Commands-the-Tides, the Fostern Theurge, seemed to think Jona's dream implied he was attempting to summon a raven gaffling, as it is customary to make an offering of treasure, or coins, to the gaffling when attempting to summon it. Emelie returned to the Umbra about fifteen minutes later, ready for the summoning, and Jona had found Jess and Katrine and explained the plan.
The four of them stood out in the Umbral side of the backyard and got ready.

Upon being told what the group were planning, Jess had grinned hugely, and set off at a run toward the city in a very rapid energetic search for suitable shiny things to please the Raven once it arrived. A little while later, she practically bounces back up to the group, and allows Emelie to distribute what she's found in the area as she sees fit. That done, she stands in the area and waits for the ritual to commence, curious as to how Emelie's ritual will compare with the rough and ready approach Nanny had always taken.
((What can I have found at short notice, ST peeps?))

Emilie wasted no time in getting to her small flat and then returning to the Caern. Once back at the Library she slipped sideways back into the Umbra and sought out the others. her energy levels were high as this would be her first summoning on her own, using the methods taught to her by White Crow. She prayed to Gaia and the Great Spirit of his people that she did him proud.
Finding the other she smiled and nodded as she set down her precious medicine bag, a gift from White Crow himself. It was another thing that showed how different her 'education' had been from many of the others, as it was a soft buckskin leather, with heavy fringe and elaborate bead-work that was found among the American Indians, and yet the clasp was made wit the button from a pair of Levi jeans, a touch added by White Crow himself. Looking at the other three she simply asked "Are you ready?"

Jona glanced through the shiny things that Jess had collected and then curiously through Emelie's strange stuff. There was no denying, the Children of Gaia were just weird. He had to admit though, different was good.
"Yeah I'm ready," he said to her. "You ready Jess?"

Katrine still had the sword hanging from her side, but it seemed that it wasn't needed anymore. She watched the preparations. She was quite new herself, and had only witnessed a very small number of rites. She was interested to see the summoning as well.
(Jess, PM for you.)

Jess also looks oddly at the bag, sitting in a rather strange juxtaposition with her offerings - a couple of mis-matched sparkly gut-glass earrings and half a broken CD, acquired from a small trash-heap gaffling in return for a bit of flattery and the service of digging them out, as their bright sparkly natures didn't sit well with the grimy, rotting gaffling.
"Yeah, I'm ready." Jess looks to Emelie to start things off.

As the four garou were preparing for the rite, a thin young man appeared near them. Jona and Jess recondnised him as the garou who had left with Simeon that morning. "Excuse me, may I offer my assistance, honored equals?" Zachary said, and watched the four garou carefully. He resisted the urge to wave at Katrine.

From the opposite direction that Zachery, Hands of mercy walks up in homid. He looks at the other newcomer for a long moment before speaking, his expression not revealing much of what he's feeling towards the Shadow Lord.
He addresses Emelie, as he knew she would be leading the Rite. "Commands the Tides decided he did not require my aid." He says by way of explanation and introduction. "Can I be of assitance here?"

The sudden appearance of two more Garou and both offering to help was unexpected. But it was also a good thing as the Spirits love an audience and it would be most helpful. Smiling she nodded in greeting to the two new comers. “Well, since we have the numbers….I will be pacing out a circle and will need someone at each of the cardinal points, North, East, South and West once I get it walked out.”
Even as she was speaking she began to pace the circle out. Stopping at Jess she held out her hands for the shinies she had found. “I am going to do this in a very ritualistic way, in order to flatter the spirit and make it more willing to come and assist. It may take some time. So, once the circle is drawn and you take you places. Feel free to sit.”
Once the circle was almost done she stopped in the south-west part not yet closing the circle and waiting til they all took their spots. Only then would she close the circle.

Zachary nodded at Hands of Mercy, he had nothing personal against the the Fenrir. The ahroun walked to the east and sat down. "If it is okay, I will take east" Zachary said. He held purebreed and tribe to the lands of the east, this,he hoped, would make the spirit feel comfortable about him.

Jona took one of the positions that Em had indicated and just stood there for now. He watched the group intently. Here he was surrounded by four stragglers, and each of them was a prospective pack-mate. His eyes glanced over them all in turn, and quickly dismissed Zachary as a potential ally. He didn't know Hands of Mercy or Katrine at all, but they were Fenrir, and Fenrir were good allies to have, especially in a warzone. Finally, he settled on Emelie. He didn't know much about the Children of Gaia, but she seemed to have two brain cells to rub together, and she took initiative.
He looked over at Jess and gave her a grin. He was actually in a good mood. They were getting closer to their goal.

Em watched as Zach took the east spot, given his apparent age he seemed oddly fitting there. Looking over at Jona she gave him a slight smile as she came to a desicion to direct who stood were rather than let it fall to chance. " Jona, if you will take the Western position...With what I know of those present, I would like to optomize our chances in teh summoning. As a Philodox. your energy will be better served in the West. it is the point of the circle that signifies the ending and beginning." Looking back at Zachary she nodded to him. "East is the point of coming of age, becoming an adult. It is good to have youth there. To the south I will need Jess, it is the point of cleansing and purification. And lastly," she looked at Katrine and Hands of Mercy "a gallaird, to take the North as it stands for Remembrance, though a Ragabash will serve as well."

Katrine looked at Hands of Mercy to see if he would want to take the Northern point. He was a Galliard and it seemed fitting. She knew the spirits didn't care about breeding and renown was all that mattered to them, so he deserved that place as much as she did. "Go ahead," she said to Hands of Mercy. "I will watch."

Hands of Mercy nods and smiles at Katrine. "Thank you." Then he takes the position offered and looks around the circle. Before she begins, he asks Emelie. "Would it be suitable for me to assume my breed form for the Rite, or any other such considerations?"

Hmm... She never had learned that Rite, but hopefully that wouldn't get in the way. Jess grins back at Jona as she takes her position in the circle. This was going to be interesting, and with luck, a step towards healing the city. She glances over to where she can tell Cat is watching from and offers him a grin, too. Then she returns her attention to the circle and the others in it, and allows herself to focus. She pauses her breathing a moment and then begins to take the first of several deep breaths, clearing her mind of the frustrations and excitement of the past few days so she can focus better on the task at hand.
((Using the motions of Breath of Gaia to focus myself, but not trying to get all the way through it if the ritual starts too early.))
