Saxon was quiet, the Bane had provoked him and he had lost it. True the bane had paid for doing so with it’s life, but still it rankled with him, losing control that is what he hated. He smiled at Anna though, “I think it could not believe it either.” He looked around the battlefield as if committing it to memory, people he knew had died and that always soured a victory.
He joined Cloud-dancer shifting to lupus and then set off with her to get the truck.

While the others stood around, the War Wolf took his strength from Max's gnosis. He seemed to grow bigger as he did. The War Wolf bowed his large head in thanks, but said nothing. He let his icy breath wash over Max, and as he shivered violently, his wounds started to heal.
"Go Lion-cubs," the War Wolf said. "And rebuild."
Time dragged on, and it kept snowing. The rubble and the pit were buried in a thick layer of snow now, and there was nothing left of it in sight. It got colder and colder, but this was how the War Wolf wanted it. This was his lair.
And finally, Saxon and Cloud-Dancer returned, and the group split up. Those unable to run went with Saxon in the truck. The rest followed Cloud-Dancer back to Caern, to bring news of their victory.
(Everyone can have a point of willpower back)
New Thread: Back at the Caern Saxon can take the wounded to Ragnarok.
