"She is forgiving, and I suppose she offers as much kindness as she is able. In that at least I am fortunate." Kamut's momentary sadness passes, it had happened so long ago he'd long accepted it.
"So you have ties to your ancestors too? I do not know if many others of the sept do. Another ancestor I can often speak with is my great-grandfather. He was a master of the Klaive and yearns for the chance to put his skill to the test again, but is frustrated knowing I will never be honoured to touch one." Oh the irony, Kamut smiles at the thought. "How strongly are you tied to yours?"

"Oh, you are truly lucky then. I never had parents" Maria says, not in a very sad tone but in a matter-of-fact type.
" Ah, I do speak to one of my ancestors sometimes, he's grandfather from my mother's side. Gruff man. Other than that, there are these faint deja vu's" Maria says chuckling, good old grandfather, very loud about his opinions. " So I guess I'm not as strongly tied as you are" she finishes, stretching her upper body for few minutes. The progress is clearly painful to her. " Hurf, Good to have another metis to talk to at last" Maria says with a pained smile.

"Neither did I." Kamut lets her connect the dots herself, he's given enough clues.
He nods in agreement, though he wouldn't disparage the others by thinking they couldn't understand and be empathetic, he had no doubt that they wouldn't be. "Were there no others at the caern you were raised in? Not that this would suprise me, I'm told they argued for some time over whether I should of been allowed to live."

It doesn't take Maria long to figure out what Kamut means. "I see" she says, sounding slightly sad.
" As far as I know, the other Fangs in the caern were so disgusted about my appearance that they allowed my mentor to bring me to his manor and raise me there. So I really haven't met any other metis beside you, if there would be any others living among fangs around here, that is" Maria says, scratching her hair. " It wasn't too bad to live there, I wasn't beaten much and master was a warm person" she continues, thought her story doesn't match with the long scars on her face.

"I don't know if there are any others of your tribe near here, but I'm new to the area. I was with the Frozen Waters sept in Konstanz before I decided to come here." Kamut nods faintly, though he'd never been subject to physical abuse himself. The constant reminder of how much he had to make up for had been enough for him. It sounds more like she had been treated more like a slave than merely an inferior.
"In fact I've never met any Silver Fangs myself. I wasn't aware they would go to such lengths to mistreat you, though considering the concern your tribe hold for maintaining a strong bloodline I suppose it isn't as suprising." Realising it isn't a subject she likely wants to dwell on, he seeks a change of subject.
"I suspect I have a broader understanding of the Garou nation and other aspect on the supernatural than most of our fellow Cliath, an advantage I hope to add to my pack. Further more there are few lupus amongst us, and Kasiya seems set on being a lone wolf, so neither pack has a strong grasp of the way of wolves. I'm sure the others will at least appreciate the knowledge you bring to them."

Maria chuckles as Kamut refers mistreatment. " Mistreat? What are you talking about, Shadow-Stalker? Of course other Fangs that visited the manor always wanted to beat me, but master would have never been cruel to me. And he usually beat me if I was acting like a brat" She said, sounding eerielly amused.
" I guess. I like this form very much, but sometimes it feels I'm...lacking, if you know what I mean. No moving ears or tail, no fangs and no fur" Marua said, still smiling.

Kamut nods, but doesn't remark on her attitude towards mistreatment. He was fortunate indeed. "And no sense of smell, though that's not something I miss out on as I have none at all. I suppose lacking that sense is why I find the human form most practical."
((I'm running out of things to contribute, shall we call this scene to a halt?))

Maria blinks and looks at Kamut for a while. "Ah, and you have two deformities too. We have a lot in common" she finally says, then yawns. " Excuse me.. I think I might need some more rest for tomorrow" Maria mumbles as she goes between the blankets and curls up. Somewhere between the covers one can hear a quiet 'night'
(( Yeah, me too, it was nice tho ^^))
