Saxon keeps running alongside Vasara until he reaches the scrag, and attacks the left side while Nadya attacks the right.
The larger scrag flexes its claws and grins as the three stronger members of Slagbroeder approached it. It didn't appear at all worried that it was outnumbered. Instead it straightens up from its slouch and rushes into the fray. Vasara's leaping rake, though not quite effective against the more powerful of the two scrags, seems to have the desired effect. The scrag, not the most intelligent of bane spirits, unsuccessfully attempts to claw at Vasara as he leaps past, allowing Nadya and Saxon to get their attacks in unhindered. The two of them roar as they lay in their claws, each of them tearing at one of the scrag's sides. It screams with rage and pain, and forgets about Vasara as it concentrates its rage on Nadya. Already filled with rage and battle-lust, Nadya feels her control begin to weaken the scrag's rage spurs hers on.
The sound of Cloud-Dancer's snarl filled the smaller scrag's head. Despite's Kamut's lack of confidence in his own skill as a warrior, his leaping rake hits the scrag hard, and it almost stumbles as Kamut tears away a good chunk of its essence with his claw. Anna's teeth, though less effective, still manage to tear away at its side. The scrag musters up what's left of its courage to leap at Cloud-Dancer and rake its razor-sharp claws across her shoulder. It draws blood, but not too deeply, and Cloud-Dancer's continuing snarl and somewhat less effective claw attacks leave the scrag sufficiently cowed. It cowers submissively, and appears too overwhelmed to continue fighting.
But although the fight is going well so far, the odds are about to turn against them. The faster banes have already made it to the six Garou, and the others aren't far behind. Two more scrags arrive, with a pack of four hound-like banes nipping at their heels.
Nadya is forced to spend willpower to avoid frenzy

"Keep on moving! Do not stand and fight!" Vasara roared as he lunged claws first at the large Scrag's back to keep it disoriented, or even better, to make it die. "Move and cover each other!"
They were in the opening, now they just had to get everyone through before the swarm of Banes arrived.
(ooc: claws at the back of the scrag, split pool into 2 claws, if others can break off then abort and run)

Some part of her unconscious mind dimly recognised the odds were against her, but not a part Nadya often listens to. It's only when Vasara commands a retreat that she even considers the option, so caught in the violence she is. Nadya gives the Scrag one last hasty rake with her claws before spinning around and breaking into a run, dropping down to all fours as she does.
((single claw attack (at a penalty for running at full speed), then run like hell))

As the little scrag lost the will to fight, Cloud-Dancer spared a look at Kamut and Anna. "Get moving," she ordered. "Now!"
She retreated too, but turned to face the scrag Vasara was facing and snarled at the bane before breaking into a run after the younger Garou.

Kamut nods at Cloud-Dancer, there was no point giving the Scrag a scratch when it was already cowering, so he turned and ran in the same direction as the others.

Anna left the scrag to wallow in self-pity and followed after Kamut, running as fast as she could away from the horde of approaching banes.

Saxon circled for another hit, but at Vasara's command broke off into a run after Nadya.
The larger scrag seems less affected by Cloud-Dancer's snarl than the little one, although it still falters somewhat. Cloud-Dancer takes off running soon afterwards, and the two other scrags give chase.
Both Vasara and Nadya get another hit in, tearing away a little more of the scrag's essence before breaking into a run after the others. The scrag limps after them half-heartedly. Although deeply wounded and cowed by Cloud-Dancer's snarl, the footsoldiers of the Wyrm live for murder and bloodlust. It was not giving up, despite the fact that it had almost no chance of catching up with the two Fenrir.
Heeding Cloud-Dancer's words, Anna and Kamut run off too. Kamut quickly takes the lead, with Saxon close behind. Anna is a little slower to react, and before she can put enough distance between herself and the banes, the pack of hounds catches up and the four of them snap at her hind legs. Luckily, she is moving too fast for any of them to rip her to shreds, and two of the hounds only snap at air, while the third only comes away with tufts of fur. The fastest of the hounds manages to bite at her leg, but she escapes with only a fleshwound, and keeps running.
The six Garou make their way over the rubble and rough terrain and head west, with the banes in hot pursuit. Among the howling of the bane-hounds and the roars of the scrags, the angry screech of the giant crablike banes can be heard as it burrows back into its lair.
Anna takes one level of damage, regains rage. Everyone else: No change.
You're not safe yet. Keep posting.
No-Eyes chuckled in her head as Anna fell behind. "Your pack don't need to run fast, they just need to run faster than you. Though if you hamstring one of them the tables will turn. The Scrags will be happy as long as they've got something to kill, even if the rest of you get away. Do that and we can talk."

Vasara shifts into lupus for better speed and running endurance. After all, a wolf could easily run for hours. "Keep close, we need to ditch these banes somewhere!" Vasara growled as he tried to figure out where the Banes could be led.
"Any ideas? We can't run to caern with all these banes on our tales, we need to lure them somewhere." Vasara glimpsed at the pursuiting horde "Central city could be one possibility, at least we might get them fighting Weaver there..."
And as a last resort, there was always chance that some of their pursuiters would get tired on the pursuit and the pack could turn and finish of the last Banes still daring to follow.

"You're right, I have one. Don't turn back for me." Kamut didn't waste any more time on words before he slackens his pace as he too takes to his wolf form, so that even Anna can overtake him. Then he consciously wills himself to miss a stride in his run. He stumbles and loses a lot of speed, but thanks to four legs is back upright soon. The ploy isn't so obvious as falling flat on his face, but the subtlety makes it more believable. Then to build on that, as he gets back into his stride, he takes off in the wrong direction. For all appearances lost and disorientated by his stumble. He hopes the combination of slowness and stumbling might lead the banes to think he's weak and an easy catch, and so draw them off.
If all goes to plan, he'll draw at least some of them off, then he'll be able to go to ground. If they turn out to be especially foolish banes, the hunters may soon become the hunted. Worst comes to worst, the pack might at least be able to handle those that stick with them.
((dodging if they actually get close enough to take a shot at him))

Nadya glances back as Kamut throws himself to the wolves. "Ballsy." Nadya concentrates hard on her attempt to join the others as they turn to wolves, though her grasp of the wolf is tenuous at best so it's a struggle. "We can show them the scenic route, I can handle a few runs around the city."

Anna snarled at her ancestor's words. But then she really shouldn't have expected more. "I have a better idea," she said under her breath.
She hopped ahead of Kamut and barked to Vasara: "The gauntlet is thinner in the park," she said. "I can pull you through, before they're close enough. They can't follow... I hope."
The park was big, and there were places where a few wolves could appear out of nowhere in the early evening without being spotted. She just hoped Kamut would be ok away from the pack. She didn't think it was a good idea to be on their own right now.

"You do that," Cloud-Dancer said, glancing over her shoulder at the horde. "Don't get bogged down into a fight. I'll find you at the Caern."
She broke off from the rest of them, and started running north, in the opposite direction from Kamut. She howled a challenge to the banes as she went, hoping at least some would follow her instead of Kamut or the rest of the pack. She could easily lose them in the city, as long as she didn't get lost herself.

Saxon kept up with the rest of the pack, and waited for Vasara to make the decision. Both ideas had merit, but the New Moons' plans seemed a little suicidal. Whatever happened, he would stand and fight with the pack.
The rough piles of rubble, the occasional loose debris, and the general roughness of the terrain made the run rather difficult for all six of them. For once, Anna seemed to have an easier time than the others as she easily navigated her way to the front of the group and made her suggestion to Vasara. Vasara and Nadya kept up a steady pace ahead of the banes, while Saxon lagged behind slightly as the hounds caught up.
Lucky for Saxon, Kamut chose that moment to stumble and break off, causing the pack of hounds to fall on him instead. Two of them snapped at his side, but the first one missed him by a hair as he ducked out of the way. The second fell a few centimetres short, and Kamut gets away unscathed, though followed by a pack of bane-hounds.
Cloud-Dancer followed Kamut's plan and broke off in the other direction, leading the scrags to follow her. The sudden change in direction causes one of them to trip and fall with a snarl. The second scrag is faster, however, and manages to snap its overlarge teeth at Cloud-Dancer as she runs. The rest of the pack can hear her snarl in pain as the scrag tears away a piece of flesh with a triumphant scream. They can't tell how badly she is hurt, however, as she keeps running regardless, with scrag on her tail.
The rest of the horde keep up the chase, not even bothering to step around the fallen scrag. They have more distance between them and the pack now. A quick head count reveals at least ten more banes, including a couple more scrags, some more hounds, and a number of deformed twisted creatures that none of them have encountered before.
The 4 hounds are immediately behind Kamut. The scrag is immediately behind Cloud-Dancer. The rest of the banes are now two turns behind Vasara and co.
"Good going." No-Eyes remarked on her success getting through the rough terrain. "Yes, you could escape that way. Lateral thinking with the complexities of the shadow world. At least you're settling into your auspice, if not your heritage."

"Get us through." Vasara answered to Anna, short and simple. "If any of them follows, we kill them." He gave a quick look at Kamut and Could-Dancer. "Brave kid. I'll remember that on the next moot. He better haul his arse there." Cloud-Dancer on the other hand was Fenris, adren AND Ragabash so Vasara had complete trust that if anyone could outrun the Banes, it would be her.
Vasara looked at Saxon, a bit worried, he just hoped that the big ahroun could keep up until they got into the park. "Keep on moving!" he growled at Saxon, trying to inspire him to run faster "We will not get stuck here!".

Kamut put his head down and gained as much speed as he could, he needed to get enough distance to get out of sight for a few precious seconds. Then he'd be able to lose them. If and when he does, he turns off sharply and drops out of sight, drawing on his ability to blur into the surroundings so he just looks, sounds and smells like part of the rubble. (basically I'm going to be posting the same thing every turn, Kamut will keeping trying to gain some distance and get behind some cover, then activate blur of the milky eye with added willpower to be sure once he's managed to get out of sight and hide as well as he can I don't mind if you leave off rolling for it until the others get back, if you want to add some suspense )
