It looks as if it will be a fair day. There is a warm, deep orange glow at the horizon where helios will soon emerge. The cold of the pre-dawn morning will soon burn off and they are sheltered from the wind.
Kasiya takes his human form, all the better to talk. Kamut would no doubt do as he needed in respect of his form. Sleep had done him the world of good. Kasiya looked upon the world once again with fresh eyes, the wolf inside him reborn every day.
Finding a good spot out of the way he sits cross-legged on the ground. Kasiya addresses his peer:
"Do you take issue with my acts of the past week?"
His manner isn't hostile or confrontational. It's plain that Kasiya doesn't want to take their encounter in that direction.

Kamut had no objection to taking another form so he joins Kasiya as a human. His deformity was so much less relevant in the man-shape anyway. "I don't know. What have you done in the past week? I have only turned up recently."

The thought passes Kasiya's mind that Kamut might not be as sharp as he seemed to be. Kamut had arrived before the Children had. A week had passed since then. Time during which he and Anna had worked on laying them to rest, going without sleeping and eating properly and narrowly avoiding a brush with the law on several occasions.
The evasion does not frustrate him, only make him more secure that he could handle this.
"As have I. Only what you have seen."

"I didn't realise I was supposed to be watching your movements, I have had my own duties to attend to. Have you been doing anything important that I was supposed to watch you achieve?" Kamut stood quite calmly as he casually read Kasiya's prominent body language and wondered what made him think his activity was so important that anyone would know about it.

This early into their heart to heart Kasiya isn't noticeably frustrated by Kamut's evasive and belligerent attitude. He does, however seem quietly disappointed that the mule didn't take up the rather plain offer to speak out on what Kamut percieved him to have done.
He remains seated. He was not much of a one for posturing over dominance.
"No. My duties are irrelevant to you. You seem to object to something I have done. This is your chance to challenge it."
Your chance to challenge it before your mistrust divides loyal Garou.
He'd seen the look Kamut gave him on the night they had returned the children. He had heard the veiled challenge in Kamuts words at the moot, in collusion with his fellow Ragabash. He genuinely believes the rightness of his action though. He is acting to prevent rifts forming within the Garou of this Caern.

"I am not sure what you mean, I have raised no objection to you." Kamut offers a friendly, albeit malformed, smile. "What is it you think I've taken issue with?" Kasiya's perception of accusations and belligerence continue to be in his own head, as Kamut shows no sign of anything but innocent curiosity at this point.

Not one to dance around a topic, Kasiya takes him at his word, accepting the smile as a placation.
"If that is so then I am wrong. I believed you objected to my decision to bring the dead here to release them. I would not wish for division between loyal Garou. That is why I asked to speak with you, to..."
he cocks his head to one side for a moment, listening to a voice only he can hear, then nods almost imperceptibly.
"... air any grievances you might have had."
He shows no shame at the prospect that he had misjudged the Mule. He had made mistakes before and would do so again. He looks placidly up to his peer.

"I do not recall suggesting any such thing, the only reference I made to you bringing tortured ghosts into the sanctity of the Caern was asking if you had received some of your information from them. I am sure being able to talk to the dead offers you great opportunities, though undoubtedly it comes at a price." He shrugs, though not strongly enough to truly be dismissive. Discussion of that matter would end at Kasiya's wish, not Kamut's. "I am glad you would air your grievances with me, many would not be so patient."

The tightening around Kasiya's eyes is fair indication that Kamut is indeed correct. His sight is a double-edged sword.
"It does. Though others with greater sight pay a more terrible price."
His thoughts drift to Anna and her as yet unfinished Rite of Passage. He stands, still needing to look up to meet Kamut's gaze.
"I am glad there is no bad blood blood between us. If you ever doubt the course of my actions I hope you will speak out as plainly to me as I have to you."
Your duty to question, among others. I must have mistaken the influence of your Shadow Lord heritage upon your speech for belligerence and evasiveness. Your words speak accusation, your body not at all. Perhaps it is our different upbringings.

Kamut smiles. "I will say what needs to be said." He falls silent for a few seconds, clearly waiting for Kasiya to end the conversation, but then something else comes to mind. "I am suprised you have come to me, my own opinions notwithstanding I am sure I noticed some of the others take issue.... no, I'm sure I was mistaken. My apologies."

He nods, closing his eyes for a moment. A sign of trust in such troubled times. Unsure whether Kamut refers to his own birth or Kasiya's growing infamy as the local wierdo, he still feels a need to know. The Ragabash rarely say anything out of turn and this one seems rather serious.
"What are apologies to Wolves? Speak your mind. I will do no less."

"Apologies surely mean as much to a wolf as anyone else? If I do not apologise for my mistakes, like in this case speaking without thinking, how can others know that I acknowledged my mistakes and can be expected to learn from them?" He shrugs, he'd been in a pack with both and rarely did either side of the Garou really have any understanding of the other. Especially not amongst his fellow Cliath.

"A wolf does as he must and never regrets. He lives forever now. He has no need of apology."
There's a strong sense of fond remembrance in Kasiya's tone. He always thinks back to the simplicity of life before the change, then consciousness expanded like an explosion in his mind and forced him to consider his actions.
"Since I am no longer solely a wolf you may have my apology for misjudging you, much as I accept yours. When you have considered your words I will be glad to hear them. Do not let me keep you from the fire. I shall stay to watch the Sunrise."
You won't speak on so I'll give you a way to leave. I've achieved what I needed to, if not in the manner I had anticipated.

It takes Kamut a few seconds to really acknowledge the depth of Kasiya's lack of understanding, though it doesn't show. He continues after the apparent pause for consideration. "I didn't mention regret, only acknowledging one's mistakes. If you ignore your mistakes and fail to acknowledge them, you will only continue to make them again. A wolf does not suggest a packmate walk into a trapped forest and then act like it was good advice when his packmate is lamed, surely?" But he was running on unnecesarrily by waxing poetic and had already been dismissed. Kamut merely nods and returns inside. (continued, suprise suprise, here)

As the other leaves, Kasiya returns to his seated position, facing the sunrise. Once the other has had ample time to get inside and settled once more, he speaks out quietly in the language of the spirits:
"What do you make of him Hans? I just do not know."
He's pretty sure the little spirit would have been watching. They had been working together closely the past few days and even though it had not been possible to include him in the Rite, no doubt he was itching to know what had passed.
