The attic has been refurnished with several bunks. There's a number of bookshelves up here too and a pile of books waiting to be sorted out. There is also a bathroom on this floor.

"Just what I was looking for." Nadezhda quickly finds a bed to hijack, one in the corner where she can see the room and can't be seen through the windows. She tucks her pistol away under her pillow and lies back, though it's hard to tell if she's asleep as she seems to keep half an eye open.

- The next morning - Nadya wakes from her sleep suddenly, her hand under the pillow clutching the grip of her pistol as she remembers where she is and why she isn't familiar with it yet. Initial paranoia aside, she finds a shower to get washed up. A few minutes later she finishes and heads downstairs, the gun tucked away out of sight in it's usual place.(continued downstairs)

Martin led Torsten up a narrow staircase and into the attic. It was quite large, although most of it seemed to function as a storage place for old books. Some of it, however, was refurnished to act like a very large bedroom, with several bunks lining the sides. Two or three seemed to have been claimed, as their owners had left things on them. But Torsten soon found one that appeared empty. Upon further inspection, he found that he could open up the lower part of the bed like a drawer and put all his things there, away from view.
"Are you going to stay here?" he asked. "Mostly the two-legs go to their other houses, and only the wolf-born stay here, and Kamut, he is..." Martin paused trying to remember the right wor. "Metis," he said finally. "But they say we must all stay together now, because things are dangerous."

Torsten scans the upstairs attic with approval. Snug and with plenty to read. Wow this is cool, and so many books, Mmmmm I'd better ask if I'm allowed to read them. Ok enough distraction I'd better be quick. he thinks to himself He finds a bed to his liking and puts all his things neatly into the draw provided. Taking extra care with the small box which he hides under the draw, before he closes it he takes out a picture and puts it by his bed.
"I won't be a sec, I'm just going to change." he said to Martin.
Torsten changes his clothes, putting on dark blue demin jeans and a blue t-shirt with the words Ace Hi across the front. Lastly putting on a fleeced lined, black hooded zip up demin jacket, custom made for when he goes hunting. Torsten grabs his pistol and 3 clips, some money and a finally a small crystal. He puts these items into the pockets within his jacket.
He looks up at Martin as he asks whether he'll be staying here and smirks when Martin mentions two legs. Torsten screws up his eyes in confusion at he word Metis.
"I'm staying here until I know more about what's going on with me," he said to Martin. "Hopefully it won't be long. I'll miss my dad, and my house." "So Martin what's a Metis?" He asked as he started towards the stairs. Taking too long was not something he wanted to do after Danny had asked them to be quick.

"Yes, I miss the forest too," Martin said. "Maybe soon I will go back too."
He looked a little uneasily at the pistol, but smiled quickly when Torsten stashed it away.
"A Metis is born from two Garou," he said, explaining it exactly the way it had been explained to him about a week or so ago. "Our litany says, Garou must not mate with other Garou. But when Garou do it anyway, the children are Metis, and they are born in our warform, and always have to be hidden."
He followed Torsten to the stairs. He was ready to join the others again, although he didn't mind chatting. He found it came naturally in this form, just like hunting came naturally in Lupus, and fighting in Crinos.

"Man I love the forest, especially hunting. My mum always took me when I was younger." He said to Martin as they made there way to the stairs. "So how long have you been here? And why are you here? Your pretty young aren't you! Are your parents here?" he asked politely.
Torsten grimaces when Martin explains the way a Metis is conceived Weird Torsten thought. Mating with each other. Gross! Torsten smirks and giggles imagining two werewolves 'going at it'
"Hey do you have a good kitchen, I love cooking." he said. Quickly changing the subject as he took the stairs two at a time.

"Yes, I changed a few months ago. It was very messy, and lots of humans died. Then other Garou found me, but they were tainted Garou, and when I saw how they they treated the other cubs, I didn't want to join them. Then we were rescued, and came here. My mother is still in the forest... I hope."
He followed Torsten down the stairs, running a little to keep up.
"There's a kitchen," he said. "There's also outside, and a fire. And lots of books, but I can't read. Can you?"

Torsten stops before he gets to the bottom of the steps and turns to Martin. "I'm sorry you had a bad change" he said sincerely. "I also had my change but it was last night and three boys died." Torsten looks at his feet and feels his cheeks flush. "How did you get over the feeling of what happened?"
Torsten's feeling of dread over last nights experience threatens to well up again. He puts his hand into the pocket that holds the small crystal. Tightly grasping it, he silently mouths. Mum give me the strength to get over this. He feels a small measure of control and confidence in the core of his soul strengthen him.
Torsten is silent for a few moments and then he looks up at Martin. "I can read really well. I'll teach you if you like?" he said confidently.

A day later:
Kamut was dimly aware of the fact that he was being carried upstairs, and drifted in and out of consciousness for a while. People came and went, and he lost track of time a little. After a while, however, he started to regain his senses. Sounds started to make more sense, and he could make out talking in the distance. An uncomfortable itch in his left hand revealed a needle sticking out of it, and hooking him up to an IV bag that hung over his head. A strange man sat on the bunk opposite to him, and if it wasn't for the familiarity of the upstairs attic of the Caern, he might have started to worry.

Kamut does his best not to react immediately, not even opening his eyes all the way. Instead he focuses on his hearing, trying to listen for the familiar sounds of the library, cars outside, familiar voices, anything to confirm he is where he should be.

Nadya is on another of the bunks. One of the Hk53 assault rifles is spread out in a few pieces beside her, and she's busy looking down the barrel which is currently seperate from the rest of the gun. She blows down it once more, producing a faint whistle, then starts putting the gun back together. She doesn't pay any attention to Kamut as he's roused.

Vasara came from downstairs, half-drunk mug of black coffee in his right hand and big sandwich with slices of sausage on top of it in his left hand. Some sleep and lot's of stuff to eat and now he felt again like he could take on the whole world. At least that would be if his head wasn't aching again so bad from where it was bashed in some time ago.
He carefully opened the door, trying not to spill rest of his coffee and stepped inside. "Is the kid still unconscious?"

Vasara recognised the strange man as Simon. Simon was Danny's kin, who also happened to work at a hospital, and whose flat was often used as a squat for homeless Garou.
"He should be waking up soon," said Simon, walking over to Kamut and checking his IV bag. "Drugs should be flushed out of his system by now."
He packed up his medical equipment, removed Kamut's IV needle and before he could even begin to patch up the hole it had left behind, Kamut's hand had already healed over. Simon shook his head and grinned. He should really have known better. "See you around, buddy," he said to Vasara as he shouldered his bag, and then headed for the stairs. "Take care of yourself."

With all signs indicating he's still amongst friends, Kamut sits up and looks around to take stock of the room with his eyes. "Yes, I'm awake. Drugs..." He pauses to try to remember what had happened, but it was all a blur. He could only dimly remember Nadya saying something that irritated him and the earth shaking before he had passed out. "Very powerful ones, did everyone get out okay?" Another pause to look around, Saxon and Kasiya weren't in sight. Seeing Simon Kamut offers a thankful nod, remembering his manners. He didn't know exactly what Simon had done with the bags and tubes, but Kamut assumes it had been helpful. "Thank you for your help."
