a nice place to sleep. She took a look at the book which Danny had offered her. " Interesting, how could they get this published?" she wondered as she limped to find a place to sleep. After looking around the room she finally picked the bunk on the left side closest to the exit. That way she could get on her legs easily if something happened. The metis sat down on the bunk and smiled at Danny. "Thank you, Walks-with-death-rhya, I think I'll manage from this point on" she said, almost teetering to fall face flat on the bed.

"Oh, I don't they actually had it published," Danny said. "They printed only a few copies, which they guard well in their Caerns. Enjoy your reading."
He smiled back at her and headed back down the stairs, leaving her to read in private for a while.

Maria smiled as Danny disappeared, then yawned. She had barely slept last night and the racking excitement and happenings of today had made her even more drowsy than usual. Maria eyed the book for a few moments, trying her best to focus as much as she could. But after few minutes she decided that she was far too tired to continue.
Taking of her coat and pants, Maria burrowed deep inside the blankets and began to slightly snore after a while.
(( so yeah, unless someone wants to mess with the sleeping Fang, Maria spends her downtime in sweet sleep XD))

Evening had come and gone, leaving only the last few hours of the day, before Kamut made his way upstairs. He does it mostly to be readily available to the rest of his pack when they decide to prepare for the night, rather than forcing them to seach him out in the spirit world. Mindful of the snores he moves with little noise, and only the lightest sleeper would be awoken. He settles back onto the bunk he had used before and lies there with one of the books from the library, reading silently except for the occasional rustle of a page.
(but it's been a fair few hours, so probably enough time to wake up anyway)

As always, Maria's mind was groggy. She didn't really see much before her, but could smell that the bed she was in wasn't her old one. The metis sat up and began to rub her eyes and slowly, her vision returned. She noticed Kamut sitting on his bunk. "Good...night, Shadow-Stalker" Maria said, rubbing her eyes and she moved her blanket away. Thus showing her main deformity well, the toes poked out at odd angles, and Maria's casual scratching of the limb must have made it seem even more gruesome.

Kamut looks up from the book. "Did you sleep well Li..." He pauses a moment, her deed-name isn't exactly a brand of honour. "How do you prefer to be adressed?" The sight of her deformed leg elicits little reaction, Kamut knows well the danger of judging on appearances. His own curse has little to do with simple deformity, after all.
