Hands of Mercy had been standing with an arrow knocked already, so the approach of the wolves didn't cause him to move much save to start paying them a little more attention.
((I'll loose an activated shot at the forerunner if they charge.))

At sight of the Eastern wolves, Erik takes a couple of steps forward, his battered, gore-covered Hispo form shifting to an imposing, almost regal, Crinos as he passes his Fenrir comrades. His stance threatening, his steely gaze is locked firmly on his opposition. His pure-white fur, though matted with blood and viscera, completely torn away in parts, still seemed almost luminescent in the darkness. Claws and fangs shine, the fluid upon them glistening where moonlight touched them. Blinded-by-Hate He silently calls-out to his grandfather, Aid me against these degenerate pigs! These accursed enemies of our Fatherland!Breathing heavy, muscles tensing, his every fiber oozing with anger and hate, he grabs a severed scrag-limb from nearby, tossing it in their general direction. Raising his claws in challenge, he lets out a deep, guttural growl. "COME ON THEN, YOU FUCKING PUSSIES!!!" He bellows, his words slicing through the night's sky like a rusty blade, "COME DIE LIKE YOUR FRIENDS, OR FUCK OFF HOME!!!"((Please forgive my wangstiness... spending my last Willpower point to ignore wound penalties (or, to ignore Erik's lisp for a turn ), calling on Ancestors and Pure Breed, activating Persuasion, all in the vain attempt to Intimidate them into either attacking, or fucking right off.))

Seeing the wolf shapes in the distance made her shiver a bit, those must be the Spirals that she heard about so many times before, but never been fortune or unlucky enough to stand face to face with. Concerning Erik, the thought; and he still kiss his mother on the cheek with that mouth, had sprung to mind, but now something was different, the words was what she had come to expect from him, yet his stance and the conviction, that was something new, less arrogant and pigheaded. Standing firm she awaited Clouds orders on their next move.

Cloud-Dancer felt her blood boil at the sight of them, but unlike Erik she reigned in her temper.
"Get back, Cliath," she snarled at Erik. Two of them were hurt and the guardian spirit was still recovering. They weren't ready to go up against the pack of spirals, and whatever banes accompanied them, on their own. "Are you trying to get us all killed?"
She got ready to grab Erik if he decided to do something stupid... well, more stupid.

It was without a doubt a fierce threat that Erik made and there was a lengthy silence after Erik's challenge (and Cloud-Dancer's quieter chastisement). Then one of the wolves began to walk forwards slowly. He grew to his full Crinos form as he walked, and as he got closer they could get a better look at him. He was obviously an experienced warrior, riddled with scars from a hundred battles he had won. At the distance in the darkness they couldn't make out much detail, just that has fur was typically impure and he had a range of items arrayed around a belt of some sort.
He stopped just short of the wall, honouring their territory by not crossing the border. "I am Bone-Cracker-ikthya, Adren Ahroun of the Black Spiral Dancers." He paused in his cool, composed response. He was watching Erik closely, estimating him. "I would normally not lessen myself by accepting a challenge from someone so lower in station, but if you so fervently wish to prove yourself strong and honourable I will condescend to accept."
"I choose here and now in the no-man's-land between countries, you and me, our claws and teeth, to the death. The survivor will then be free to return to their territory, unmolested." Though Erik might not have realised it, the others would of had to have been blind and deaf to have missed that 'out of his depth' didn't even begin to describe Erik's position. "Or you could turn tail and walk back to your far wiser companions."
((assuming Hands isn't going to fire when there's honour at stake... PM me if I'm wrong))

As the Spiral advances, Hands of Mercy levels his bow at the figure, then as the response sounds out, hesitates. He continues to line the shot up, but is not about to pick a fight with an Adren and his pack without a direct order.
((Aiming for now, I doubt I'll take the shot, but if I do, it'll be a well-aimed shot, I guess.))

To say Erik was in somewhat of a pickle would be an understatement. But he had made his bed, and now he must lie in it.
"You heard the fucker," He says back to Cloud-Dancer, "They may not give a fuck about honour, but I'm still Garou. I can't not go out there."
He glares over to the Crinos on the other side of the wall, ready to move forwards, before hesitating for a moment.
"And what guarantee've I got," He growls, "That your buddies back there won't try'n jump me once I come closer?"
It was a genuine question. While Bone-Cracker at least seemed to show a vestige of honour, Erik had not been raised to accept the word of Black Spiral Dancers on face value.

"Stand back," Cloud-Dancer repeated. "You are still Garou, and I am still your elder. You will do as I say."
There were no tricks, no gifts, and no threats. She didn't need them. She had rank, after all, and it was hopefully enough to stop Erik throwing his life away pointlessly. She had no words for Bone-Cracker and his pack. She was wary, though. If he realised that they were without the protection of the Guardian, then there was a good chance they would venture across the wall and rip them to shreds, regardless of Erik's decision.

This was turning really bad really fast and Erik was arguing with his alpha, which seemed even more messed up, they didn’t seem like a pack at all when you looked at them now, what could have been taken as a bit of friendly competition between Erik and Hands was clearly not, and Eriks big ego was about to get all of them into bog trouble. Katrine had rested in the feeling that it was their turf, that they knew what they where doing, but right now that illusion was crumbling and they could only hope that the Spirals would not catch up to that fact. Suddenly it hit her like a thunder bolt and she knew what to say. Speaking loud addressing the Spirals “There be no honour in such a duel and that might not matter to you and your kind, but it matters to us, unless you can provide a fair challenge, we will stay or our side, as you stay at yours, for nothing can be proven before Luna and the Spirits, by letting this farce continue.” They threw a quick glance at Cloud, to see if she overstepped herself or any other sign of what to do, at least this might have gain them a little more time and time was all they could hope for right now

"No guarantee but my word, just as I have no guarantee but your word, just as I have no guarantee but honour itself that your friend with the bow will not assist you. Unless you are so dishonourable that you are unable to commit to the terms of a duel." Bone-Cracker looked from Cloud-Dancer to Katrine as they attempted to intervene, then back at Erik.
"That is why I suggested here within the gate, we would be an equal distance from our companions. If anything you will be at an advantage, if there is a breach of honour, none of my pack rely on ranged combat to cover their inadequacies. But you issued a challenge..." He paused and looked at Katrine, to draw her attention to his point. Erik had issued the challenge, after all, not he. It was not his place to withdraw it. "...and I accept it. That is, if you were not merely putting on a show of shallow bravado with no true intent of honouring your word. If that is the case I suggest you let your superior put you back on your leash." He smiled at Cloud-Dancer. His demeanour and tone were friendly, almost charming. "And what may I call you, my dear?"
With their attention so firmly on Erik and Bone-Cracker the group didn't notice the approach of Stonetooth as he trotted along quietly, until he stopped close behind them and gave a low growl at the sight of the Black Spiral Dancers. His health had clearly been replenished in the time they had spent holding the wall, he only had a few scratches left. Bone-Cracker didn't bat an eye at the new arrival.
((Erik would regain rage for being goaded... but he's lost the wolf, no rage for you))

Torn between following the command of an elder, or upholding his own personal honour, it was clear that Erik was unsure of how to proceed.
He continues to glare at Bone-Cracker for, to him, what seems like an eternity, before turning his attention to Cloudy.
"Cloud-Dancer-ryha," He says, his voice low, "I do not question your authority, and I apologise if my brashness led you to believe so."
His body-language shows signs of submission to his elder, yet he retains an aura of pride as he takes a step back away from the wall, looking back at the Spiral at the gate.
"Looks like we'll have to do this some other time," He growls, still itching for a fight, "Seems my boss doesn't want me wasting my talents on the likes of you."
His eyes narrow.
"But I'm sure we can arrange a play-date some other time. I'll be keeping an eye out for you." He adds, before returning to his companions' side.
Still on edge, he's half-expecting Boney to lunge at him, and readies himself, just in case.

Hands of Mercy keeps the bow pointed, arrow ready, not moving.

Cloud-Dancer seemed satisfied by Erik's compliance, even though he still seemed intent on antagonising the Dancers. But she really wasn't expecting any more.
"I am Cloud-Dancer, Adren of the Fenrir,"she said to Bone-Cracker.
"You will have your fight, but not today. None of us are crossing to your territory." The arrival of Stonetooth had changed matters. The pack would have to be very brave, or very foolhardy, to cross over now. "And none of you are crossing into ours," she added.

Relieve washed over her as Stonetooth joined them again, the dancer had made a point, but so had she and it did not really matter how they gotten here, the important thing was that there would be no fighting. Feeling every tense muscle in her body starting to loose up, something else freed up inside her and she wanted to tell Erik a few truths, but she manage not too. This is not your sept, this is not your pack, she voice chanted in her mind. There where sides of Erik that reminded her of unpleasent times and why she ended up here in the first place. It came clear that all she wanted was a bed, somthing to eat and alone time, not necessarily in that order

Bone-Cracker smirked at Erik. "You only make yourself a liar as well as a fool by pretending that you haven't chosen to rescind the challenge yourself." Then he turned to Cloud-Dancer and gave a mock bow, his attention momentarily switched to her Labrys and back before he replied. "Cloud-Dancer... not one that rolls off the tongue easily, but nonetheless I'm sure my packmates will repeat it in praise of your body as they take turns raping you. I have rather different tastes, myself... do you have any children?"
Stonetooth snarled and stepped forwards. "Leave now, unless you want to feel my teeth again."
Bone-Cracker watched the great spirit calmly. "Your time will come when it is right, Stonetooth. You will be bound to my service when this war is over." Then he took a few steps back, watching Hands-of-Mercy closely, before he turned and returned to his pack.
Stonetooth looked around at them and spoke once Bone-Cracker had moved back out of earshot. "He speaks the truth. I believe I could only kill two of his pack before they would bring me down. He's tested this gate before." He turned to Cloud-Dancer. "Make sure Walks-with-Death knows that. When they attack in force I have little chance to hold this gate alone."
((not for a single offhand remark, no, cloud-dancer can have rage though))
