The old concrete structure was a true eyesore in the surroundings of Berlin that had been rebuilt in recent decades. The structure was a large, rough, grey mass with holes for windows on the ground and first floor. At the rear of the building was a large windowless extension that didn't extend above the ground floor, and had a place for a pair of garage doors big enough to accept a moderately-sized truck.
Most remarkable, the building was old enough to have a strong imprint in the Umbra. The first floor of the building was woven tightly in the pattern web, and every single window opening was overlapped with many layers of web. Pattern spiders moved around on the surface of the webs in some chaotic pattern. The ground floor, oddly enough, was not bound so tightly in the web. The occasional doorway or window that existed in the physical realm was just flat concrete in the Umbra for some reason, and from the openings that remain vines and leaves are seen to sprout. The webs from the first floor extend down and interweave with the vines of the ground floor, and occasionally the webs seem to be winning in binding the vines into place but occasionally the vines seem to be winning in breaking the webbing.

But as Simeon slid sideways into the Umbra, he found it difficult to focus on the details of the structure. The air whipped around him and clouds of steam and smoke whirled with the strong wind. Bursts of light or sparks seemed to come from the building occasionally, and the there was a high-pitched wailing in the air. It was impossible to tell whether the wailing was from the wind, or some tormented soul. There were a great number of pattern spiders in the area, and the others didn't seem to be following him through the gauntlet.
A few seconds later, Katrine, Hands-of-Mercy and Cloud-Dancer arrive to see the same whirling clouds.

Cloud-Dancer retreated a few more steps.
"Sorry for the delay, hope we didn't scare you," she said to Simeon. "The gauntlet is thick here in the inner city, and it will require some effort to reach across it. That's why the mirror shattered. I advise you to carry a mirror around too. Otherwise, you'll be stuck sacrificing your essence like we did today." That was it for the lecture. There were more pressing matters at hand.
"See what I was talking about?" she said loudly, to be heard over the sounds of the wailing winds, and pointed towards the building.

Hands of Mercy reverts to Crinos as they step across, then shifts further down into Lupus to better endure the winds. He looks around for anything that might jog his memory, any stories that might be relevant.

Katrine could not help but to stare at it, for this was a rare sight indeed. “They are fighting.” Like it would explain everything. Holding up a hand in front of her face to shield it and looking thought her spread fingers, it was still hard to look straight at. “What are we going to do about it?” Looking at the others to see if they had anything to add about it

Having reverted to his Lupus form upon arriving Simeon had turned his face away from the wind as he got his bearings. The hackles on his neck rose when he saw he was alone at first...especially in such a place and with all those ...spiders. He was too relieved to jump when the others slipped into place and merely gave a slight wag of his tale to express how dreadfully glad he was to see them.
"Of course not...I just "love" the company of pattern spiders...I was thinking of inviting myself over for some tea." Replied blandly as he turned his head back to try and look at the structure better. His eyes were squinting in the wind as he flattened his ears " Though that wailing is..." Shaking his head he looked over at Katrine " If I am not mistaken we are seeing the Weaver and the Wyld contesting for this bit of space. I wonder if that would cause this storm?" He added as an after thought.

"That's exactly what I thought," Cloud-Dancer said loudly, nodding to both Katrine and Simeon. "But the real question is, what has brought the Wyld so deep into the Weaver's backyard?"
She pointed to the first floor, and vines there that were so out of place.
"I want to find out," she said. "But let's not stop for tea either. Katrine and I will creep in for a closer look. You men watch our backs, watch the spiders and let us know if we've been spotted. This deep in the city, we can be surrounded within seconds so let's keep alert."
With that she shifted to Lupus and waited for Katrine to join her.

Hands of Mercy begins to move around a little, to get a better look at the place, the better to spot an encroaching threat for the pair of Rotagar.
Whatever brought it here, the Wyld spirit isn't happy about being here. I think that's where the storm is coming from. It certainly matches one tale I've heard from France.

Simeon cracked a wolfish grin, he was more and more Liking Cloud-Dancer, she took his joking in stride, which was always a nice thing. But at the mention of the two going closer to the building put him more on alert and his ears rose as best they could in the wind to test the sounds, if any could be heard over the wailing. He gave a curt nod and was actually impressed that he was able to refrain from any retorts bout it being a pleasure to watch their….back sides.
“Perhaps it was called…or there is something here the Wyld wants back?” The Wild was after all a force of change…who knew what caused it to act as it did, chaotic as it may seem, the Wyld had a purpose.
As the two began to move he shadowed them a bit staying far enough back to not cause additional trouble, yet close enough to be there if he was needed.

Katrine shifted into the form of a small grey wolf, following right behind Cloud Dancer getting in for a closer look, knowing that the others would give them fair warning, of course still keeping her own eyes open

Could-Dancer and Many-Shadows moved up quietly and managed to get within a few metres of the building without any trouble. Approaching closer looked dangerous, however. The vines on the ground floor twitched and moved erratically every few seconds, and with their closer examination they could see that each vine had rows of vicious-looking thorns sproating from their sides that looked like they could shred flesh from bone. Even as they watched, a vine lashed out at a pattern spider that climbed down too far and ripped one of it's legs off in a spray of oily fluids. The pattern spider retreated immediately, making no more noise than the clicking of it's remaining legs against concrete. From their closer inspection Cloud-Dancer and Many-Shadows could also see further inside, the vines stretched along the walls and floor of the inside of the structure, and in many places cracks in the concrete could be seen. They could also tell that, though the wind roaring around them was one source of wailing, they could also hear it coming from inside the building as well. From a distance the two sounds mingled, but up close they could tell something inside was being tormented.
Simeon and Hands-of-Mercy couldn't yet see anything to be especially worried about. The pattern spiders seemed comfortable to stay on the first floor of the building and didn't seem interested in interfering with the reconnaisance.

Cloud-Dancer remained silent as she tried to get a better look inside. Stay put, she motioned to Katrine, and then tried to step a little closer. Whatever was inside was in great torment, just as Hands of Mercy had suggested. Then she faded from view, and took on the texture of her surroundings. Well, at least she tried to, and sneak closer to the source of the wailing.

Hands of Mercy remained back from the group, keeping a good vantage point to spot any advance by the spiders. Without his bow he'd be useless for a few precious seconds if a fight did kick off, but Cloud-Dancer had said that she wanted to avoid a fight, and for that purpose he was better placed.

The grey wolf nodded it’s head to show that she got the order, being closer then the two others, Katrine held her guard up for anything near by doing something funny and trying to make sure that Cloud Dancer did not get any nasty surprises, of course that being hard when the other wolf as invisible, yet the mental bond would warn her and she tried to reach out to the others. There is something inside, Cloud Dancer Rhya is checking it out, there a wailing coming from inside the building as well. And then she pointed her snout the direction that Cloud had vanished, she would properly smell her before she could see her

Simeon paced to and fro as he watched the two get closer. The mental touch from Katrine was acknowledge with what was akin to a mental *nod*. His pacing came to a stop when Cloud_Dancer went in closer and he found himself staring at the place she had been, ready to spring into action if needed.
It Seems Weaver is not yet fully aware of this intrusion or it in a minor annoyance. He commented as he watch what happened to the one Pattern spider.

As Cloud-Dancer entered through the gap in the concrete that would be a doorway to the reception in the physical world, she became increasingly difficult to see until very soon all three of them lost sight of her entirely. She also broke the connection to Simeon's waking dream so she could concentrate on going unnoticed. What they could see was that the vines and thorns didn't seem to be reacting to anything, so her entry was going unnoticed by them as well.
The pause stretched out, with none of them able to see her any more, and they were left just to watch and wait. It seemed they had spent too long in the Weaver's territory to go unnoticed though, a faint clicking alerted them to one of the pattern spiders cautiously approaching them and watching them with it's cluster of black, beady eyes. It stayed a few metres away from the group, and just sat and watched silently for a few seconds. There was still no sign of Cloud-Dancer.
((just a reminder, while you're in Simeon's waking dream all actions are at a -2 penalty, but you can all break out of it at a moments notice))
